I bought this after seeing a video saying it's good for deep dryness. It's a solid product and I like how clean it feels. I usually have severe deep dryness and don't like sticky products, but even when it's hot and I'm feeling lazy, just using this exfoliating toner keeps my skin from feeling dry. My skin tends to have blemishes come and go, and I'm not the type to consistently follow the same skincare routine. So I can't say this product specifically improved my skin or caused blemishes. Because of this, I don't think there are any real drawbacks to mention. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2021
I'm on my second bottle and there's absolutely no irritation! This toner is perfect for my super sensitive skin that stings even in a light breeze. It's incredibly gentle, but that doesn't mean it lacks hydration. It's wonderfully moisturizing without being sticky at all. Highly recommended for oily skin types! It takes a bit of time to absorb, but that's not really a downside. Just put on a YouTube video while patting it in, and by the time you're done, it'll be fully absorbed! Using this with the sea grape ampoule is a game-changer: say goodbye to rough, bumpy skin and hello to a smooth, plump complexion! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2020
One month usage review Used during: November onwards I love the minimal ingredients and the suitable pH of 5.5 It's gentle with a water-like texture, but when applied it has a slight bouncy feel It absorbs immediately without any stickiness None really. If I had to pick something, the long shelf life could be both a pro and a con? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 12, 2020
Great value for money with a generous amount. It's lightweight and non-sticky, making it perfect for comfortable use even in summer. While it's a hydrating toner, it feels almost too light. The moisture level isn't particularly high, but I suppose that's to be expected from a toner. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJul 29, 2020
Seems suitable for all skin types: 1. Hydration Dry skin may need about 3 layers. After that, it feels like your skin is locked with moisture - deeply hydrated and plump. It fills the skin with hydration, giving a subtle glow and making makeup apply smoothly. 2. Texture Water-like toner. Zero stickiness in the finish. 3. Ingredients I have atopic and sensitive skin, but experienced no blemishes. Instead, as it hydrates, it seems to reduce small bumps. 4. Absorption Due to the hyaluronic acid, it doesn't absorb super quickly. But it's not slow either - somewhere in between. It's challenging to do the 3-layer application on busy mornings... haha. The volume is a bit disappointing for toner masking. Even for dry skin, after a toner mask, you can finish with just serum, skipping emulsion. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinJun 26, 2020
I have dry skin, but not extremely dry. I use this as an exfoliating toner, and it's great because it doesn't leave my skin feeling parched. It's non-sticky and leaves a clean finish. I love both the ingredients and how it feels on my skin. This toner really worked well for me! Considering the price, the amount you get is quite small. You end up using it up pretty quickly, which is a shame. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2020
Conclusion: Hydrating, soothing, and improves skin texture. (The Hwahae Testers 8-day review / Large pores, excess oil, combination dehydrated skin, super sensitive) ★ Extremely hydrating (addresses deep dryness) You can feel the hydration immediately upon application. Checking the ingredients, I found hyaluronic acid! While products with hyaluronic acid as the main ingredient have caused blemishes for me before, this one provides just the right amount of hydration without being sticky! ★ Versatile formula - can be used as an exfoliating toner, hand toner, or skin pack I've been switching up my skincare routine as the emulsion I've been using for years was just sitting on top of my skin and making my deep dryness worse. This toner has helped with my dehydration, so I've been using it generously. The texture is perfect - not too viscous, not too watery - making it suitable for various applications. ★ Soothing While soothing seems to be this toner's main purpose, it doesn't dramatically calm the skin on its own. However, when used with Dr.G cream or Soon Jung Cica Balm, it noticeably enhances the soothing effect. ★ Skin texture You might not be able to tell from the photo, but I can feel my skin becoming smoother after using it as a skin pack! While the effect isn't as dramatic as with galactomyces or rose water, I'm satisfied since I can't use those ingredients daily due to my super sensitive skin! ★ Is it irritating for sensitive skin? (Conclusion - No blemishes) Most people looking for basic skincare on the Hwahae app have sensitive skin, so it's a bit disappointing that there's even a small amount of acid included. Of course, it didn't cause any blemishes for me despite my super sensitive skin, but I was unfamiliar with the sea grape ingredient, so I was worried about potential reactions before using it. I recommend this toner because it has simple ingredients and provides 'moderate hydration, moderate soothing, and moderate balancing'. However, it's a shame that people might be hesitant to try it because of the acid... ★ Simple ingredients allow for customization with extracts! You can enhance it by mixing in small amounts of natural extracts like houttuynia cordata, centella asiatica, broccoli, etc., depending on your skin's needs! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2020
As a Hwahae Tester, here's my review after using the product for about a week: The toner absorbs well into the skin. It feels like it quickly penetrates, giving a sense of deep hydration. There's no sticky feeling at all. For someone like me who experiences slight dryness, I wished the toner was a bit more moisturizing. My skin type: - Combination dehydrated skin - Prone to developing small bumps when products contain high amounts of hyaluronic acid I used the Under Ten Skin toner alone. After application, I noticed some slight bumps appearing, so I've currently stopped using it. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing about the product. It's just unfortunate that it didn't suit my skin type. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2020
Hello, this is The Hwahae Testers! This product was great because it absorbs well without feeling sticky. After using it consistently for two weeks, my skin definitely felt much more soothed! I'm sensitive to fragrances, but this one didn't have any bothersome scent, which was nice. I really appreciated the simple, minimalist packaging. It feels a bit too watery... The hydration evaporates quickly, making my skin feel relatively dry. It might be difficult to use in winter - more suitable for summer. Also, it doesn't seem to provide deep, lasting moisture. Using it as a skin pack really does calm the skin! However, remember that leaving a skin pack on for too long isn't good for you! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2020
This is my review as one of The Hwahae Testers! I'll write an honest review without exaggeration. My skin isn't particularly acne-prone, but it is sensitive. The product is fragrance-free with a light, non-sticky water-like texture. I'm not a fan of skincare products with strong scents, so this is a plus for me. While there aren't any standout features or dramatic effects, I think that's what makes it suitable for many people to try without hesitation. It seems like a product that's easy to incorporate into your routine. My skin is extremely sensitive, so even the slightest mismatch with a product can cause a major reaction. After using this product, I developed small blemishes all over. Since I haven't changed any other cosmetics recently, I believe these blemishes are due to this product. If you have sensitive skin like mine, please keep this in mind! In my case, I used the 5-ply cotton pads available at Olive Young, separating them into single layers. The thinness of these pads means you only need a small amount of toner to cover your face effectively. Hope this tip helps!
