Unlike typical watery toners, this one has a slight viscosity that provided excellent hydration during the winter months. While its viscosity offers good moisturizing properties, making it ideal for winter use, it might be a bit heavy for summer. However, if you have extremely dry skin, you'll likely find it suitable year-round! The toner's texture strikes a balance between lightweight and rich, offering versatile hydration. It's particularly beneficial for those battling deep dryness or combination dehydrated skin. For those with super sensitive skin, it's worth noting that the slightly thicker consistency may help create a protective barrier. Remember, finding the right balance for your skin's oil and moisture needs is key to achieving that coveted inner glow. - yi****Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 10, 2025
It's moisturizing but has a slight sticky feel. Seems great for those with dry or sensitive skin. Due to its slight stickiness, people who prefer a fresh feel might find it a bit heavy. - ma********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessMay 1, 2025
I bought this because I remember using Avène products comfortably in the past At some point, after applying my skincare products, my face started showing redness and I felt dryness - se********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 10, 2025
Highly recommended for sensitive, dry, and thin skin. Perfect for those who find skincare routines bothersome. The slightly viscous texture might feel heavy for oily skin types, and absorption can be a bit slow. Those with super sensitive skin or contact dermatitis like myself should avoid it. As it's a bit slow to absorb, I find that with Avène products in general, it's best to take your time and gently pat it in, layering multiple times for optimal results. - th*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 29, 2025
There's absolutely nothing positive to say. I wish I could turn back time to before I applied this. After using this, my previously flawless skin became covered in folliculitis. It's so severe it's like a genuine skin condition. Are we sure this is even safe to apply to the face? - 62******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 11, 2025
As my skin seemed to be getting drier, I initially bought a small size at Olive Young based on their recommendation. Unlike other toners, despite being liquid, it has a rich texture that seems to effectively combat deep dryness. Now I'm on my third large bottle, and it's become my holy grail product - I haven't had a single blemish outbreak! I'm on my third large bottle and there's absolutely nothing negative to say about it. After cleansing, I spray on a mist and then layer this product twice. When my skin feels particularly dehydrated, I soak a thin cotton pad with it and use it as a mask. Following up with the rest of my skincare routine eliminates any feeling of tightness. - 2h****Dry SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedFeb 20, 2025
I've been using this for over a year since 2023. As someone with dry skin, I can confidently say this is one of the most hydrating toners out there. Unlike other toners, you can really feel the moisturizing effect on your skin. The downside is that the container lid tends to leak, so you have to wipe it clean every time you use it. - re***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 9, 2025
The consistency is just right, making it easy to layer. It works well as both an exfoliating toner and a clay mask. It's gentle on the skin and didn't cause any blemishes. The only downside is that the price feels a bit steep for how quickly it gets used up. - cj********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 5, 2024
For combination dehydrated skin/sensitive/redness-prone skin: Scent - Subtle floral fragrance (same as Gentle Toning) Texture - Runny consistency (slightly viscous) Application - Very moisturizing. Even as an exfoliating toner, it's gentle. Not a lightweight formula for a toner! Overall - Effective for deep dryness. Definitely provides hydration. Recommended more for dry skin than combination dehydrated or oily skin. The oil and moisture balance might not suit everyone, potentially causing small bumps. My usually bump-free skin developed some, likely due to the rich moisturizer I'm already using. It's not that it doesn't suit my skin, but it's a bit heavy for combination dehydrated skin. Planning to use it only as a mask from now on. Nothing specific... The toner itself is great, but it doesn't seem to pair well with my moisturizer. Not recommended for oily skin types. If you have combination dehydrated skin, test it first before regular use. Doesn't work well with creams targeting deep dryness. Should be suitable for those with dry skin. - in*****Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedSep 20, 2024
As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I've gone through several bottles of this. It provides better hydration than the Yu*** toner. The absorption is slow, so you need to wait between layers when applying. The scent might be hit or miss for some people.
