As someone with a darker complexion, this brightening moisturizer evens my skin tone very naturally I was hoping it might have some sun protection, which is a bit disappointing. But on the flip side, I can use it at night too, so I'm not sure if I can really call that a drawback - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 11, 2023
It's great that you can apply it easily on bare skin. When used after skincare, even a small amount is effective. I like how it brightens the complexion without feeling heavy. Since it's applied after skincare products, you need to take time to pat or massage it in thoroughly to prevent pilling. It's slightly inconvenient that you still need to apply sunscreen separately. For a nice no-makeup look, try layering thin layers of skincare, followed by this brightening moisturizer, and then sunscreen on top. Just remember, as it's simply a tone-up cream, it naturally doesn't provide coverage. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 31, 2023
This is the first brightening moisturizer I've ever purchased, so I did a ton of research comparing different products before buying this one. 1. Subtle tone-up on bare skin. It really just elevates your complexion by one shade. This could be seen as either a pro or a con, depending on your preference. 2. Smooth application that absorbs well. 3. High-quality ingredients. 1. Skin texture refinement and hydration are essential beforehand. When applied over a basic skincare routine, it can emphasize pores and dead skin cells. 2. The tone-up effect is minimal on naturally fair skin. 3. It feels similar to applying a mineral sunscreen with a white cast. The absorption is also quite slow when applying. If you have good skin, use this for a tone-up effect. But if you have issues with dead skin cells and pores like me, make sure to refine your skin texture first! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 15, 2023
The brightening effect was significant. My skin became noticeably fairer. I appreciate that the ingredients are gentle on the skin. Not recommended for dry skin. It feels as dry as if you've applied mineral sunscreen. No sense of hydration or richness. When you apply this, your skin feels tight, so you need to layer on a multi-balm afterwards. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 12, 2022
Provides a natural brightening effect while offering sun protection, eliminating the need for a separate sunscreen. The gentle ingredients are a big plus. The initial application feels a bit thick and dry, so I wouldn't recommend using it alone. When mixed with a moisturizer, it gives a subtle glow and eliminates the thick feeling, allowing for smooth application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 8, 2022
I love how it naturally brightens my complexion and the ingredients are great, making it perfect for everyday use. It's gentle on my skin, so I've been using it regularly without any issues! The brightening effect doesn't last very long, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 15, 2022
It seems to work well for brightening. Those who are skilled at makeup will likely find it great for achieving a radiant complexion. Did I misunderstand its purpose when I bought it? I purchased it hoping to get both whitening effects and use it generously like a moisturizer, but when I applied it liberally, I ended up looking like a clown... - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 15, 2022
I like how it subtly evens skin tone and has decent absorption. It's a bit disappointing that it leaves a white cast if you apply it over too many skincare layers. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 27, 2021
It seems to brighten the skin and have good staying power. It lasts much longer than I expected. First off, those with dry skin should be very cautious. As someone with super sensitive skin, sometimes it's fine, but other times it feels like my skin is reacting negatively. I'm not sure if it's really suitable for me. Make sure to apply a hydrating moisturizer before using this. If your skin is dry, it can cause pilling and flake off like dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 13, 2021
(I have extremely oily skin with dehydration, and get cystic acne about once a month) 📍Brightening effect: It's more than sufficient. Like mineral sunscreens, it can make you look pale if you apply too much, so use just a small amount! At first, it might look a bit white, but after a while, it blends with your skin's natural oils to create a really natural brightening effect! 📍Texture: I think this brightening moisturizer is perfect for oily skin types. It feels a bit tight right after application, but you know how us oily-skinned folks start getting shiny after a short while?•ㅠ•,, Well, when that oil meets this product, the tightness reduces significantly. So among brightening moisturizers, this seems to be the least greasy and most suitable for oily skin. 📍Value for money, Amount: As mentioned above, you only need to apply a small amount for a natural brightening effect. So if you use the right amount, it should last quite a while. 📍Hygiene: It has a round opening like sunscreen tubes, so you can squeeze it out, making it hygienic to use! 📍Coverage (if I had to nitpick): Since it's not meant to be a foundation or concealer, you can't expect much coverage. It doesn't hide my acne scars completely. 📍Ease of removal: While it's not meant to be a sunscreen substitute, it does contain mineral UV filters. So it's not the easiest to wash off! (I'm the type with extremely oily skin who always gets at least one cystic pimple if I don't put my all into cleansing these kinds of products) From that perspective, this product isn't exactly easy to remove. There's some residue left after the first cleanse with a gentle cleanser, so I massage with Dr. Bronner's cleanser, which contains oil, for my first cleanse. That seems to remove almost all the residue. You can achieve a natural brightening effect with just a small amount, everyone! Don't apply too much or you'll end up looking too pale..
