After trying countless products, I've finally found my holy grail! I discovered this gem while searching for an alternative to Belif's Aqua Bomb, which became too pricey after its reformulation. As someone with sensitive, blemish-prone, and extremely dry skin with redness, here's why I love it: 1. Hydration For my parched skin, rich creams are essential. This one's hydrating power is so impressive that it's become my go-to. I use it day and night, even under makeup, and it never disappoints. I often apply it in two thin layers, and slather it on generously as an overnight mask. 2. Cooling Effect Despite its rich texture, it feels wonderfully cool on application. As someone prone to redness, I adore this soothing sensation. I keep it in the fridge for an extra refreshing experience, which also seems to improve makeup adherence. 3. Texture The shea butter formula has a thick consistency, but it melts beautifully with body heat, spreading easily. This makes it perfect for layering. 4. Gentleness While the ingredient list isn't perfect, it feels incredibly gentle on my skin. I've been using it consistently without any irritation or blemishes. 5. Packaging The glass jar is a huge plus! It conducts temperature well (great for my fridge storage method) and gives the product a luxurious feel. I'm a sucker for glass packaging! 1. Scent The rosemary-like herbal fragrance, typical of Primera products, was initially off-putting. I've grown accustomed to it now. 2. Occasional Pilling While it usually absorbs quickly, there are rare instances when it feels like it's sitting on top of the skin. This can be a bit uncomfortable, though it's infrequent and usually only happens when my skin isn't at its best. 3. Slight Heaviness After the initial cooling sensation fades and the rich oils settle, it can feel a tad heavy. This is particularly noticeable when wearing a mask. However, this is somewhat expected with such a rich cream. These drawbacks are quite minor and don't significantly impact my overall positive experience with the product. Pro tip: Instead of applying a large amount at once, try using smaller amounts in two layers. This method significantly extends the hydration. The cream works by providing a moisture boost and then sealing it in with an oil barrier. It's absolutely fantastic as an overnight hydrating mask - you'll wake up to smooth, plump, and incredibly soft skin. I generously apply it at night and go through it quickly, but it's so worth it! This technique works even better than most sheet masks. Highly recommend using it as an overnight hydrating treatment! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 13, 2021
It's pretty decent! It doesn't cause any blemishes, just... okay overall. For combination dehydrated skin, it just sits on the surface. It doesn't give that hydrating feeling at all. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 28, 2020
To be honest, I can't really think of any standout positives... The ingredients aren't particularly gentle, the hydration isn't exceptional, and it's not even good value for money. I'd suggest trying something else instead. 1. Deep dryness After application, it only makes the surface look shiny without moisturizing deep down. 2. Price The quality doesn't justify the 37,000 won price tag. 3. Greasiness As mentioned earlier, it doesn't absorb well, leaving the skin feeling quite oily. 4. Ingredients The formulation might be okay for those with resilient skin like mine, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with thin or super sensitive skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 25, 2020
The texture is rich and the scent is decent, I guess... To be honest, I had such a hard time with this product that I can barely think of any positives. Those with deep dryness should avoid this product. It's only oily and sits on top of the skin without absorbing. My skin is extremely dehydrated, and after using this, I woke up in the morning with my skin feeling so dry it was painful. I really struggled with the discomfort in the morning. Please, for your own sake, buy a different hydrating moisturizer... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 23, 2020
The basic products from this brand have a lovely scent and provide great hydration! The Intensive Cream has a slightly firm and rich texture. I have combination dehydrated skin that's prone to oiliness. When I apply thick or heavy creams, my skin tends to produce excess oil. However, if you use just the right amount, it should be fine. After using it, I checked the ingredients and realized they're not as good as I thought... The texture is a bit heavy, and when applying it, it feels like it's forming a film on the skin's surface. It seems using a moderate amount would be best. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2020
I was looking for a cream to use before makeup or before bed, and I decided to purchase this one. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, heavy creams make my skin oily, while lighter formulas leave it dry. This product, when used in the right amount, doesn't cause dryness or excess oil, which I really appreciate. It doesn't seem to have much effect on blemishes. After researching, I found that the ingredients aren't particularly impressive. Next time, I'd like to try the regular watery cream instead of the intensive version. Perhaps because it's intensive, it feels like it's sitting on top of the skin rather than absorbing well, creating a layered sensation. Before applying makeup, it's best to focus on areas prone to dryness like the cheeks and around the mouth. For areas that tend to get oily like the T-zone and forehead, using just the essence works well.
