ConsI have super sensitive skin around my eyes. While it's fine when applying makeup, every time after cleansing, my eyes would swell and itch. I always thought it was due to friction during cleansing, but after downloading the Hwahae app and checking, I found out there were five allergen-causing ingredients!

For cleansing products, I prioritize cleansing effectiveness above all else. That's why I usually preferred cleansing balms and oils, but oils kept getting in my eyes and stinging, and high-quality cleansing oils were too expensive. So I switched to this cleansing water. Its cleansing power is excellent, comparable to or even better than cleansing oils. It even removes that stubborn Peripera mascara and the long-lasting hot pink tints from Missha and Peripera. Plus, the ingredients are so good that I didn't experience any blemishes at all. The oil layer prevents any deep dryness after cleansing. I love that the bottle is transparent, so you can see how much product is left. The price is also affordable, which is great since cleansing products are consumables - if they're too expensive, you tend to use less and end up damaging your skin. The citrus scent might be polarizing for some, but I didn't mind it. It's so effective that you don't even need a separate lip and eye remover. I'm very satisfied as I can use this alone and follow up with a foam cleanser or low pH foam cleanser if needed.
ConsThe amount is less than I expected. That's really the only downside. If I had to mention one more thing, maybe the scent could be divisive?...
TipI apply it generously on Nobrand's 2,000 won round cotton pads to wipe off makeup, then use a cotton swab soaked in the product to thoroughly clean between eyelashes and eyebrows. Follow up with a low pH foam cleanser for a gentle, effective cleanse. The photos below show how it removes: 1. Concealer 2. Super pigmented tint 3. Regular lipstick 4. Contour shadow 5. Dark brown shadow for eyeliner 6. Shimmer shadow 7. Peripera mascara 8. Blush with low staying power As you can see, there's no residue left.

ConsThe downside is that if it gets into your eyes, your vision becomes blurry, and due to the oil content, you need to rinse with water again.

It's an absolute must-have for summer!
ConsThere are no downsides to mention. Being an oil-water formula makes it even better. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry at all.

Even with waterproof products, this alone gets everything off cleanly! The scent isn't bad either, and despite having super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes - it's great!
ConsThe amount is too small. Since I wear makeup every day, I used it up really quickly, which is a shame.

It removes even most waterproof products completely. This is a cleansing product I've been using since it was first released.
ConsI don't really have any complaints so far. Though it would be great if they came out with a larger size!

So I was looking for an alternative when I heard a YouTuber say this one removes even heavy makeup well without irritating the eyes. I decided to give it a try, and to my surprise, it didn't hurt my eyes at all, probably because it's so gentle. Absolutely love it! * It's moisturizing I used to always feel tightness after cleansing, but after using this, my skin feels hydrated. Even though I have oily skin, I prefer products that keep my skin moisturized. So I'm really satisfied using this.
ConsBecause it's gentle, it doesn't remove mascara very well, unfortunately. For a while, I was using Peripera and Kiss Me mascaras, and they were hard to remove. I always felt like I was about to pull out my eyelashes while rubbing, which was really irritating to my eyes. However, I've switched to a different mascara now, so this isn't an issue anymore.
TipAfter removing all my makeup with this product, I use Innisfree Blueberry Cleanser for even more hydration.

I'm absolutely in love with it! I use Kiss Me mascara, which is notoriously difficult to remove. Other cleansing waters struggled, forcing me to use oils and put in extra effort. But this one? It effortlessly melts away even the toughest mascara with just water. It's so convenient and amazing! What's more, after cleansing, my skin doesn't feel dry or tight. It's a refreshing change from the usual stripping effect of other cleansing waters.
ConsI haven't found any significant drawbacks yet... But if I had to nitpick, I'd say you need to shake it well before each use. Honestly, even that isn't really inconvenient, but it's the only thing I can think of!
TipPro tip for removing eye makeup: Place a cotton pad soaked in this cleansing water over your eyes, wait a moment, then gently wipe. You'll find it removes makeup much more effectively!

It effectively removes everything from foundation to glitter, mascara, and lipstick with just a small amount. It even tackles waterproof makeup well. While there is a scent, I didn't find it irritating at all. It's a pleasant, neutral fragrance that I personally enjoy. The product description mentions it's a natural-derived scent that gives a refreshing and comfortable feeling. However, if you're sensitive to fragrances, it might be best to test it in-store before purchasing. I've actually gone through about three bottles of this (feeling proud). I have empties to prove it!
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly bad about it. The only downside might be that it's so good you'll use it up quickly!
TipWhile it's mentioned on the product, it's important to note that you should shake the bottle well before use to mix the oil drop layer with the micellar water for optimal effectiveness.

However, it would sting my eyes and leave an oily film that blurred my vision, so I was looking to switch. When I saw the TV ad claiming this product was gentle enough to get in your eyes, I thought, 'This must be mild,' and decided to give it a try. I bought it thinking, 'Well, if it doesn't remove heavy makeup as advertised, at least I tried!' It does feel gentler than the Apple Lip & Eye Remover. There's a slight tingling sensation if it gets in your eyes (similar to when your eyes are dry), but both the stinging and oily residue are less intense compared to other products I've tried (like Missha Lip & Eye Remover, Innisfree Apple Lip & Eye Remover, and Skinfood Milk Lip & Eye Remover). It also leaves a hydrated feeling, so I don't feel the need to rush to wash my face after removing my eye makeup. (For reference, my skin is oily in the T-zone but prone to deep dryness on the cheeks.) In fact, it's so moisturizing that I often find myself getting distracted before washing my face - that's how comfortable it feels!
ConsThe downside is that while it's gentle enough for the eyes, it takes quite a while to remove mascara. You need to hold the cotton pad on your lashes for a long time. At first, even after using this remover and washing my face, I'd still have dark smudges under my eyes as if I hadn't removed my makeup properly. I've since figured out a better removal technique, but for someone like me who prefers quick and easy routines, the cleansing effectiveness is a bit disappointing. As someone who wants effective yet gentle products with good ingredients, I find this slightly inconvenient. However, until I find a milder product with better cleansing power, I'm willing to repurchase this one.
TipAs I mentioned earlier, when removing mascara, you need to hold the soaked cotton pad on your lashes for a while. If you think you've removed everything and wash your face, you might end up with dark smudges around your eyes from leftover mascara. So, here's my technique: First, I use the traditional method of placing a soaked cotton pad on my eyes and waiting for the mascara to dissolve. I wipe until no more residue comes off. Then, for the second step, I flip my lashes up and clean them from underneath (from the lash line towards the cheeks, and vice versa). I let the remover soak in again and wipe. This method ensures no mascara residue remains after washing my face! This might be a well-known technique for many, but I thought I'd share it in case it helps someone who hasn't tried it before!
