My skin is combination dehydrated and acne-prone. It's quite sensitive, so I often experienced itching and blemishes when switching between creams and emulsions that didn't suit my skin. However, with this product, I didn't experience any blemishes, itching, or redness, which was great. The absorption can be a bit tricky when applied alone, but it's fine when mixed with other lighter-textured products. The hydration level is pretty good too. My skin usually gets very dry with oil buildup, but I was satisfied to find my skin still moisturized the next morning after application. The ingredients didn't cause any issues either. Despite my sensitive skin, I felt confident using this product. There's a slightly sticky feeling when applied. Also, it's a bit on the pricey side, which is disappointing. Nevertheless, I'm considering repurchasing. The product description suggests using it with a serum! I found it works well with both serum and toner, making it easier to apply on my face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 24, 2020
The hydration when applied was truly wonderful! It didn't irritate my skin at all, so I could use it without any worries. The rich feeling wasn't too overwhelming either. It didn't seem to retain moisture as long as I had hoped. And the amount you get is a bit on the small side, to be honest. - jc*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 29, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. First off, I have extremely sensitive skin prone to small blemishes. After using this product, I noticed my skin became a bit more hydrated, and it seemed to have some moisturizing effects. I applied a thin layer before bed. I initially tried this product for its moisturizing properties and to see if it would have any effects. However, I didn't notice any significant improvements. Instead, I actually experienced more small blemishes. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. I would only recommend this for those with normal skin types. - wn*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 2, 2020
[The Hwahae Testers review] I'm writing this review after using the product for about 2-3 months since winning the event! My skin type is sensitive and dry! Due to its sensitivity, I pay close attention to ingredients when using products. This product didn't make my skin worse when I used it! 1. Absorption Given that this product is meant to be mixed with serum, it feels quite rich when applied to the back of your hand before mixing. When mixed with serum and applied, it becomes smooth like an emulsion, spreads well on the skin, and absorbs well! 2. Absorption power As mentioned above, it absorbs very well. Usually, when I apply cream, my makeup tends to pill, but this one doesn't pill at all and adheres well to the skin! 3. Finish Since it absorbs well into the skin, it gives an emulsion-like feel, which I liked. I usually apply toner, serum, and emulsion in that order because I have dry skin, and I always make sure to apply emulsion. Even when I mix this product with serum and apply emulsion on top, it's not heavy, and my makeup doesn't pill, which shows how great the finish is! I mentioned I have dry skin, but to be more specific, I have sensitive + extremely dry skin. It's especially bad in winter. This product is a cream-type with no moisture content at all, so when used alone, it lacks hydration. You absolutely must use it with a hydrating product! For those who need extra hydration, try using it with a hydrating serum! This product can fill in the gaps that your serum might be missing! - mi*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 15, 2020
I tried this after winning a Hwahae event. The ingredients are great and it's gentle, making it pleasant to use. I highly recommend it. I have dry and sensitive skin, and when I mix it with a hydrating cream, it becomes a really useful product. There's not really anything to complain about. It might be better suited for those with dry skin rather than oily skin types. It's great to mix with lightweight, hydrating formulas. When I apply it before bed, I wake up with moisturized skin. - dn*******Combination SkinAcne SkinMar 31, 2020
First off, it has that typical dermatological ointment scent. The absorption is excellent, and it's not irritating at all. After applying, my skin didn't have any adverse reactions. However, I'm not really sure about the effectiveness of this cream. It's marketed as a DIY cream concept, suggesting you mix it with other skincare products, but honestly, that's a bit of a hassle. Using it alone leaves my skin feeling too dry due to lack of hydration (and I don't even have dry skin). Mixing it with an essence helps a bit, but I can't help wondering if it's really worth all this effort. I think it would have been so much better if they had just formulated it with more hydration to begin with. Try mixing it with a hydrating essence! That helps to lock in some moisture. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 24, 2020
Review from The Hwahae Testers As a first-time user, I was unsure if this would suit my skin, but it surprisingly worked well for me. Personally, I don't find the scent too overwhelming. It absorbs well into the skin, leaving a moisturized feeling. While it gets absorbed quickly, the hydrating effect seems to last for a long time. It does leave a slightly greasy feeling on the skin. After application, there's a sense that some product remains on the surface. - sk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 24, 2020
This product has a nice consistency. It absorbs well and isn't too sticky. I appreciated how gentle it was on my super sensitive skin, without causing any irritation. I also used this alongside an ampoule-type essence, and the combination worked wonderfully! While it's hard to find fault with this product, if I had to nitpick, I'd say that the effects seemed to appear rather slowly for me. Of course, this might vary from person to person. It works great when mixed with a liquid-type ampoule or essence! - ji*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 22, 2020
I was lucky enough to be selected by The Hwahae Testers to try this product. Although it's a blending cream, I wanted to test it on its own without mixing it with other products. My skin type is combination dehydrated, super sensitive, and prone to blemishes. Due to my job, I often work night shifts, which makes my skin even more susceptible to breakouts. I have severe deep dryness, but this cream really helped address that issue. I've tried the Dokdo Emulsion before, but I found that the Laneige Blending Cream was more effective in tackling my deep dryness. Personally, I felt like it improved my skin texture (it seemed to make my pores appear smaller?). As for the scent, it wasn't particularly bothersome, so I didn't mind it at all. Due to the shea butter ingredient, those with oily skin might experience acne breakouts. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, I noticed that applying too much of the product could quickly lead to pimples. Other than that, I didn't find any major drawbacks. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 19, 2020
As someone with combination skin that's always lacked deep hydration, using this blending cream and serum together after my toner has really helped eliminate that deep dryness! There's hardly any scent, so it's perfect for those who dislike artificial fragrances! Well... I found the packaging a bit flimsy. I accidentally stepped on it while using it, and although it didn't burst, I feel like it would have if I'd stepped on it just a bit harder. Of course, this might not be an issue unless you're as rough with your products as I am! I think it's best to choose a serum that suits your skin! I applied a generous amount at night rather than in the morning, and my skin felt amazing the next day.
