When Etude first entered Olive Young, I bought this palette as it was said to be great for cool-toned skin, but... The shimmer shades in this palette are absolutely stunning. I especially loved Rose Bud Tea, a shimmery pink pearl that was my favorite. All the pearl shades have a very fine texture, making them excellent as highlighters and perfect for everyday use without being overwhelming. It's great that the palette includes a suitable shading color, allowing you to do simple contouring with just this one palette. What makes this product unique is the Hibiscus Tea shade - an incredibly deep red tone that you don't often see in other palettes on the market. All the pink-based colors have a warm undertone, which sometimes looks a bit off on cool-toned skin. However, there's also a cement-colored shadow for depth, which doesn't seem to harmonize well with the other shades. The brown shades for creating depth are limited, and all the browns have a sheer color payoff, making it difficult to build up shadows. The darkest shade available is the Hibiscus color, but it's too red for everyday use. The palette design looks cheap... Even for a road shop brand, the outer case quality is significantly lower compared to other palettes at this price point. It's made of inexpensive plastic that started peeling off like skin after some use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJun 21, 2021
I bought the summer cool palette and I'm extremely satisfied! Here's why: 1. The second pink shimmer from the top is perfect for highlighting the aegyo sal (under-eye area). 2. The top right color is great for adding a subtle shadow to the eyes or for nose contouring. 3. The second color from the bottom right is also excellent for contouring! 4. The bottom right color works well for covering eyeliner or slightly filling in the waterline. I don't use the other colors much, though. There's nothing bad to say! Even the brush that comes with it is convenient and great for gently applying color to the aegyo sal area. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 20, 2021
Perfect for cool-toned skin! Most cool-toned eyeshadow palettes are overwhelmingly pink, which isn't great. But this one has just the right mix of browns that complement cool undertones, making it absolutely fantastic. To be honest, there's nothing really bad about it. If I had to nitpick, I guess the packaging looks a bit cheap...? You can do everything from eyebrows to nose contouring to eyeshadow all in one palette. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 22, 2020
The arrival of an eyeshadow palette that's absolutely perfect for cool-toned beauties! As someone with a cool complexion, I was so excited that I rushed to Olive Young as soon as it was released. Though it was hard to find in stores at first, I finally got my hands on it. The color combination is gorgeous, and the best part? There's not a single shade you'd want to skip! It's amazing for cool undertones - no yellow tints in sight, and it even includes a calm pink and lavender that I absolutely adore. Olive Young is having sales lately, and you can swatch the colors in-store, so I highly recommend checking it out! If you were really looking forward to a strong lavender shade, you might be slightly disappointed. Highly recommended for winter cool-toned beauties! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 21, 2020
Highly recommended for cool-toned individuals who don't typically suit heavy eye makeup! The color payoff is surprisingly beautiful. The Ginger Chamomile shade has a subtle pink hue that's more delicate than expected - it's absolutely stunning! The Lavender Tea, Peppermint, and Soy Chai Tea shades are perfect for eyeshadows. There's a bit of excess powder fallout. It's slightly disappointing that there aren't many shades suitable for eyeliner use. Cool-toned beauties, this one's for you! I ordered mine during a website sale - just a helpful tip! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 1, 2020
1. Harmonious color combination: Pink & Brown Etude House has finally hit the mark! All the colors are absolutely gorgeous. It's so touching that none of the 10 shades are disposable. I was worried the pigmentation might be too intense before buying, but all the colors are appropriate and blend harmoniously on the eyes. Etude House is known for warm tones, so I was a bit apprehensive, but this palette seems to have toned down the warmth the most! 2. Perfect for daily use Most of the colors aren't overly pigmented or dark, making it an ideal palette for everyday use! I've been using it daily, alternating between the left and right side shadows. Usually, when I apply eyeshadow, my eyes look puffy and somewhat sickly, but with this palette, that's no longer an issue. I'm truly delighted! It's the ultimate natural makeup palette that can be used year-round, regardless of the season. 1. Excess powder I used both the included brush and my own, and there was some fallout. But if the colors are pretty, that's what matters! This level of fallout is tolerable. 2. Palette design The palette design feels a bit childish... I wish it looked more sophisticated and prettier! I think I'll be sticking with this palette, so I'll be waiting for a redesign. 3. Subtle shimmer The shimmer is a bit disappointing! Was this palette designed for completely natural and subdued makeup? Even the shimmer shades are very subtle compared to other shimmer shadows. When applied, they don't seem to last long either. I wouldn't recommend this to those looking for a definite sparkle! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 14, 2020
I was on the hunt for a cool-toned eyeshadow palette and after much deliberation, I finally made my purchase! 1. Colors Unlike other cool-toned palettes on the market that often include throwaway shades or at least one warm tone, this one doesn't have any of that! What I find most impressive is the color combination. Other products tend to lean too heavily on pinks or browns, limiting versatility. This palette, however, has a perfect blend of pinks and browns, allowing for various looks! The shades are genuinely cool-toned too (Chamomile might be slightly warm, but it's still a beautiful color that cool-toned folks can pull off - it's the second from the bottom). All in all, I have absolutely no regrets and feel proud of my purchase! Etude really nailed the colors with this one. ++++Update Listen up, folks! Instead of buying this, go for Peripera's new palette. I tested it today, and the quality is on a whole different level compared to this one. This palette barely shows up, while Peripera's colors glide on smoothly. The shimmer gives a glossy, Vaseline-like glow. It's priced at 19,000 won, which is only 7,000 won more than this one, but the quality is far superior. I wish it had been available when I bought this one... I really want it now. Make sure you get the Peripera one!!!!!!! 1. There's a tiny bit of excess when applying. 2. The packaging looks a bit outdated. 3. The price of 26,000 won... As a student, it's quite steep, right? I hesitated a lot too. However, with 10 beautiful shades, I don't think you'll regret the purchase! The rightmost shade at the top works perfectly as a nose contour!
