If you're looking for a highlighter that gives a dewy, natural glow, this is the one for you!
ConsIt's a bit sticky, I must say... But it doesn't look too obvious on the skin. It's quite natural!

While Light appears to have more pearl than glow in the photos, when applied to the face, Clear gives a dewy glow effect, whereas Light offers a combination of dewy glow and champagne pearl highlight. I tried Milky Moon, which has pink pearls, to compare the pearl color with Light Balm, but surprisingly, Hince Light has more sparkly pearls. Personally, I found Clear perfect for achieving a pure and clean look or for a subtle, natural glow. Light, on the other hand, looked more beautiful with heavier makeup or under indoor lighting! Applying it directly to the face can ruin your carefully applied base makeup, so it's best to warm it up with your fingertips and gently pat it on. This method looks gorgeous. However, if you want that instant dewy effect, you'll need to build it up by patting it on the cheeks multiple times for a noticeable result. There's inevitably some stickiness, and your hair might stick to it, but the way it makes your skin look so good and beautiful is worth it! I'm completely satisfied and would definitely repurchase when I run out.
ConsThe unavoidable stickiness... There's no way around your hair sticking to it. Also, it can emphasize pores, so you need to be careful to apply it avoiding those areas!
TipInstead of applying directly to the face, warm it up with your hands and gently pat it on.

My skin is super sensitive and prone to blemishes. The Hwahae Testers, this product works wonders for my sensitive combination skin without causing any blemishes! That's the most crucial factor for me. It's perfect for achieving that glossy skin look. If applied correctly, you can achieve a translucent complexion. It suits both cool and warm undertones. I love that the micro-pearls don't particularly favor any specific skin tone. While powder highlighters can make the skin look cakey, this product makes your skin look naturally beautiful. It gives a shimmering glow. The pearls are so fine, making it look very natural! It's perfect as a highlighter for the nose bridge and cheekbones. The clean white design makes my makeup pouch feel brighter. It's a two-in-one product offering both hydration and highlighting benefits.
ConsIt works best with a semi-matte foundation before powder application. If used after powder, it may cause pilling. While it didn't cause any blemishes, I felt a slight tingling sensation when worn for extended periods. The balm-like texture leaves a slightly sticky finish, which is a bit disappointing. Without powder, your hair might stick to it on a windy day. I'd recommend this for dry skin types, as it might make extremely oily skin look overly greasy!
TipPro tips! Apply a light dusting of translucent powder after application to prevent hair from sticking and for a better finish. Just lightly pat on the powder. On light makeup days, apply a small amount to your nose bridge, center of the forehead, cheekbones, and cupid's bow for a subtle moisturizing and highlighting effect!

I have combination dehydrated skin and usually use powder highlighters. As the weather got colder, my skin felt a bit drier, so I was excited to try this stick format! ✅ Texture At first, I thought the product might be soft when pushed up, but surprisingly, it's quite firm. It feels like it'll last a long time. When you touch it, it's smooth and seems like it'll adhere well to the face. ✅ Application When applying over foundation, you have options: 1. Direct application - It doesn't cause pilling, but the color payoff isn't great. 2. Using your fingers - This is the best method! 3. Using a brush - It's a bit tricky to apply to smaller areas. After application, it feels slightly sticky. Finishing with powder dulls the glow, but for areas like the nose, you might need to powder first, then apply the highlighter on top. ✅ Color payoff It gives a sparkling glow with subtle pearls that aren't overwhelming. The pearl color doesn't have a pink undertone, so it should work for various skin tones. ✅ Value for money The amount is generous, about the size of a chubby rice cake. It seems like it'll last a while, and the price is reasonable.
ConsThe slight stickiness might make it challenging to use as a finishing touch in your makeup routine.
TipIf you have dry skin, keep this in your bag. When your skin starts looking parched, just dab a bit on your cheekbones and around your eyes for a beautiful glow.

It's not too overwhelming, making it perfect for daily use. The light reflection makes my skin look great! Balm texture - Being a balm rather than a powder, there's less excess shimmer flying around. It feels more natural than a powder highlighter.
ConsStickiness - This is somewhat unavoidable with a balm texture. The applied areas feel sticky, and hair tends to stick to it. It's not severe, but it's slightly noticeable! Shimmer particles - Since you apply it with your fingers, it can be tricky to apply on-the-go. A lot of shimmer gets on your hands, so you need to wash them after application.
TipInstead of rubbing, gently pat the product onto your skin to avoid disturbing your makeup!

