Especially in the beginning! (Later on, I did get some acne even when I applied it ^^;) Although the low concentration didn't have a huge effect on me, I did notice a slight pore-minimizing effect. In particular, my skin felt smooth and glowy when I applied it! I plan to finish this product and try a higher concentration next.
ConsThe effect may not be overly dramatic, but since it's a low concentration of 0.2%, I think that's probably the case.
TipI remember it was a bit stinging at first! Since it's retinol, an adjustment period is needed in the beginning. Especially at first, you'll need to apply sunscreen well during the day!

The acne also seems to be disappearing.
ConsAt night, I apply it and go to sleep. It has a somewhat oily formulation. I dispense a few drops onto my palm and gently pat it all over.

It can be easily purchased from Olive Young at a very reasonable price! True to its reputation, the ingredients are reliable and the packaging is beautiful. The price is so good that it would be a great first product for those trying retinol for the first time!
ConsThe expiration date of 3 months is quite short. It seems very oily and greasy. It falls out as soon as you take it out, so be careful. It needs to be refrigerated, which is a hassle. The long ingredient name like caprylic/something may clog pores for oily skin, so I'm planning to look for another product... ㅜㅜ
TipI recommend this to dry skin types! For oily skin, it seems too greasy to use. ㅜㅜ

It's affordable and has great ingredients - a trustworthy retinol product! The retinol was the main culprit behind fading almost all of the acne scars on my face. Retinol is the best! I also love how they made the bottle dark to prevent the retinol from oxidizing - such a thoughtful touch.
ConsNo matter how much I think about it, the retinol formula itself doesn't get fully absorbed into the skin, but other than that, it's great.
TipRetinol should not be used with vitamin C products, and you should avoid sun exposure after using it! It also pairs amazingly well with centella (cica) ingredients, so I recommend using them together. I use vitamin C in the morning and the retinol + centella ampoule in the evening. When first starting to use retinol, I recommend gradually increasing the frequency - maybe 2-3 times a week at first, then slowly building up. Also, to avoid over-irritation, make sure to prep your skin with a hydrating toner or ampoule before applying the retinol.

Before this, I tried the Dr. Different Vitalift A7g first, and it did make my skin feel more elastic and brighter. However, since my skin barrier is thin, my face felt tight and rough, so I stopped using it and decided to try a The Ordinary product instead. This one has a lower 0.2g concentration, so I thought it would be less irritating. I mixed The Ordinary's retinol with Skin Food's niacinamide, and while there were no side effects, I haven't noticed any visible effects yet. I'll keep using it and hope it can at least minimize my pores a bit.
ConsWhen I used it, there wasn't a dramatic effect, but it's gentle and doesn't cause any side effects. I think mixing it in the cream step is a good way to use it.

Skin Soothing Luckily, retinol seems to suit my skin very well. I started by using it twice a week, every 3-4 days, then every 2 days after 2 weeks, and eventually daily after 4 weeks. During this time, I had no issues with retinol at all. Instead, my blemishes have definitely decreased, and the inflammation caused by hormones has improved faster than before. +. Oil-free As it contains jojoba oil, it has the same effect as using a face oil. +. Cost-effective It is really competitively priced compared to other retinol products on the market. If it didn't contain allergens like preservatives/fragrances, it would have been perfect.
Cons-. Ingredients It contains allergens like preservatives/fragrances, which is disappointing as an atopic dermatitis patient.

I bought this one because it seemed popular at Olive Young and was reasonably priced. Personally, I like this product much better than Innisfree. Innisfree was effective for cystic acne, but it caused bumps on my forehead, so I couldn't apply it all over my face. This product, however, works great for both cystic acne and bumps, so I can apply it all over my face. In short, although this is a pore management product, I've seen amazing results in terms of my skin troubles, so I'm very satisfied with it!
ConsAlthough I have oily skin, I absolutely cannot use this product alone and have to use it with a niacinamide product. Using it alone makes my skin feel extremely oily. Also, my local Olive Young doesn't carry this, so I can only order it online, which is a bit disappointing as I couldn't feel the texture beforehand. It also seems like an adjustment period is necessary. At first, it didn't seem to agree with me, but as I gradually increased the amount, I now can't live without it. And this is a rather significant downside, but when I apply it around my eyes, it causes frequent eye gunk buildup and tearing. So it's a bit inconvenient that I have to fall asleep right after my skincare routine. However, the benefits of calming my skin troubles and improving my skin texture have been so remarkable that my friends were amazed, so I can overlook these downsides.
TipUsing this product together with a niacinamide product enhances the effects! Personally, I find that applying this product, then a niacinamide ampoule, and finally the Daiso Leedle Shot, my skin looks even better the next day.

It also seems to have an effect of reducing wrinkles.
ConsMy skin has become really, really dry... Dry skin is a total no-go.
TipUse it only once a week!

I used to have very large pores on my nose and cheeks, but they have become a bit smaller, making them less noticeable to the eye and easier to cover with makeup. I used to have limits on how much I could cover with makeup, but now the coverage is more seamless, and the smaller pores make my skin look better. - It is also effective for acne scars. For just red pigmentation left after the acne has healed, using brightening products with ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, or tranexamic acid during the day, and retinol at night, can really help. But you have to be very diligent about applying sunscreen, as retinol can make the skin more sensitive to UV exposure. Before using this product, I had tried a lower 0.015% retinol from another brand and didn't have much irritation, but with the 0.2% concentration in this product, I do need to make sure to wear sunscreen even on days when I'm at home.
Cons- Given the nature of retinol, some irritation is unavoidable, so you have to slowly build up tolerance starting with lower concentrations. It requires a lot of patience... I had tried using retinol in my early 20s and had to stop due to the irritation, and for years after that I was too scared to try it again. Some people say you just have to get through that initial irritation phase, but I just couldn't bring myself to keep using it. But now, by starting with an ultra-low concentration product and gradually increasing the amount I mix it with other serums and creams, I've been able to work my way up to using it on its own without the skin getting irritated. The higher the concentration, the more irritation it can cause, so you really have to take it step-by-step, especially if you have sensitive skin. Even though I'm not extremely sensitive, I still feel the irritation each time I increase the concentration, so I've been using barrier repair creams and modeling packs a few times a week to help. And during the summer when I had a lot of acne and my skin barrier was compromised, I stopped using the retinol altogether. - The storage and shelf life requirements are also a bit tricky. It has to be refrigerated after opening and used within 3 months, and since you can't just slather it on, but have to use a small amount, it's hard to finish a bottle in that timeframe. Smaller bottle sizes would be helpful. - The thin, oily texture is also not my preferred formula - I prefer products that absorb more smoothly. But the results are worth tolerating the texture.

I've heard a lot of people say their skin got better after using this. Especially, the bumps have significantly subsided!
ConsSince it's an oil-based formula, it's a bit tricky to apply a moisturizing cream on top of it..! Before finishing this bottle, I want to see even stronger(?) effects, so I'm tempted to buy an oil with a higher retinol content..
