Pros
1. Subtle Ginseng Aroma It has a slight presence. I liked the healthy feel, and it only lasts for a moment when applied, so it should be fine if you're not sensitive to the fragrance. 2. Formulation: Watery The previous skin I used was the Hanyul Red Rice Skin, which had a runny essence-like formulation, but this product has an essence-like watery texture. It was easy to apply lightly with my hands. 3. Ingredients Hwahae approved♡ 4. Quick Absorption As light as the formulation is, it absorbs very quickly. That's why it dries quickly after application, so it's good to apply multiple layers or use it with other products.
Cons
As it's a higher-priced product, I wanted to apply it properly, but the watery texture makes it run a lot. The thicker serum/cream formulations would allow me to apply the desired amount. And since it absorbs so quickly, it feels a bit drying for me, as I prefer using it alone. Unfortunately, I didn't feel my skin improving with this alone.

It has a very mild and gentle feel from the start. There's not much of a herbal scent.^^

This is a Hwahae Trial Reviewer review. 1. Even though this is an herbal product made with Korean red ginseng, the scent was not unpleasant. 2. The toner-like clear texture absorbs well into the skin! 3. It's not irritating and is gentle. Even though my skin has been getting weaker and more sensitive lately, there was no stinging or breakouts when using this product.

1. Although I experienced this through the Hwahae Trial Reviewer program, if I were to purchase it with my own money, I would have to think twice about the price..! 2. Personally, I found the opening of the container a bit inconvenient. The small opening was too small for me to use with a cotton pad. I wished it would dispense more generously! However, my sister, who prefers a runny texture, said the small opening was good because it didn't gush out too much. (This is likely just a matter of personal preference!)
Tip
I think this would be a great first essence to use after cleansing. I've been using it as a toner-like product - I'd dispense some onto a cotton pad and gently pat it onto my skin after cleansing. I've found that it absorbs really well and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. And the subsequent products seem to work better too, so I've been using it that way consistently!

1. Texture The texture flows down like a skin toner and it is necessary to quickly apply the appropriate amount scooped onto the palm of the hand. Thanks to this texture, it is quickly absorbed and does not feel sticky. In contrast to the fast absorption, the moisturizing effect lasts quite a long time. 2. Fragrance As it is a red ginseng product, it has a familiar red ginseng scent. Compared to other traditional herbal cosmetics, the scent is not as strong. Knowing that it is a red ginseng product, I thought the scent was almost unnoticeable, but my husband, who always applies the good cosmetics, initially reacted with 'the fragrance is a bit unusual' as he was unaware that it contained red ginseng extract. 3. 2-week usage review Due to COVID-19, I have not been going out much, so I only added the Donginbi essence to my existing skin/moisturizer routine. Comparing photos from 2 weeks ago and after 2 weeks of use, my skin's elasticity and moisture have definitely improved, unlike the dullness and dryness I felt 2 weeks ago. (I originally had large pores, many freckles, frequent breakouts, and redness, so I apologize for not providing any unflattering photos.) I'm hopeful that with continued use of the full bottle, my pores will also improve. 4. Packaging The opening where the product comes out is not too large, making it easy to dispense the right amount. My current skin type is combination and I sometimes get pimples😪 This is a review after using the essence for about 2 weeks in the morning and evening after cleansing. The best things about it are: * Improved redness I've been absorbing the essence twice a day, in the morning and evening, for almost 2 weeks. My skin shows visible capillaries and redness. The most satisfying part is that the redness has noticeably decreased and my skin looks clearer. My pores also appear cleaner. * Improved complexion With the reduced redness, my complexion looks brighter. I already had a fair complexion, but it looks more translucent now. I like first essences, and I've used a product from brand S, but I'm much more satisfied with this one. * Volume The price may seem high, but the volume is quite generous and I don't feel like I'm running out even after thoroughly absorbing it morning and evening. * Wrinkles While there were no visible wrinkles, I'm at the age where nasolabial folds and fine lines around the eyes are a concern. Applying it generously with a cotton pad makes my skin feel plumper. I consider this an antioxidant, anti-aging essence worth the investment.