It makes your complexion look amazing and is perfect for a bare-faced look! ✨ Convenience The stick balm format is super handy! You can toss it in your bag and easily touch up throughout the day. ✨ Ingredients With no concerning or allergenic ingredients, this is a skin-friendly product you can use with peace of mind. Even those with super sensitive skin like me shouldn't worry about using it! ✨ Hydration Being a balm, it's wonderfully moisturizing, which is perfect for the approaching cooler weather. It's great for smoothing out dead skin cells too! I can see this becoming an absolute staple in my winter skincare routine.
Cons✨ Stickiness While its balm texture offers great hydration, it can feel a bit sticky. Those with oily skin might find it challenging to use.
TipTo prevent pilling after makeup application, gently pat the product onto your skin instead of rubbing it in.

First off, I love its sleek design and portability - it's perfect for tossing in my makeup bag. The finely milled shimmer particles create a natural-looking highlight that doesn't overpower but instead makes it look like I just have naturally glowing skin. Unlike some cream highlighters that can make your face look overly shiny and greasy, the Hince True Dimension Radiance Balm gives such a sophisticated glow that I find myself reaching for it often.
ConsGiven the current mask-wearing situation, there's a slight stickiness to the product. When applying it and then putting on a mask, there is a bit of transfer.

It's perfect for creating a subtle glow! The fine particles give a nice sheen rather than a sparkly effect. Being in stick form, it's also very convenient and mess-free to use!
ConsAs someone who usually prefers a matte finish and has been using powder highlighters, this was my first time trying a balm-type. Naturally, it has a slightly sticky feel due to its moisturizing properties.
TipIf you're using this as a highlighter, lightly dusting some powder over it with a brush can help reduce the stickiness!

First off, the pearl effect isn't as strong as I expected. While the Sha* product has more of a Vaseline-like glow with no pearl, the Hince one has a subtle, delicate pearl shimmer. The pearl particles aren't too large, which prevents an over-the-top look. It's just enough to add a gentle highlight to your makeup, which I really like. Also, it absorbs better than the Sha* product, so you can blend it directly on your face without causing your makeup to pill.
ConsWhile it's not an issue for my dry skin, those with oily skin might find it a bit sticky!
TipAfter applying your basic base makeup <CC+ concealer>, just dab a little of the Radiant Balm on your cheeks, chin, philtrum, and forehead. It creates a lively and natural-looking base!

The design is sleek and fits nicely in one hand, making it convenient to carry around. - It's fragrance-free, and there's nothing unusual in the ingredients, so it seems suitable for anyone to use without worry! - The texture is similar to other stick balms you see everywhere these days! It's not as soft as I expected, but being a balm, it melts upon skin contact, giving it a smooth and hydrating application. This makes it easy to apply and perfect for swiping on without any extra tools while on the go. Now for my experience after using it: - The shimmer isn't chunky, but rather subtle, allowing for a natural-looking glow as if it's your own skin! Personally, I find powder types don't give enough highlighter effect and just look layered on, while cream types can look overdone. This product, however, gave me an 'Oh wow!' moment when I applied it to my face, creating a beautifully natural effect (I was unsure when I swatched it on my wrist, but once on my face, I was really impressed). - Even though I have darker skin, it doesn't stand out too much, and the product color itself isn't flashy, making it look very natural. I love that it gives more of a dewy glow rather than an intense highlight. - During seasonal changes or winter when my skin feels tight, the balm texture feels pleasantly moisturizing when applied.
Cons- Being a balm type, it does have a slight stickiness which might be a downside for some. - Also due to its balm nature, the staying power is a bit short, which is disappointing. - It's very natural-looking, so if you're after an intense highlighter effect, this product might not be enough. - While it's hydrating, it's not suitable for applying all over the face due to the shimmer. Use it as a point makeup instead.
TipIf you like the hydration but dislike the stickiness, try applying a powder product over this balm. It enhances the effect and gives a moisturized yet powdery finish!
