I already adore this lip balm, but the packaging is so adorable that I bought it as a collector's item too! The jar format always seems to pose a hygiene issue. I'm constantly worried about repeatedly dipping my fingers in and out. - hu***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJan 18, 2022
This lip balm is all you need to banish dry lip worries. It effectively softens dead skin cells on the lips. Apply it before bed, and wake up to smooth, supple lips in the morning. Among all the lip balms I own, this is the only one that maintains hydration until the next day. (I've previously used Laneige, Primera, and Second Design.) I have sensitive lips, but I finished a whole jar without any blemishes and repurchased it. It's on sale at Aritaum, cheaper than Olive Young! According to Pihyunjung's blog, among Carmex lip balms, the jar type has the best ingredients. Highly recommended for those with dry and super sensitive skin. The jar format can be a bit inconvenient to apply. I'm using a small spatula that comes with face creams to scoop and apply it. - da*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedDec 16, 2021
I finally bought this after hearing so much buzz, and it's truly the best lip balm I've tried. It keeps my lips moisturized until morning without feeling greasy or heavy. Love it! The product itself is really great, but I'm quite disappointed with the ingredients list. - na**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 30, 2021
I've tried pretty much every lip balm out there, but this one takes the crown. Even with my sensitive skin prone to allergic reactions, there's no tingling sensation at all. I switched to this after using Innisfree for a long time, and I'm really satisfied. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. While the pot packaging can be a bit inconvenient, I still prefer this over stick-type balms. - gp*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 6, 2021
The container is sturdy! The lip balm is rich and effective. The lip balm itself is great, except for the inconvenience of having to apply it with your fingers. - 77*****Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 5, 2021
I've bought the entire Carmex lip balm series, and they work really well for me. They're not overly sticky or greasy. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing about it. It was a pleasant, easy-to-use product! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 10, 2021
Personally, I think this is the best lip balm out there. When applied, it's incredibly moisturizing, has a slightly cool scent, and comes in a generous amount... It's fantastic! I've probably gone through about 10 tubes, and I've been consistently satisfied. I haven't personally experienced any disappointments with this product. - 1q**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 24, 2021
I love that it comes in a jar, so I can scoop out just the right amount I need! The hydration is great too. The downside of it being in a jar is that it tends to collect a lot of dust, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2021
My lips get so dry that I need to apply lip balm even in summer, but this product keeps them moisturized and significantly reduces dead skin cells, which I love. The cool, refreshing scent is an added bonus. There's not really anything to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, it's a jar-type product that you have to apply directly with your fingers. In these COVID times, it's best used at home, which somewhat limits its portability. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 6, 2020
I picked up a random lip balm at Olive Young, not realizing it was a limited edition. There's a slight tingling sensation when first applied, but that fades with continued use - maybe I've just gotten used to it from applying so much. It has a cool, menthol-like scent, but it's not overpowering. Even a small amount leaves my lips feeling hydrated. I've used it enough to see the bottom of the container, but I still can't find many faults with it. If I had to nitpick, I suppose the ingredients aren't the best? But that hasn't caused any issues for me personally. Since it's in a pot, it can collect some dust, so you should probably wash your hands before applying. The area where the lid meets the container also tends to gather dust, which is a bit disappointing. Sometimes I wonder if I've applied too much before bed because I wake up with a lot of dead skin cells on my lips. I do this daily, so it's less noticeable now, but if I skip a day, there's still quite a bit of flaking. It seems like a good way to manage dead skin cells. I'd buy this again, but next time I might try the stick version.
