After trying countless products, I've finally found my holy grail! I discovered this gem while searching for an alternative to Belif's Aqua Bomb, which became too pricey after its reformulation. As someone with sensitive, blemish-prone, and extremely dry skin with redness, here's why I love it: 1. Hydration For my parched skin, rich creams are essential. This one's hydrating power is so impressive that it's become my go-to. I use it day and night, even under makeup, and it never disappoints. I often apply it in two thin layers, and slather it on generously as an overnight mask. 2. Cooling Effect Despite its rich texture, it feels wonderfully cool on application. As someone prone to redness, I adore this soothing sensation. I keep it in the fridge for an extra refreshing experience, which also seems to improve makeup adherence. 3. Texture The shea butter formula has a thick consistency, but it melts beautifully with body heat, spreading easily. This makes it perfect for layering. 4. Gentleness While the ingredient list isn't perfect, it feels incredibly gentle on my skin. I've been using it consistently without any irritation or blemishes. 5. Packaging The glass jar is a huge plus! It conducts temperature well (great for my fridge storage method) and gives the product a luxurious feel. I'm a sucker for glass packaging! 1. Scent The rosemary-like herbal fragrance, typical of Primera products, was initially off-putting. I've grown accustomed to it now. 2. Occasional Pilling While it usually absorbs quickly, there are rare instances when it feels like it's sitting on top of the skin. This can be a bit uncomfortable, though it's infrequent and usually only happens when my skin isn't at its best. 3. Slight Heaviness After the initial cooling sensation fades and the rich oils settle, it can feel a tad heavy. This is particularly noticeable when wearing a mask. However, this is somewhat expected with such a rich cream. These drawbacks are quite minor and don't significantly impact my overall positive experience with the product. Pro tip: Instead of applying a large amount at once, try using smaller amounts in two layers. This method significantly extends the hydration. The cream works by providing a moisture boost and then sealing it in with an oil barrier. It's absolutely fantastic as an overnight hydrating mask - you'll wake up to smooth, plump, and incredibly soft skin. I generously apply it at night and go through it quickly, but it's so worth it! This technique works even better than most sheet masks. Highly recommend using it as an overnight hydrating treatment! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 11, 2021
It was amazing, it's amazing, and it's just so incredibly amazing! It's slightly oily, but everything else was great Works wonderfully as a moisturizer before bed - or***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 22, 2021
This cream has been my winter savior since it came out. While I used to be fine with just a watery cream until early fall, I found the intensive version perfect for winter. It's not too thick, absorbs well, and feels like a regular watery cream with added nourishment. I love the subtle herbal scent too. Everything about it is satisfying... except the price. I stocked up when they had the large size on sale, but this is my last jar. It's funny that 100ml is considered 'large' - I think it could be bigger. As a student, the price is a bit steep for frequent use. On those bitterly cold days when you feel like your face might crack, try mixing in a drop or two of oil before applying. - db********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 16, 2021
I received this as a gift and started using it. I've tried other Primera products before, but I didn't have high expectations, thinking all moisturizers would be similar. However, this cream, designed for those with drier skin among the Alpine Berry cream line, worked well even for my combination dehydrated skin without feeling heavy. The scent is a refreshing herbal aroma, and the texture is between a cream and a balm, not greasy at all. I was surprised when I first opened it, expecting something like Physiogel cream, but found a more balm-like consistency, so I initially only used it at night. But it absorbs incredibly fast, doesn't leave an oily residue, and seems to 'melt' into the skin (you'll understand the difference when you try it). The finish isn't greasy, so I tried it in the morning before makeup. It absorbs quickly while providing a moisturizing coating, making it great for makeup application. I'm very satisfied. Thanks to its balm-like texture, it seems suitable for use even in dry seasons, despite being a moisturizer. I couldn't find any drawbacks. Some people might find it heavy for daytime use, but I use it morning and night without issues, even though I have combination dehydrated skin rather than extremely dry skin. I just apply a thinner layer in the morning. Due to its thick consistency, which is between a balm and a cream, a spatula is essential for application. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedAug 23, 2021
Even after applying toner and emulsion post-cleansing, my face always felt tight and dry. After trying various moisturizers, I've finally found this gem that keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day long. The fragrance is subtle and pleasant, making it suitable even for those with sensitive noses! The price point is a bit high, but given how well it works, I can't really complain. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 15, 2021
It's gentle and moisturizing. Usually, even when I apply creams that claim to be soothing, they can sting around my eyes, but this one was fine. There wasn't anything particularly bad. It would be nice if it came in a squeeze tube format as well. - wo****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 15, 2021
First off, I have thin skin that's prone to deep dryness. I use this especially during seasonal changes when my skin gets rough. After trying a sample, I was sold on its rich moisturizing effect that left my skin feeling calm and comfortable. With the dry weather and mask-wearing making my skin even more parched, I couldn't even wear makeup. But after applying this before work, my skin stayed hydrated until I reached the office. I'd even apply it again once I got there! It's more than just a simple moisturizer - it has a bit of richness to it, which I love. Best of all, there was no tingling sensation! While it's called 'intensive', those with extremely dry skin might need to apply it 2-3 times. I mean, I reapplied once I got to the office... It's not really a downside, but I thought I'd mention it. I applied it with my hands and cupped my face to help it absorb. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2021
It's the epitome of hydration! For my skin that suffers from deep dryness, this was absolutely top-notch. The price might be a bit steep for students... However, I don't feel like the money spent is wasted. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2021
It's gentle, absorbs well, feels lightweight, and is really nice overall. It also sinks into the skin nicely. For those with dry or extremely dry skin, you might prefer something richer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 13, 2021
It's pretty decent! It doesn't cause any blemishes, just... okay overall. For combination dehydrated skin, it just sits on the surface. It doesn't give that hydrating feeling at all.
