I'm on my fifth bottle of this product, so here's my long-term review. I've used it extensively - with Hiya's special cotton pads for cleansing, with a foam maker for morning cleansing, as a second cleanse, and for removing point makeup. As someone with blemish-prone skin that feels deeply dry, I've given it a thorough trial. While it hasn't miraculously cleared up my blemishes, it's been gentle on my sensitive complexion. However, I found it wasn't quite enough on its own to completely remove foundation - I felt like I needed something more. Since I bought this hoping it would help with my blemishes, I'm pretty disappointed. To be honest, I couldn't really tell the difference between this and other brands of cleansing water. One tip: it works great with the foam maker Hwahae sells. It creates a soft, gentle lather that's nice to use. - qo*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 23, 2025
I've already repurchased this three or four times, and I'll definitely keep using it. I only use lip and cheek makeup, and this removes lip color so well, leaving my skin feeling fresh. Even with just water cleansing and no second cleanse, my skin feels clean and refreshed without any residue. The price is a bit high? But since I don't have many cosmetic products and don't wear makeup often, it seems okay for me. I wish they'd sell it without including cotton pads... I don't like the ones they provide, so it's a hassle and a waste to throw them away. This review highlights the product's effectiveness in makeup removal, especially for lip products. The user appreciates how well it cleanses without the need for a second cleansing step, which is great for those who prefer a simple skincare routine. The price point is mentioned as a potential drawback, but the reviewer justifies it based on their personal makeup habits. The inclusion of unwanted cotton pads is seen as an unnecessary addition, suggesting that the product could be improved by offering an option without them. - a0**********Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 22, 2025
Removes makeup effectively, and the complimentary cotton pads that come with the order are gentle and pleasant to use. There's no residue left behind, making it quite convenient overall. It doesn't particularly stand out compared to other products. Just an average cleansing water, nothing special. This review discusses a cleansing water product. The reviewer appreciates its effective makeup removal and the free cotton pads included, which are gentle on the skin. They note that it doesn't leave any residue. However, they also mention that it's not significantly better than other products, describing it as a standard cleansing water. - ji********RecommendedJun 12, 2025
This is my holy grail cleansing water. It removes makeup and benefits my skin? On those lazy days when I can't be bothered to do anything, I just use this cleansing water to remove my makeup, then go over my face again with a fresh cotton pad soaked in the product before heading to bed. Surprisingly, my skin stays in great condition. I don't even break out. I honestly don't know how I lived without this. The only slight inconvenience is that it works best with the special cotton pads sold by Hiya, which means you have to buy those too. But using it with those pads gives the best results, so I end up purchasing them anyway. The translation emphasizes the product's effectiveness as a makeup remover and skincare item, highlighting its convenience for lazy days. It also mentions the unexpected benefit of not causing blemishes. The negative aspect focuses on the need to buy specific cotton pads for optimal results, presenting it as a minor inconvenience rather than a major drawback. - a0**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 25, 2025
It removes makeup effectively and clears away excess sebum. The best part is how little dryness I feel after using it..! First off, it's quite pricey, and for that price, you don't get much product.. I wish they'd increase the amount.. It works great when used with a foam maker..! And wow, the cotton pads are really fantastic..! - us*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRednessRecommendedMay 10, 2025
I switched to this after Bioderma's cleansing water suddenly stopped working for me. It's gentle with moderate to high cleansing effectiveness. Great for travel when you can't rinse with water - just cleanse and you're done. It leaves skin feeling quite hydrated. This brand pairs wonderfully with their cotton pads. I have sensitive skin, so I usually put cleansing waters in a foam dispenser, but these cotton pads are so gentle when soaked that I can use them directly sometimes. They really do 'slide' across your face as the name suggests. Still, I default to using it in a foam dispenser, which works well even without cotton pads. You don't need to use their specific container either - I use one I bought from Olive Young. It stings like crazy if it gets in your eyes, and it's quite pricey. It's famous for its cleansing power, but is it really that good? It doesn't feel like it's thoroughly removing sebum - the experience is more gentle and mild. I've seen people say it reduced their redness, but that wasn't the case for me. I guess results vary, but for me it's just an okay cleansing water... I asked if it's suitable for sensitive skin due to the exfoliating ingredients, and they said the amount is so minimal that it shouldn't be an issue. If you're using it with a foam dispenser, they recommend cleansing twice - so wipe your face two times in total. Use as needed while checking for any residue on your skin. - 2t******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2025
I've been exclusively using this lately! Since I don't wear much makeup these days, I simply use this cleanser with a foaming dispenser. It effectively removes oil and I've noticed fewer blemishes on my face. There's no deep dryness after cleansing either. That's why I'll probably keep using it. However, the price is so high that I hesitate to purchase it... While it makes sense to buy something if it's good, using it long-term can be a burden at 20,000-15,000 won even when bought on sale or in bulk (as the price decreases the more you buy). And when used with a foaming dispenser, it runs out faster than expected! It's expensive at around 25,000 won... It's really good, but... This isn't really my tip, but it's great for removing makeup when used with the cotton pads that come with it! Also, if you wet a cotton pad, squeeze it out, apply the cleanser, and use it that way, it feels incredibly gentle on the skin! - oo****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 17, 2025
The texture is light and pleasant. I've repurchased and used over 10 bottles. It's a bit disappointing that you need to buy a foam dispenser separately, but I still recommend it. - ls**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 13, 2025
It's a permanent fixture on my vanity! After a night out, when I'm too lazy for a full cleanse, I discovered this no-wash cleansing water, and I'm in love. Just soak a cotton pad and swipe - it seems to remove almost everything! I haven't tried it on mascara recently, so I can't vouch for that. There's a slight tingling when cleansing around the eyes, but it's tolerable. The best part? Even when I'm too tired for my skincare routine and just use this before bed, my skin feels fine the next day - no deep dryness, and it even has a glow! As a cleansing oil devotee trying cleansing water for the first time, I'll keep using this as long as it doesn't cause any blemishes. It would be great if it came in a pump bottle. And a larger size would be amazing! I'm very satisfied! It would be even better if it came in a larger size and with a pump dispenser. One soaked cotton pad is enough to cleanse thoroughly! Next time I'll try using two pads for an even more thorough cleanse. - hu********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 26, 2025
It's moisturizing and doesn't cause any blemishes or irritation. There's a bit of eye sensitivity though. There's some eye sensitivity, but you seem to get used to it as you continue using it.
