This conditioner can be used on both the scalp and hair, which was great. 
I have an oily scalp but fine, dry hair, so using essences or conditioners would often make my hair greasy really quickly, which was so stressful! But this product seems perfect for someone like me. 
First of all, the scent is just right - a refreshing peppermint. The cooling sensation is also just right (I even want to buy the shampoo now 🥹). Honestly, I was worried it might make my hair greasy if I used it on my scalp, but it seems to balance the oil and moisture well - my hair doesn't get too oily or dry over time.
It doesn't have a dramatic effect like making my hair as smooth as seaweed, but it does make it pleasantly soft, and there's less static. If I keep using it daily, I feel like my hair will just keep getting better! Using it with the shampoo would probably be even better. 🫶

I like to use a generous amount of both treatments and conditioners, but it was a bit tricky to squeeze out the last bit from the bottle.

Since I regularly use magic on my hair, treatment is an absolute must!! I have a lot of volume and my hair is long, so if I don't use it, I end up looking like Hagrid from the static electricity. But even using this conditioner instead of the treatment, my hair felt soft and smooth.
I know that conditioners, rinses, and treatments are all different, but this conditioner worked just as well as the salon-exclusive treatment I normally use. It was also gentle on my sensitive scalp!!
Many have mentioned the scent a lot, but I don't have any particular aversion to the minty fragrance, so I didn't mind using it at all.

This is a dual-use product for both the scalp and hair. Apply it and let it sit for about 3 minutes before rinsing, and you'll achieve the seaweed-like, smooth hair texture. If you don't want to apply it directly on the scalp, you can just use it on the hair as well.

To give some background on my scalp and hair condition - my scalp is relatively healthy, with no signs of hair loss yet. However, my hair is quite dry and damaged from daily hot air drying. After using the Nioxin Conditioner, my hair feels incredibly soft and smooth, like seaweed. The hair care performance is impressive. However, I'm not sure if it truly improves scalp health, as my hair is still shedding quite a lot. Even after using an anti-hair loss shampoo, the moment I apply this conditioner, the hair loss resumes. Checking the ingredient list, there seem to be quite a few potentially irritating components. The strong menthol fragrance also gives a cooling sensation from the scalp down, which may be a love-it-or-hate-it experience for consumers. But consumers generally prefer fragrance-free products for sensitive scalps.

In terms of volume and packaging, as a convenience-oriented person used to large pump bottles, 300ml felt a bit small. The packaging that requires pressing to open and squeezing to dispense was also somewhat inconvenient.

- (Usage) After shampooing, apply it evenly to the hair and scalp, massage, and rinse after 1-3 minutes. It's unique that the conditioner can be directly applied and massaged into the scalp, which is more effective.

- (Sensation - Cooling Effect) The peppermint scent gives an invigorating, cooling sensation, almost like applying a mint candy directly on the head. This would be great for people with a hot scalp or during the summer.

- (Hair & Scalp) The hair instantly becomes soft, smooth and shiny, like seaweed after absorbing water. Even after rinsing, the hair remains more moisturized and smooth than with an average conditioner. The scalp also feels clean, comfortable and refreshed, without any greasiness or discomfort.

I'm a bit worried about leaving it on my scalp for too long, so I apply it to my hair first, then use what's left to massage into my scalp.
I squeeze out a bit, work it through my hair, and then squeeze out more to massage into my scalp. Even a little bit makes my hair feel so soft.

It doesn't pump out easily, and I have to press it in upside down to get it out. 
Since I wash my hair daily, I'm going through it quickly, and the price is... ugh.

It's a bit inconvenient to use. Normally shampoos or conditioners come in tube or pump form, but the Nioxin 5 package needs to be squeezed, and it's not a tube either, so it's inconvenient to squeeze. It seems like I won't be able to use up all the product at the end.

I usually use a hair pack after shampooing, but for the past ten days I've been using the Nioxin 5 conditioner instead of the hair pack.

It doesn't have the same glossy, smooth feel as a hair pack, but it has a moderate shine. The texture isn't as slippery when squeezed onto the hand. I think it would be better for those with an oily scalp. But it doesn't leave a fluffy finish either. Even for my dry hair, I don't feel it's stiff.

The product performance is really great. If this product were to be polarizing, it would likely be due to the strong mint scent. It's not a fresh, clean mint scent, but more of a pungent, menthol-like smell.

The strong mint scent (refreshing) + the treatment that can be applied directly to the scalp (no need to be careful when applying) seem like features that men would appreciate. In fact, my husband used to only shampoo and skip the conditioner because he found it troublesome, but he really liked using the Nioxin conditioner. (He enjoyed the cooling sensation when it touched his scalp)
And the thing I liked most was that even when using a generous amount, my hair didn't become greasy or heavy and weighed down.
Normally when using a conditioner, I only apply it to the ends of my hair (applying it all over makes the hair feel heavy and weighed down), but with the Nioxin product, even after drying my hair, it didn't feel heavy at all.
Oh, and on busy mornings when it's hard to leave the conditioner on for a long time, just leaving it on for about a minute is enough to make the hair feel soft and smooth.
