I'm planning to repurchase!
ConsI didn't really notice much of a brightening effect from the vitamin C...
TipIt works great when you soak a cotton pad and leave it on for a while!

The T-zone is oily, while the U-zone gets dry in winter. I sometimes get flaky skin on the tip of my nose in winter. I have very faint acne scars on my cheeks. Otherwise, my skin is quite resilient - it tolerates most skincare products well and doesn't react to food or alcohol. Usage experience: The texture is completely watery, with zero viscosity, making it ideal as an exfoliating toner. However, it did sting a bit when applied. I was using COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner before this, which didn't sting, so I suspect it might be the vitamin content that doesn't agree with my skin rather than the AHA/BHA. Effectiveness: It works! After using this as an exfoliating toner, I noticed less oil in my T-zone in the afternoon after makeup. The winter-induced flakiness on my nose tip disappeared completely. My skin texture also feels smoother. I think my whiteheads between the eyebrows have reduced a bit, but I'd need to use it longer to be sure. However, these effects seem to be from the AHA/BHA content, so you might get similar results with other COSRX AHA/BHA toners. As for the vitamin-induced brightening effect, I didn't notice much, possibly due to the short usage period. I also didn't feel significant hydration, so you might need to layer another toner for moisture.
ConsAs mentioned in the effectiveness section, I didn't notice any brightening effects at all, and the lack of hydration is disappointing.
TipI recommend using this as an exfoliating toner, then following up with multiple layers of a hydrating toner that doesn't have other active ingredients. Personally, I use this once all over, then a second time just on my nose and chin for exfoliation. After that, I apply the Dokdo Toner three times. I finish with a light cream, and my skin doesn't feel dry at all with this routine.

Jjang-a Unnie's Skin Description -> My skin has changed from dry to combination dehydrated, and on particularly sensitive days, I experience small blemishes and increased redness on my cheeks. I've always had some redness on my cheeks, and my skin is typically very dehydrated. On sensitive days, even my usual skincare routine can cause stinging or itching. 2. Toner Usage Method -> I usually prefer using cotton pads when applying toner, and I've been focusing on refining skin texture and dead skin cell care, especially during winter. Twice a week, I exfoliate and apply the toner with my hands on those days. On non-exfoliating days, I use cotton pads. 3. Scent/Texture/Absorption The scent was nearly undetectable, and true to a daily toner, it had a watery consistency similar to an exfoliating toner. As someone who dislikes sticky toners, I prefer watery formulas, and I was satisfied with how quickly this one absorbs. When using the COSRX Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Daily Toner, I didn't experience any burning or tingling sensations. After using it for over a week, I haven't noticed any dramatic changes yet. 4. Ingredients As someone who always prioritizes ingredients when purchasing products, I was pleased to find that the COSRX Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Daily Toner doesn't contain any harmful ingredients, making it a gentle and satisfying choice.
Cons★Areas for Improvement★ 1. The price of 22,000 won feels a bit high for the amount of product. 2. Although it's a daily toner, I didn't see any dramatic brightening effects. 3. It might be too drying for those with dry skin, and it's not ideal for those seeking intense hydration. 4. Despite the good ingredients, the overall effectiveness falls short of expectations, which is disappointing.
TipSince it's winter, I've been focusing on exfoliation and refining skin texture, so I do a lot of masking. About once a week, I use a thin, rectangular cotton pad (like Silcot cotton pads) soaked in toner. I place these on my cheeks, forehead, and chin for about 10 minutes, then gently pat the remaining product into my skin. This helps to some extent in achieving refined and radiant skin.

