I had previously purchased the COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner, and this time I was selected to try the Vitamin C AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner as well. First of all, since it's an AHA/BHA product, it was effective in exfoliating. I don't usually do physical exfoliation, as I've heard it's not good for the skin, but I did see the effects of this product in terms of removing dead skin cells. The cap is also in a pump format, so you don't have to worry about it leaking. I think the product also had a temporary brightening effect, perhaps due to the vitamin content.
ConsHmm, I felt there were quite a few downsides for me. While it did help with smoothing the texture, I personally didn't see a dramatic effect in terms of exfoliation and smoothing. When using it, I would soak a cotton pad and apply it, but I didn't really notice any exceptional results. Also, it felt a bit itchy and irritating for me personally. Is it because I have sensitive skin? It just didn't seem to agree with my skin. Additionally, they recommend applying sunscreen after using this product. For those who don't like layering multiple products, that could be an inconvenience. Personally, I'm not sure if I would repurchase this with my own money.
TipI'd recommend thoroughly soaking a cotton pad with the product and then applying it when using this.

The formulation was a watery, thin texture. So I used it by applying it to a cotton pad and wiping it on. Also, since my skin is sensitive, I only used it in the evenings as it claims to help with exfoliation! If you look at the back of the box where the toner is, there's a note saying to use a sunscreen if you use it in the morning, so please keep that in mind if you plan to use it in the morning!!! The fragrance-free aspect is really nice!! I don't like strong cosmetic fragrances, so this is a great point for me. The feeling when using it is just like applying water to your face?? It's very refreshing and cool, which makes me feel good. And if you gently pat your face after applying, your complexion looks brighter - I really liked that!
ConsSince my skin is sensitive, I felt a slight stinging sensation. ใ ใ Also, since my skin doesn't accumulate a lot of dead skin, I used it every other day but still felt the stinging. ใ ใ
TipFor a watery toner like this, it's good to apply it by pouring it onto a cotton pad or into a mist bottle and spraying it onto your face!

Following the usage instructions and applying extra care to the problem areas, the bothersome flakiness and blackheads have reduced.
ConsWhile the flakiness and blackheads have decreased, I've noticed some breakouts on my cheeks and chin. I'm not sure if it's because the product is different from what I was using before, but I'll keep using it to see if it improves.

I happened to win a Hwahae Trial Reviewer spot, so I wanted to leave a review! Absorption - The toner is not as moisturizing as I expected, but it absorbs cleanly into the skin, so I think it would be good for oily skin types. Those with dry skin may find it a bit drying. Skin Texture - With the dry air lately, my skin has suddenly become flaky and rough, but after using this toner for a week, my skin texture has stabilized. The toner has helped calm my skin that was flaking from dryness.
ConsSince the toner itself is quite drying, I used it with another more moisturizing toner during the winter. I have acne-prone skin, and when I applied the toner, I felt a slight stinging or itching sensation.

My skin type is dry on the U-zone and oily on the T-zone. While my skin type can change depending on the season or my body condition, I tend to pay extra attention to moisturizing during spring, fall, and winter, excluding summer. 1. Excellent moisture content. When I apply my skincare routine, I prefer to layer moisture-rich products and finish with a cream. That's why I prefer toners with abundant moisture, and this product felt moisturizing the moment I applied it with a cotton pad. 2. Fast absorption. Sometimes toners can be overly moisturizing but slow to absorb, but this product absorbed quickly, which I was satisfied with. 3. Larger capacity than expected. Of course, being a water-type cleansing toner, I'll likely use it up quickly, but the larger capacity was a pleasant surprise.
ConsNow, let me share the downsides. 1. Not suitable for sensitive skin. My skin becomes very sensitive and easily reddened in the winter, and after using this product for about two days, my cheeks suddenly became flushed. So I changed from using it twice a day to once every two days. But the redness on my cheeks persisted, and I had to discontinue use. I wonder if the review would have been different if I had used it in the summer. 2. Stings on blemished areas. Of course, any product can sting on blemished areas, but this one was quite painful. 3. Minimal exfoliating effect. Although it contains AHA and BHA, I didn't notice any significant changes visually.
TipI think this would be a good product to use in the summer.
