It made my nose so smooth! Really helps with sebum control! There might be a tingling sensation, but it's gentler if you dissolve it in water before use - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 15, 2024
After using this, my face feels incredibly smooth every time I wet it or apply other skincare products. It lathers up well, creating an endless amount of foam. Just when you think the foam is running out, add a bit of water and suddenly it's rich and plentiful again. I really loved that. First off, there were no visible effects on texture, milia, or blemishes. The granules were too irritating and caused a tingling sensation. Even using it only in the mornings daily or every other day was irritating. It was only tolerable when used twice a week. The scent is unlike anything I've experienced in skincare products before - it has a grain-like oatmeal smell that isn't particularly pleasant, but it's not terribly off-putting either. -Update- I think this was one of the main culprits that negatively affected my skin. I had stripped back my skincare routine and my skin was quite stable recently, but as soon as I started using this again, my skin reacted immediately. Using this causes wounds on my skin as shown in the photo... It's not blemishes or inflammation, but this is what happens. 1-2 years ago, I was stressed because I had many of these wounds rather than blemishes, and they left marks. Now I know this was the cause. If you have super sensitive skin like me, please don't use this. Even though I rubbed it thoroughly in my hands and added lots of water to dissolve the powder before applying it to my face, this still happened. The photo doesn't show how severe it can get, but with continued use, your entire cheeks can end up like this. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 22, 2023
I've tried other enzyme powders before, but this is my first time with this one. I love its nutty scent and it's relatively gentle on the skin. The individual packaging is great for travel, and it's also perfect for home use. Unlike bulk powders that can get damp and musty over time, these single-use packets eliminate that worry. As with most enzyme powders, it's a bit disappointing that it doesn't lather much. Occasionally while cleansing, I feel a slight tingling sensation, as if there are larger scrub particles. The individual packaging, while convenient, does make it a bit pricier. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2023
It's so hydrating and gentle on the skin! I love how it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, and it creates a perfect base for makeup. Be careful when applying it to dry or blemish-prone areas, as it might cause a tingling sensation. It's best to avoid those spots. Great to use the night before applying makeup! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 22, 2022
As expected from an enzyme powder, it's excellent at removing dead skin cells. It even has a pleasant nutty scent. This product does such a great job at exfoliation that I could completely replace my usual BHA products. It's fascinating to see the mix of rice-like particles and something green in the powder. While it's undoubtedly effective, there are times when the scrub feels a bit too harsh. Occasionally, if I don't use enough water or apply too much pressure, my cheeks can feel tingly for two days. And please, if you use this, don't use any other exfoliating products! Focus on hydration instead. I wish I hadn't learned this the hard way... If you have super sensitive skin and use this incorrectly... Even those with resilient, oily skin need to be careful with this, let alone other skin types. If you want to protect your skin barrier... Search YouTube for enzyme powder usage tips and watch any video that comes up. When lathering, use water at 40-50°C, and make sure to create plenty of foam! Gently massage it onto your skin. Please, be careful. There's also a method for using it as an enzyme mask - just mix the powder with a bit of water in any bowl, apply to dry skin, steam your face, and when it feels dry, wet your hands thoroughly and gently roll over problem areas before rinsing off. And please, whether it's BHA or AHA, if you've used this, don't use other exfoliants... Unless you want your skin to peel off... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 22, 2020
Wow... I've seen amazing results using this product! Whiteheads were always a stress point for me, but here's my secret: First, I warm my face with lukewarm water, then I mix the powder with water to create a rich lather before applying. It's truly a whitehead annihilator! I first tried this as a free sample from Olive Young, and I've never experienced such immediate effectiveness from a product before - I bought it right away. If you're stressed about whiteheads caused by wearing masks, try this and see the light... I'm serious! One downside was that when I first used the sample, I experienced a slight allergic reaction(?). I felt a bit of a tingling sensation, though it might have been due to my fatigue at the time. However, when I used the full-size product, I had no issues at all, so it was likely just my body's condition! Still, for those with super sensitive skin, I'd recommend thoroughly dissolving it in water before use, just to be safe. While this isn't exactly a peeling product, it does exfoliate with granules, so I'd recommend using it only two or three times a week! And when you're trying it for the first time, make sure to thoroughly wet it to create a soft lather, then gently roll it over your skin for the best results. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinApr 21, 2020