Hygienic packaging: The narrow, thin opening prevents dust from entering when the lid is open. Ensures long-term sanitary use. Refreshing texture and finish (ideal for oily skin): The water-like consistency is completely non-sticky, perfect for those with oily skin. As you can see in the photo, it has bubbles like carbonation, which seems to contribute to its refreshing effect.
ConsLimited exfoliation and brightening effects: Despite containing AHA, BHA, and Vitamin C for dead skin cell removal and skin brightening, I didn't notice any significant improvements after 3 weeks of use. Not recommended for sensitive skin: As someone with super sensitive skin that reacts quickly to harsh ingredients or expired products, I experienced some irritation and tingling sensations, even though the ingredients are good. Not suitable for dry skin: As someone with extremely dry skin, I found this water-like formula too drying. It lacks the slight viscosity that works well for my skin type. If you have dry skin, you'll likely feel your face tightening quickly after using this exfoliating toner.
TipDon't be stingy - saturate your cotton pad generously when applying. This is especially important if you find it drying. When the pad is completely soaked, almost dripping wet, the absorption after using the exfoliating toner feels less drying.

This product gently wiped away the dead skin cells without any irritation. • Almost fragrance-free ★★★★★ I loved that it's practically scentless - you'd have to bring it very close to your nose to detect any fragrance. • Skin texture improvement ★★★★★ I used it morning and evening, gently wiping with a cotton pad. My skin texture became smoother, and the uneven areas around my nose (butterfly zone) became less noticeable.
Cons• Whitening and anti-wrinkle effects ★ While it's difficult to expect significant whitening and anti-wrinkle benefits from a toner, this product didn't deliver on its claims of skin brightening and tone improvement. • Sebum control ★ The effect on sebum control was also minimal.
TipSince it contains whitening ingredients, the product instructions advise using sunscreen when applying during the day. If you use it in the daytime, be extra diligent with your sun protection.

In contrast, the cheeks, around the mouth, and eye area tend to be dry, occasionally flaking if not properly cared for. I adjust my skincare products seasonally but generally prefer hydrating products with low oil content. I opened the COSRX Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Daily Toner with mixed feelings of excitement and concern, as I hadn't tried their skincare products before, except for the famous pimple pads. First impression: I was pleased with the generous size. As an exfoliating toner, it tends to be used more liberally than absorbing toners, so it's satisfying to know I can use it abundantly without worrying about running out. I was relieved to find it fragrance-free and colorless, as I was concerned it might have a harsh alcohol scent given its focus on exfoliation and brightening. The absence of a strong scent makes me more likely to reach for it regularly. The ingredient list is impressively clean, without feeling like a hodgepodge of random components. It's free from 20 notable caution ingredients and potential allergens, which is reassuring. As someone who frequently changes skincare products and has developed sensitive skin, I prefer mildly acidic and gentle products. This toner's low pH and gentle formulation are very appealing. Its watery consistency, completely free of stickiness, makes it ideal for use as an exfoliating toner. While I didn't notice any particular moisturizing or nourishing effects, I appreciated that I could incorporate it into my existing skincare routine without changes. It seemed to enhance the absorption of my subsequent products, acting somewhat like a skincare booster. I keep it in the bathroom for immediate use after cleansing. Using it to wipe my face after cleansing helps remove any remaining makeup residue or impurities, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and balanced. Although I haven't seen dramatic effects on reducing small bumps or overall skin brightening yet, I haven't experienced any negative reactions or sensitivity either. It seems like a safe, reliable choice for daily use.
ConsThe AHA and BHA effects seem quite subtle... Those expecting significant exfoliation without additional steps might be disappointed. It's probably best avoided by those with dry, very dry, or sensitive skin. Even for combination or oily skin types, additional moisturizing products are necessary, especially in winter. With so many specialized exfoliating toners available, this one's mild exfoliating and brightening effects, coupled with minimal hydration, might not justify its full price. It doesn't feel particularly unique or essential. (I'll revise this if I notice significant changes with continued use.)
TipAfter finishing the pads, clean and sanitize the container. It's convenient to pre-soak cotton pads with the toner for quick use after cleansing. As mentioned earlier, my cheeks and eye area tend to be drier. I use the toner as a 5-minute skin pack on my nose and forehead, but only as an exfoliating toner on my cheeks. I avoid using it around the eyes and mouth.
