Personally, I think this is the best lip balm out there. When applied, it's incredibly moisturizing, has a slightly cool scent, and comes in a generous amount... It's fantastic! I've probably gone through about 10 tubes, and I've been consistently satisfied. I haven't personally experienced any disappointments with this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2021
My lips get so dry that I need to apply lip balm even in summer, but this product keeps them moisturized and significantly reduces dead skin cells, which I love. The cool, refreshing scent is an added bonus. There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, it's a jar-type product that you have to apply directly with your fingers. In these COVID times, it's best used at home, which somewhat limits its portability. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinDec 6, 2020
I picked up a random lip balm at Olive Young, not realizing it was a limited edition. There's a slight tingling sensation when first applied, but that fades with continued use - maybe I've just gotten used to it from applying so much. It has a cool, menthol-like scent, but it's not overpowering. Even a small amount leaves my lips feeling hydrated. I've used it enough to see the bottom of the container, but I still can't find many faults with it. If I had to nitpick, I suppose the ingredients aren't the best? But that hasn't caused any issues for me personally. Since it's in a pot, it can collect some dust, so you should probably wash your hands before applying. The area where the lid meets the container also tends to gather dust, which is a bit disappointing. Sometimes I wonder if I've applied too much before bed because I wake up with a lot of dead skin cells on my lips. I do this daily, so it's less noticeable now, but if I skip a day, there's still quite a bit of flaking. It seems like a good way to manage dead skin cells. I'd buy this again, but next time I might try the stick version. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 14, 2020
I absolutely love this product! It's amazing. I usually apply it before bed, and my lips stay moisturized and soft until the next day. I've tried both the tube and stick versions, but this one is by far my favorite. Compared to the stick or tube versions, it's a bit more cumbersome to apply. If you slather it generously on your lips before going to sleep, you'll wake up with baby-soft lips the next morning! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 1, 2020
Hydration - The moisturizing power is superior to other lip balms! It's really great to apply frequently during winter. When I use this, my lips feel moist and smooth, so I find myself applying it often. The hydration is so good that even after trying other lip balm products, I always come back to Carmex. Dead skin cell care - My lips used to have a lot of dead skin, which I'd pick at, causing bleeding. But after buying Carmex lip balm, the dead skin was gone in just a week! If you want to focus on dead skin cell care, I recommend buying the jar or tube type rather than the stick. For everyday moisture, the stick type is great. Quantity - I use it generously with a cotton swab for dead skin cell care, and the amount lasts for months. It's a beast of a quantity! I use about 2-3 containers a year. Portability - Its small size makes it perfect to keep in your pocket or pouch and apply when your lips start feeling dry. I bought a limited edition collaboration product, and I love looking at the cute case while applying it frequently when my lips feel dry. It's small and portable, but I'm a bit clumsy and lost it once! Cooling effect - There's a slight mint scent, and when applied to the lips, it gives a cool sensation. Some people find it a bit strong, but personally, I like mint-flavored things like toothpaste and ice cream, so I enjoy using it. The cooling effect is just my style! Melts easily - It has a thick texture, but if you keep it in a warm place like your pocket, it melts and becomes runny, making it difficult to use... I recommend storing it in a cool place for better use. If you take good care of your lips, you can confidently rock even matte lipsticks! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 24, 2020
At first, I felt a tingling sensation and wondered what was going on, but the more I used it, the more I became addicted to that feeling! I've tried many lip balms, but this one might be the best. First of all, the lip balm lasts for a long time after application! It keeps my lips moisturized for hours, and when I apply it before bed, I wake up with dead skin cells that easily peel off in the morning. I prefer the classic type over the tube type - it's more my style. There's not really anything to complain about, except maybe that dust can collect on it since it's not in a tube? If you want to avoid dust, you could use the tube type, but it doesn't give quite the same tingling sensation as the classic type. So I use the classic type, dust and all! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 14, 2020
It works wonders when applied to dry lips. Slather it on generously in winter, and your lips stay moisturized even in the cold. Even after trying other lip balms, I find myself reaching for Carmex again and again. It feels like it sits on top of the lips rather than absorbing. It's not ideal to use before applying lipstick as it can alter the color. The scent might also be hit or miss for some people. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 10, 2020
Highly recommended for nighttime lip care to treat dead skin cells. After a day of wearing tints and other lip products that dry out my lips, I always make sure to apply lip balm before bed. I've tried many lip balms, but Carmex is the only one that leaves my lips moisturized without feeling greasy, and it effectively removes flaky skin. This is my holy grail product. Well, I'd like to try something else, but the amount you get is surprisingly generous. Honestly, I'm so satisfied with it that I don't have any major complaints. Apply a thick layer at night before going to bed. During the day, a thin layer works well without feeling too rich. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 9, 2020
• Apply generously before bed and it stays on until morning, keeping lips moisturized • More hydrating than other lip balms • Pleasant scent and convenient solid form • Small size makes it easy to carry around No real downsides, it's just great If I had to nitpick, maybe it attracts dust... ? But even that doesn't seem to be an issue Apply a generous amount before going to sleep for deeply moisturized lips - Hwahae UserNormal SkinDec 28, 2019
Honestly, this is a holy grail lip balm, no doubt. I can't live without Carmex now. I won't use anything else. I tried my friend's and fell in love, so I bought it. The price is affordable too, it's a total steal! If you apply this before bed, your lips stay moisturized all day long. The cooling sensation is amazing, it feels so refreshing. It doesn't look greasy, so it's perfect for daytime use too. There are no real downsides... Though people who dislike the cooling sensation might not enjoy it. The only minor issue is that dust can stick to the jar version. But that's easily solved by using the tube or stick versions!
