I received this as a gift and started using it. I've tried other Primera products before, but I didn't have high expectations, thinking all moisturizers would be similar. However, this cream, designed for those with drier skin among the Alpine Berry cream line, worked well even for my combination dehydrated skin without feeling heavy. The scent is a refreshing herbal aroma, and the texture is between a cream and a balm, not greasy at all. I was surprised when I first opened it, expecting something like Physiogel cream, but found a more balm-like consistency, so I initially only used it at night. But it absorbs incredibly fast, doesn't leave an oily residue, and seems to 'melt' into the skin (you'll understand the difference when you try it). The finish isn't greasy, so I tried it in the morning before makeup. It absorbs quickly while providing a moisturizing coating, making it great for makeup application. I'm very satisfied. Thanks to its balm-like texture, it seems suitable for use even in dry seasons, despite being a moisturizer. I couldn't find any drawbacks. Some people might find it heavy for daytime use, but I use it morning and night without issues, even though I have combination dehydrated skin rather than extremely dry skin. I just apply a thinner layer in the morning. Due to its thick consistency, which is between a balm and a cream, a spatula is essential for application. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 3, 2021
Review after finishing a whole bottle: I can definitely feel the hydration. I usually have very dry skin, but this winter I didn't need to reach for my mist spray as often. It's not too rich either, so I could apply it generously before makeup without feeling greasy. While it provides hydration, the lasting power seems a bit weak. I noticed my skin feeling slightly dry by the afternoon. Also, I wish they had sales more frequently! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinDec 6, 2020
As someone with sensitive skin, my top priority was finding a product that wouldn't cause stinging or itching when applied. I had been using Belif's acne-focused emulsion and essence for years, but since they're for acne-prone skin, they weren't very rich. My skin gets dry in winter, so I needed a creamier formula with a bit more moisture. While browsing at Sephora, I tested this product on my arm and it was exactly the texture I was looking for! It wasn't too oily or too dry - just right. It felt hydrating and velvety smooth, and most importantly, it didn't feel greasy or heavy, which is why I decided to buy it. When I tried it at home, I was thrilled that it didn't cause any irritation, kept my skin moisturized, and didn't leave an oily residue. I was really satisfied! Being a bit lazy, I stopped using my previous Belif products and only used this cream. After about 1-2 weeks of use (I've been using it for over a month now), I suddenly noticed a ton of tiny bumps on my forehead. My forehead became so rough, and at first, I was confused because there was no stinging or irritation. Thinking back to how I described the texture as velvety smooth, I suspect there might be some powder-like ingredients in it. These ingredients seem to create a film on the skin without deeply hydrating, possibly clogging the pores. Since I wasn't using any other skincare products, just this cream, I'm pretty sure this was the cause. I still have a lot left and didn't want to waste it, so I tried to find a way to make it work. I thought my skin might be lacking deep hydration, so I decided to layer it with Aromatica's Aloe Gel. First, I apply a small amount of the aloe gel and massage it into my face. After about 30 seconds, when the excess gel has somewhat absorbed, I apply another layer of the same amount. This helps to deeply hydrate my skin. Then, I apply a moderate amount of this moisturizer on top. I've been following this routine while occasionally using an extractor to clear any clogged pores. With this method, my skin has almost returned to its previous condition! I know this review is quite long, but I wanted to let you know that this product might not be sufficient on its own for some skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2020
I was looking for a cream to use before makeup or before bed, and I decided to purchase this one. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, heavy creams make my skin oily, while lighter formulas leave it dry. This product, when used in the right amount, doesn't cause dryness or excess oil, which I really appreciate. It doesn't seem to have much effect on blemishes. After researching, I found that the ingredients aren't particularly impressive. Next time, I'd like to try the regular watery cream instead of the intensive version. Perhaps because it's intensive, it feels like it's sitting on top of the skin rather than absorbing well, creating a layered sensation. Before applying makeup, it's best to focus on areas prone to dryness like the cheeks and around the mouth. For areas that tend to get oily like the T-zone and forehead, using just the essence works well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2020
Perfect cream for combination dehydrated skin that gets extra dry in winter. The texture is rich but absorbs well and quickly without leaving an overwhelming oily residue. It doesn't cause pilling and works great under makeup. The thick consistency means you use up quite a bit with each application. It feels slightly lacking in hydration. Recommend layering with a hydrating toner or ampoule to boost moisture levels. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 26, 2019
It absorbs well without feeling sticky or greasy Shortly after application, my skin feels extremely tight, forcing me to reapply frequently I've been mixing in a drop or two of face oil when applying, but I probably won't repurchase this product - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2019
I tried this product as a sample and loved it so much I decided to buy the full size! The hydration level is just right, and it absorbs well into the skin. I also appreciate that it's not too rich, which is great! There's nothing I particularly dislike about it... I highly recommend it!
