- The color is just perfect. For me, shade 23 is too dark and 21 is too light... This one is 23 but slightly lighter than usual 23. It's ideal for evening out my complexion. - The coverage is decent, and when applied, there's minimal pilling or separation. - It feels moisturizing during application and leaves a soft, matte finish afterwards. - It's difficult to check how much product is left. - The makeup breaks down messily over time. - After a few hours, it settles into pores and emphasizes skin texture. - I've been shocked more than once looking in the mirror after coming home from work! - Despite these issues, I'm on my third tube because the color works so well for me. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 1, 2020
First off, the coverage is excellent! When applied with a beauty blender, it doesn't feel dry at all and goes on smoothly. It's definitely improved since the reformulation. While I'm typically a shade 23, this seemed a bit light for my complexion. After about 10 hours of wear, it tends to bunch up around the mouth and nose areas, which isn't the most flattering look. With all the mask-wearing lately, I've found a great technique: apply with a flat foundation brush, then pat with a damp sponge. This method helps minimize transfer onto your mask. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 6, 2020
As someone who's been using Hanyul for 3 years, I can vouch for its effectiveness! I have acne-prone skin with quite a few blemishes, but this foundation's coverage is so good that I don't even need a separate concealer. It applies smoothly, even on bad skin days, without looking obvious. The setting time is impressively quick. It doesn't cause any skin irritation, making it a really versatile foundation. I have visible pores, but even without a primer, this does an excellent job at covering them. The longevity could be better. Especially around the nose, T-zone, and butterfly zone where I tend to get oily, I had to keep blotting with oil-absorbing sheets. This was the most disappointing aspect. However, it doesn't break down in an unsightly manner. I find it works better with a brush than with a puff. My technique is to first apply it all over with a pore brush, then use a puff to touch up areas that need more coverage. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 21, 2019
It absorbs beautifully! When applied thinly with a flat brush, it lasts for ages and doesn't break down messily. It does a great job covering my acne scars too. The shade feels a bit dark? When it breaks down, it tends to get a bit patchy!
