Color: While it appears to be a reddish-brown in the tube, when applied to the lips it gives off a toned-down red-orange vibe. Texture: True to its 'velvet' name, it applies matte but feels like you're smoothing on a velvety cream. Unlike other matte tints that emphasize dead skin cells and settle into fine lines, this one doesn't accentuate texture or creases, which I really appreciated. Longevity and Staining: There's a slight staining effect, but it tends to fade quickly when eating. However, if you're not eating, the staying power is pretty good. As someone with a deep undertone, wearing it alone was a bit challenging. Still, it works great for gradient lips. Given its affordable price and good value for money, I'd recommend giving it a try at least once. After prolonged use, tint can build up around the closure, which might transfer to your hands. Other than that, I can't think of any significant drawbacks. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 23, 2022
< BBIA: Last Velvet Lip Tint 25. Classic Drama > - Color: First off, it's a unique shade you don't often see in drugstore brands..!! It's like a dried rose, but a bit deeper, and also reminds me slightly of chocolate... - Staying power: Since it's a matte tint, the longevity is definitely impressive. Even after eating, a good amount of color remains, which I really like. - Pigmentation: The color payoff is incredibly strong, so if you apply too much, it might completely cover your natural lip color. I recommend applying just a small amount to the inner part of your lips. - Scent: The fragrance isn't exactly unpleasant, but it's too strong and has a somewhat heavy feel to it, which I personally dislike. If they changed just the scent, I think I'd reach for it more often. - Texture: It has a slightly thick consistency. When applied to the lips, it definitely feels different from the matte tints that are popular these days. Also, it's so matte that those who prefer moisturizing lip products might not enjoy it..! I'm not a big fan of matte lips either, so I usually layer a gloss or lip balm over it as shown in the photo. - Emphasizes dead skin cells: Naturally, being a matte type tint, it tends to accentuate dry patches on the lips. So on days when my lips aren't in great condition, applying this can actually make them look worse. I only use it when my lips are in good shape. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 17, 2022
The color is just right - not too chocolatey or too red. I love how it has a matte finish when applied. Unfortunately, as time passes after application, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 17, 2021
This is seriously amazing! It's matte but doesn't emphasize dead skin cells at all. The 'Makjang's Classic' shade is absolutely gorgeous. It's disappointing that the opening broke easily even though I didn't drop it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 8, 2021
I love matte lips, so when I found this one that seemed pretty matte, I gave it a try. It turned out to be absolutely amazing! To be honest, there wasn't really anything bad about it. The only issue was that it tended to leak a bit. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 6, 2021
First off, the scent is pleasant. After application, it adheres perfectly to the lips without emphasizing dead skin cells or causing dryness, which I love. It gives exactly the matte finish I was looking for! I've tried many other lip products, but this is the one I end up using daily. The price is affordable too. I even repurchased it after losing one. Although I recently discovered I have a deep undertone, so I don't use it as often now, I still highly recommend it. It's absolutely perfect for warm undertones - a must-have! I apply it alone, and it looks absolutely beautiful without needing any other lip products. I didn't have any issues personally, but my friend's tint had a problem with the cap separating or something like that. As a result, she couldn't take it out with her. That seems to be the only drawback I can think of. It's amazing when applied alone for a gradient effect - absolutely fantastic! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinFeb 6, 2021
The color is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for everyday wear. It has a lovely matte finish that I really appreciate. None whatsoever. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinOct 26, 2020
The formula has a cozy yet matte texture that glides on smoothly, leaving a velvety finish. The applicator allows for precise control of the amount and helps create a beautiful lip shape. It tends to emphasize dead skin cells a bit and feels heavier compared to other tints. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 16, 2020
The color is less brown on the lips than it appears, with a matte finish It can leak if not closed properly, and it tends to emphasize dead skin cells. A lip balm is essential before application - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 6, 2020
This is truly a holy grail tint, absolutely fantastic. When applied, it sets to a matte, powdery finish without drying out the lips. As a result, there's no emphasis on dead skin cells. I was hoping for a deep shade, and while it's not as intense as the official photos suggest, it's perfectly deep for everyday wear. I've tried many combinations of matte + tint + deep red because I'm obsessed with that combo, but this one takes the crown. I'm notoriously stingy with my ratings and rarely give 5 stars, but this product deserves it. Personally, I adore intense deep reds, so even though this is the deepest shade in the BBIA tint line, I felt it could have been even deeper with a few drops of brown added. It's not completely transfer-proof; there is some transfer.
