It spreads easily and has a nice, bouncy feel when applied. The optimal 3:1:1 ratio of ceramides is particularly soothing when your skin barrier is compromised.
ConsFor those with dry skin, you might find the hydration insufficient over time, so finishing with a rich moisturizer is recommended. The scent has that typical dermatological ointment smell, which might not be everyone's cup of tea.

It's great for layering and provides excellent hydration!
ConsThe price is a bit steep, and there's a distinct artificial scent. But aside from that, I think this might be the gentlest barrier cream among Ceracolla products!

It's perfect for dry skin. When I felt I needed more hydration in the evening, I applied a second layer before bed, and the next day my skin condition was spot on! I've tried Physiogel too, but this feels different! It's more like a sunscreen or whipped cream texture. It absorbs well! While it's not completely oil-free, I think this skin barrier cream would suit most skin types unless you have extremely oily skin!
ConsIf I really had to pick something, it might be the scent? But it's so faint that only someone with super sensitive skin would notice. It has a slight medicinal smell! Personally, it doesn't bother me much, so I'll continue using it without issue!
TipIf you feel you need more richness, instead of applying other products, I think it's better to just apply this cream twice.

In winter, light creams or ampoules often leave my skin feeling very dry and tight. This product was perfect for winter use! It's great to apply this rich cream after a nourishing ampoule before bed. When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels slightly dewy yet firm. Highly recommended!
ConsThe scent has a slight chemical smell, reminiscent of artificial cosmetic fragrances. It's a bit off-putting. I think I would have preferred if it were unscented!

I needed a winter cream and got a great opportunity to try this one. The texture is similar to Cetaphil cream with a bit of moisture (between a typical emulsion and cream). It's almost fragrance-free with a faint natural scent. I prefer unscented products, so I liked this. The application feels like a soft butter that spreads smoothly without being too thick. When first applied, it feels like it creates a protective layer on the skin, which seems great for hydration. It's not oily, but more of a velvety feel? I really liked that! I don't prefer creams that leave an oily residue for morning use, especially when wearing a mask. This cream would be suitable for combination skin types like mine who don't prefer overly rich products as a day cream, especially for winter hydration.
ConsThere's not much to dislike, but if I had to pick something, the scent might be hit or miss for some. I prefer fragrance-free products or those with only natural ingredient scents. This product seems unscented but has a slight medicinal smell. It's not strong, but noticeable during application. Also, it might not be quite enough for those with extremely dry skin.
TipIn these mask-wearing times, applying an extra layer around the mouth and cheeks can help reduce redness and prevent dryness.

Combination in T-zone. Prone to redness, which worsens with environmental changes. I have contact dermatitis but no allergies to fragrances or artificial chemicals. ••Richness (=Moisturizing) Not bad for winter use. Layering it twice or more provides extreme hydration! I intend to keep using it! It lacks hydration when applied alone. It's best to hydrate with toner and essence first, then finish with this cream (stating the obvious, I know). ••Blemishes My skin is sensitive, usually needing 1-2 days to adjust to new products. But this one was so gentle, I had no issues at all!! Truly, I haven't experienced this level of gentleness since using Atobarrier.
Cons••Absorption The texture seems to be between Vaseline and cream. The absorption isn't particularly great... But it's not a major drawback for me since patting it in once or twice does the trick. ••Scent How to describe the scent... New house smell? Plastic scent? [Rating Scale] ★★★★★ Holy grail! ★★★★☆ Willing to buy ★★★☆☆ Not bad. Will use if I have it ★★☆☆☆ Doesn't suit my skin type ★☆☆☆☆ Seriously, don't buy it
TipI accidentally squeezed it out thinking it was a treatment and applied it to my legs - the moisturizing power was insane... If only it were cheaper, I'd want to slather it all over my body