- Current skin condition: Deep dryness, with inflammatory blemishes mainly around the chin area - Texture: Feels like touching cornstarch (corn starch is actually the first ingredient, haha!) Yellow powder mixed with grain particles and what looks like leaves - Scent: Has a delicious, nutty aroma. Reminds me of Job's tears tea, pleasantly roasted. Such a yummy smell! - Cleansing effectiveness: While it's not strong enough to remove makeup, it's as effective as a regular foam cleanser in removing makeup residue and impurities - Slightly acidic: Leaves skin feeling hydrated, not dry Being mildly acidic, it feels gentle on the skin I liked that it didn't leave my skin feeling tight or squeaky clean - Exfoliating effect: The grain particles create a gentle scrub as they roll with the powder wash foam It was great for removing blackheads and sebum with its mild exfoliation Especially with consistent use (every evening), my skin texture became incredibly smooth - Lather: Compared to other powder washes, it seems to produce less foam But given the quality ingredients, I'm satisfied with this level - Scrub effect may be hit or miss for sensitive skin: When my skin isn't in good condition, the grain particles can feel a bit harsh I noticed this when removing makeup with cleansing oil on a day my skin felt sensitive Using the powder wash after, the particles felt a bit prickly and my skin became quite red This only happened once when my skin was acting up, never again after that I'd recommend using it based on your skin's daily condition Using a foam net can help create an even richer lather - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 14, 2020
This was my first time using a powder cleanser. It dissolves well in lukewarm water and quickly creates a rich lather. Personally, I don't like products with strong fragrances, so I appreciated that this one had a mild scent. My skin type is sensitive and combination, prone to developing small blemishes if I use the wrong product, but this one seemed to work well for me in that regard. While it seems to have a scrub effect that leaves my nose area feeling smooth after cleansing, it might have been a bit harsh on my cheeks. After washing, I felt a slight tingling sensation there. In my personal opinion, if you massage this product a bit more on areas with excess oil (like the nose and chin), it seems to improve skin texture and brighten up a dull complexion. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 13, 2020
This review is based on daily morning use for ten days! First, my skin type is extremely oily with deep dryness, making it combination. Currently, I don't have acne, but I used to have a lot in the past, leaving me with large pores. To be honest, I'm not usually meticulous about home care or cleansing. However, given my age, I thought it was time to start taking care of my skin, beginning with exfoliation. That's why I applied for and started using this product. Advantages: The powder particles are fine and soft, causing minimal irritation during cleansing. I used to use a coarse apricot scrub, which was quite irritating and caused a burning sensation. Compared to that, this feels cooler and gentler, but still effectively removes dead skin cells, leaving my skin smooth! I liked that I could control the intensity of the cleansing by adjusting how much water I mixed with the particles. For focused blackhead removal around the nose, I used less water to feel the particles more. For a gentle overall exfoliation, I added more water for a softer cleanse. Review after ten days of use: My dull complexion has noticeably brightened, and my blackheads have significantly improved. My overall skin texture has become more even and soft. I just wish I had a better phone camera to properly capture the skin improvements! Disadvantages: The container has holes for shaking out the powder, which can lead to spilling too much at once if you're not careful. It would be nice if this aspect could be improved. It's not completely non-irritating, especially on sensitive areas like the cheeks. There can be a slight tingling sensation when used all over. I recommend using it more locally on specific areas. If you find it difficult to adjust the consistency with water: 1. First, shake out the appropriate amount of powder onto your palm. 2. Wet your other hand and apply water to the powder on your palm, mixing to your desired consistency before applying to the desired areas. This method allows for better control of the concentration.
