My own purchase Overall review: It seems less effective than stick lip balms. Given the post-COVID era, I'm a bit concerned about hygiene when applying it with fingers. So I either apply it generously before bed at home or use a spatula to scoop out a bit and gently pat it on. Going forward, I'll still be hesitant to use pot-style lip balms due to hygiene concerns. As famous as it is, it's quite effective - it does help remove dead skin cells by the next morning. However, I'm not a fan of the intense tingling sensation. It has a strong menthol or mint feel, making it quite a stimulating and potent lip balm. The tingling sensation is too strong, and the scent is very intense. Due to the pot format being somewhat unhygienic, I only use it at home. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 4, 2020
My lips often get dry, and I have both dead skin cells and wrinkles, so I absolutely need to take care of them. I always have to carry lip balm with me, whether I'm out or at home! For outdoor use, I prefer lip balms that aren't greasy, tame dead skin cells, and provide good hydration. For home use, as long as it softens dead skin cells and moisturizes, I'm okay with it! 📌 Great value for money I tried this product when it was on sale, and the amount you get for the price is generous. As I mentioned, I always have lip balm with me, so I go through it quickly, but this one lasted a really long time. 📌 Softens dead skin cells Rather than just taming dead skin cells, it actually softens them. If I apply it to my lips for a short while before putting on makeup, I can easily wipe away the dead skin with a cotton swab. 📌 Cooling effect It has a mild menthol sensation along with a refreshing cooling effect. The tingling and cooling sensations are less intense than 'Blistex' lip balm, making it suitable for use in both winter and summer. (Personally, I found Carmex worked better for me than Blistex) 📌 Minimal stickiness While it does have a slight sheen, it doesn't feel sticky. It contains quite a few potential allergens. I sometimes get little bumps around the corners of my mouth, which could be due to the lip balm... It's disappointing that the ingredients aren't particularly good. The scent is not great. It's like a mix of mentholated ointment and butter... Anyway, the fragrance is so strong that people around you can tell you've applied lip balm - I'm not a fan of that at all! Also, rather than absorbing, it feels like it just sits on top of your lips. If you try to apply lip makeup over this balm, it just floats on top... For home use, it's an okay lip balm with a decent amount of product, but I've never found it particularly impressive. In summary, it's just a lip balm that's good for softening dead skin cells and frequent application at home, nothing special!
