Personally, I think this is the best lip balm out there. When applied, it's incredibly moisturizing, has a slightly cool scent, and comes in a generous amount... It's fantastic! I've probably gone through about 10 tubes, and I've been consistently satisfied. I haven't personally experienced any disappointments with this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2021
My lips get so dry that I need to apply lip balm even in summer, but this product keeps them moisturized and significantly reduces dead skin cells, which I love. The cool, refreshing scent is an added bonus. There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, it's a jar-type product that you have to apply directly with your fingers. In these COVID times, it's best used at home, which somewhat limits its portability. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinDec 6, 2020
I picked up a random lip balm at Olive Young, not realizing it was a limited edition. There's a slight tingling sensation when first applied, but that fades with continued use - maybe I've just gotten used to it from applying so much. It has a cool, menthol-like scent, but it's not overpowering. Even a small amount leaves my lips feeling hydrated. I've used it enough to see the bottom of the container, but I still can't find many faults with it. If I had to nitpick, I suppose the ingredients aren't the best? But that hasn't caused any issues for me personally. Since it's in a pot, it can collect some dust, so you should probably wash your hands before applying. The area where the lid meets the container also tends to gather dust, which is a bit disappointing. Sometimes I wonder if I've applied too much before bed because I wake up with a lot of dead skin cells on my lips. I do this daily, so it's less noticeable now, but if I skip a day, there's still quite a bit of flaking. It seems like a good way to manage dead skin cells. I'd buy this again, but next time I might try the stick version. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 27, 2020
Everyone, this is my absolute favorite lip balm! You must buy it, I insist! My lips tend to crack and peel, and I have a terrible habit of picking at them until they bleed. But after using this, my lip condition has genuinely improved. I'm not exaggerating; it's truly amazing! When you apply Carmex, you can feel your lips healing. And did you know this effect is incredibly addictive? The scent is just... nice. It's not headache-inducing, not fruity or floral, just pleasant. Given my poor lip condition, my mom and aunt have bought me every famous lip balm out there. I've tried them all - the renowned Bobbi Brown lip balm, Innisfree Sleeping Lip Mask, various pharmacy brands... but this one takes the cake. What's really great is that you see results in just 2-3 minutes after application. It's perfect for emergencies! When I ran out and asked an Olive Young employee for recommendations, they mentioned Carmex was having an anniversary edition with adorable packaging. I'm so grateful to that employee for introducing me to my holy grail lip balm! Even my aunt, who used to swear by Bobbi Brown, switched to Carmex after borrowing mine once! There's nothing to complain about, so it's hard to write more than 20 characters! For an amazing sensation, apply a thick layer before bed, then exfoliate in the morning. You absolutely must try this! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 9, 2020
• Apply generously before bed and it stays on until morning, keeping lips moisturized • More hydrating than other lip balms • Pleasant scent and convenient solid form • Small size makes it easy to carry around No real downsides, it's just great If I had to nitpick, maybe it attracts dust... ? But even that doesn't seem to be an issue Apply a generous amount before going to sleep for deeply moisturized lips - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 14, 2019
I chose the classic version since I found Carmex's cherry scent a bit overwhelming, and I'm now on my third tube! First off, it has a nice cooling effect when applied, which makes me reach for it often. I've always liked that distinctive minty sensation from Hwahae products, and this one isn't too intense, making it a crowd-pleaser that most people can use without any strong opinions. The hydration is pretty good, as expected from Carmex. My lips tend to be very dry, but this works well for daily use. It makes my lips look glossy, but they stay moisturized for about 3 hours. The value for money is excellent... honestly, it's perfect in that regard. You'd be hard-pressed to find a lip balm with this effectiveness at this price point. The case is clean and cute, making it quite portable. Personally, I don't mind the scent, which is like a mix of petroleum jelly and mint, but it might be an acquired taste for some. The hydration isn't quite enough for my very dry lips. When my lips are cracked, this doesn't really help. It keeps them moisturized for about 3 hours. (The photo was taken when my lips were in good condition) It's too glossy to wear outside. It's very shiny, and it causes pilling when applied over tint or lipstick, so it's difficult to use before going out. For those with normal lips, this should work great as a sleeping pack! Apply a thick layer the night before, then use a cotton swab to remove dead skin cells the next morning. You'll wake up with lips in amazing condition! For daily use, apply a thin layer and then use a tissue or cotton swab to remove excess or let it absorb. Then apply your tint or lipstick - this method reduces pilling!