My T-zone tends to get a bit uncomfortable with oily products, leading to shine the next day. The standout feature of this product is definitely how it feels after application! When I first squeezed it onto the back of my hand, it had a firm, ointment-like texture. But when I applied it to my face with gentle massaging motions, it absorbed quickly! I've often disliked products with firmer textures as they tend to sit on the skin, but this one sinks in nicely. Right after application, I thought it might be a bit too hydrating, but after a short while, it settled into a pleasantly matte finish, leaving my T-zone feeling fresh. I was initially worried about my prone-to-milia skin, but I only noticed one or two tiny bumps between my ear and jaw, which I think was just my skin adjusting to a new product. No other blemishes appeared! On the first night, I used this product along with my usual skin emulsion after prepping with a toner pad. The next morning, my skin didn't feel sticky or greasy, but I was a bit concerned it might be too drying. So the following night, I used only this product. When I woke up the next day, my skin felt soft on the surface but deeply hydrated underneath. My mother even noticed, commenting on how firm my skin looked, and started using it herself! ❤Overall❤ With its firm texture that seems to deeply nourish while providing a matte finish without any shine, I highly recommend applying a generous amount before bed!
ConsI didn't have any major issues while using this product! The reason I deducted one star is that while it seemed unscented when I first squeezed it out, I noticed a slight medicinal scent when applying it to my face, which was a bit disappointing. Also, I always prep my skin with a toner pad before applying skincare, but when I applied this product immediately after, it seemed to pill a bit. So I started leaving a short interval between steps.
Tip1. Better for nighttime use! It tends to pill a bit when applied in the morning before makeup! I recommend either applying it with enough time for full absorption before makeup, or using it generously at night before bed. 2. Space out your skincare steps! I applied this product as the final step after using a toner pad, followed by my skin and emulsion. When I allowed sufficient time between each step for absorption before finally applying this product at night, I woke up to skin that felt soft and deeply hydrated.

After finishing the GD cream and switching to this product, I noticed a visible improvement in my forehead skin, which used to be so dry it would crack. I'm truly grateful! If there's a body product in this line, I'd love to purchase it!
ConsThe ointment-like texture and scent might be polarizing. I'm used to it because I regularly apply steroid ointments, but those who aren't might find the fragrance disappointing.
TipFor those struggling with atopic dermatitis, I highly recommend combining the GD Houttuynia Cordata essence with this product. It's a great combination!

ConsFragrance: Despite my sensitivity to scents, this one is overwhelmingly strong, causing headaches and smelling like ointment. The texture also resembles an ointment, making me question if I'm applying cream or medication. Application: It turns white when applied, like an ointment. As I have dry skin and need to apply generously, I was surprised by the sudden whitening effect. It requires extensive rubbing to absorb. Stinging sensation: I experienced significant burning and stinging, especially on areas with existing dryness-induced dermatitis and eye allergy symptoms. Moisturization: Despite being marketed as a moisturizer, it provides no hydration. As mentioned, it turns white, and just as it's about to absorb, it becomes extremely drying. Due to the stinging and lack of moisture, I gave up using it after two days. As someone with dry, sensitive skin, proper hydration is crucial to prevent blemishes and dermatitis. After using this product, my existing dermatitis worsened and became redder.
TipI strongly advise against purchasing this product. There are far too many aspects that need improvement.

I expected this to cost over $40 given the volume, packaging, and ingredients, but it's only in the $30 range! 2. The ingredients are top-notch. Mostly 'green' components, so you can worry less about blemishes. 3. A generous 80ml size - plenty to work with! 4. Unexpected bonus: it comes with a spatula! It cleverly attaches to a protruding part of the container and stays secure when you close the lid. 5. Although it's a cream for combination to dry skin, it doesn't feel overly rich. It leaves a perfect moisturizing layer without feeling heavy. The hydration is excellent. At first, I was concerned it might cause pilling, but thankfully it absorbs well and doesn't interfere with makeup! 6. If you massage away any initial white cast, your skin becomes wonderfully hydrated, relieving dryness and leaving it soft and supple.
Cons1. While I appreciate the focus on good ingredients, the initial application is startlingly white - like a mineral sunscreen with titanium dioxide. It does absorb completely with massage, but it was quite a surprise for someone like me who likes to apply cream generously. 2. The scent is a bit off-putting. It smells like lip balm... not very pleasant.
TipTexture: Like whipped cream. For best results, use the spatula to scoop out the product, warm it between your hands, then massage it into your face. This helps it absorb well and eliminates any white cast. Massaging is key for optimal absorption!
