It's a cream-type product. Personally, I prefer hair products with a subtle, fresh scent rather than overpowering fragrances. The Mucota Aire Treatment isn't strongly scented. If I had to nitpick, there's a very faint alcohol smell. On the plus side, after using it and drying my hair, I noticed my hair color seemed more vibrant. The main drawback is that it's not great value for money. It's expensive, but I don't think it delivers results that justify the price. In my opinion, there are many other products at this price point that offer better bang for your buck. So, I'm afraid I can't really recommend it. To use, shampoo your hair first, then gently towel-dry to remove excess water. Apply the treatment to your hair, avoiding the roots. Spread it evenly through your lengths and ends, then leave it on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. Personally, I leave it on longer than the recommended 2-3 minutes, as that feels too short for me. - ja*****Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 16, 2023
Even on dry hair, if you wait after applying it, it fills in the moisture, making it easier to brush through. The ingredients are a bit disappointing, and it's on the pricier side, so I'm using it sparingly. Rather than having a dramatic effect, it feels more like it's nourishing the hair. If you have time, waiting longer before rinsing makes your hair feel silky smooth, almost like seaweed. - ak*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticitySep 7, 2021
I received this as a gift and used it, but I couldn't find any significant advantages compared to other treatments. It's just... similar to the effects of other treatments? The improvement in hair texture is so-so, and the static prevention is also mediocre. There aren't really any major drawbacks to mention. However, I wouldn't buy it at this price point because it doesn't offer any substantial differences from other treatments. - so******Combination SkinRecommendedAug 11, 2021
Hair masks all seem pretty similar. It's not significantly better than others. It doesn't dramatically improve hair texture. You need to leave it on for a while to feel some softness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 11, 2021
The effectiveness is fantastic, and as someone who tends to react sensitively to silicone, I appreciate that this product doesn't contain dimethicone like many others do. That's why I keep using it (my skin tends to be sensitive to dimethicone in treatments). The price... and the fact that it's a Japanese product are the downsides. I haven't found a suitable alternative yet, so I stock up on it when it's on sale. - mi*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 24, 2021
As someone with dyed hair, I'm always conscious about my hair's condition. Since hair is made of dead cells, unlike skin, it doesn't have issues with product compatibility. So, I'm open to trying various brands. I remember getting a treatment at a salon using Mucota products, and it was amazing. Since then, I've been buying and using it whenever I think of it! The texture is quite rich, but after using this treatment, my hair doesn't feel weighed down. When I touch it, there's no oily residue. The product itself seems to have a great oil and moisture balance. With consistent use, I've noticed my hair that used to be flyaway due to poor condition now feels heavier, if that makes sense? It definitely feels stronger. While the product itself is undoubtedly good, I'm not sure if it's significantly superior to other products when considering the price-to-quantity ratio. Also, it's important to be careful not to let it touch the scalp, as it can potentially cause hair loss or discoloration. - on******Normal SkinSensitive SkinJan 2, 2021
I tried a sample and found the scent quite pleasant. You can simply apply it to your hair like an emulsion. I was considering buying it, but I'm disappointed with the ingredients. There isn't much difference in hair texture compared to using a regular treatment. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 8, 2020
It has a rich, substantial texture. Excellent for damaged hair! The price is a bit steep. The quantity is somewhat disappointing. Looking forward to the next season's release! - qw******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsAug 25, 2020
Hair feels softer after use. Contains protein ingredients. After drying, hair doesn't retain the same softness as when wet. The ingredients could be better. The price is wickedly high. - ys*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 27, 2020
This is my go-to treatment. I use it like first aid when my hair feels like it's in crisis. The biggest advantage is that it works quickly, even with short application times. The product runs out quickly as you use it. Even if you try to conserve it by alternating with other products, it's unavoidable.
