The biggest advantage is that it's a natural oil. At the end of your skincare routine, pat a few drops onto your skin to create a protective oil barrier. It's great for locking in moisture and preventing dehydration. The scent. It has a distinctive seed-like smell. Those sensitive to fragrances might find it a bit off-putting. To be honest, I found it uncomfortable too. Also, being a natural oil, its short shelf life is somewhat concerning. It's great to decant some into a small bottle to carry with you. When your hair feels dry and frizzy, apply a little to the ends for instant nourishment. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 19, 2019
Scent - Boiled pea aroma? A hint of fishiness, perhaps? Reminds me of the bean scent you'd catch at an izakaya. Application - Glides on smoothly, non-sticky with a soft, powdery finish. Absorption - Being an oil, it doesn't have that quick-absorbing feel. Moisturizing power - Excellent! Keeps the skin hydrated. Recommended skin types - Dry, Normal Volume - 20ml 1. The scent was really off-putting. It's like the smell of boiled beans, you know? Like green peas. Every time I use it, the fragrance makes me uncomfortable. However, the smell does fade after application. Still, that strange scent when applying... ( Ĭ ^ Ĭ ) 2. Even without pressing the dropper, it keeps dripping, causing me to spill a few drops on the floor regularly or leaving a drop or two on the bottle each time. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2019
My skin is combination-oily and super sensitive... I can't use most oils because they cause blemishes, but Trilogy oil is the only product that doesn't irritate my skin. After using the original, I bought this one because it's said to have more antioxidants... I think this product is even better than the original... While oil formulations don't generally suit me, this product has a lightweight texture that I can use comfortably. It's a product I use only during the dry winter months... I'm not fond of the scent... It has a distinctive aroma. You can use it on its own, but... It works well mixed with cream or foundation... For oil products, it's best to gently press them into the skin using your body heat... So, use your palms to firmly press it in while it absorbs.. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 2, 2019
I snagged this at a great price when I was in Australia, but I regret not buying more! The scent isn't overpowering, and it absorbs well after toner without feeling greasy. As someone with dry and sensitive skin, this provides long-lasting hydration compared to other products I've tried. I absolutely love it! There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. While the scent isn't strong, it has a slight cooking oil-like smell, which isn't the most pleasant. That's the only minor drawback I can think of. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 19, 2018
It's great that despite its excellent hydration, it's not sticky or heavy! The absorption is also quite fast. It's suitable for combination skin, and when applied before bed, it keeps the skin moisturized until the next morning, making makeup application smooth. I was expecting a rose scent, but it was almost unscented. I wish the volume was a bit larger too. If you mix it with your night cream before bed, you can experience an effect similar to using a mask, feeling even more hydrated. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 17, 2018
As someone who can actually use this oil, I'm giving it a perfect score subjectively. For those who can use any oil without issues, I highly recommend this without hesitation. For those with truly sensitive skin, I suggest carefully checking the ingredients and considering before purchasing. I'm the type who reacts sensitively to certain ingredients, so I've thrown away many oils after using just a drop or two, let alone half the bottle. Once, during an overseas trip, my facial skin completely flipped, possibly due to the water not agreeing with me. After returning home, I consistently used three drops of Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+ in my basic skincare routine, and after a week, my skin returned to normal. While I'm not sure if the skin recovery was due to the oil, at least the Trilogy Antioxidant+ oil didn't cause any blemishes!!! (For those with sensitive skin, nothing is more important than this T^T!) The scent has a nutty, grain-like quality that isn't overpowering, but it's quite noticeable. Some people might not like it. It's really great to mix a drop or two with your moisturizer in winter~ I found that it doesn't separate even when mixed with rich creams! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 19, 2018
This product maximizes the strengths of oils while overcoming their drawbacks. Being made with organic rosehip oil, the ingredients are trustworthy. I've heard that the antioxidant properties have been upgraded compared to traditional rosehip oils, which might be why my skin feels like it's improving. (Perhaps it's the Pygmalion effect?) Moreover, despite being an oil, it's not sticky and absorbs lightly. After application, my skin feels smoother and the deep dryness in my face has decreased. It's a product that finishes with a fresh feel, making it suitable even for summer use without feeling heavy. 1. The name is difficult... I have to search for it every time I want to find it. It would be nice if it had a nickname, or something simpler like 'Rosehip Oil Plus'. 2. Also, there's no rose scent, but I was surprised to see reviews here saying it does have a rose scent... It's either unscented or just smells like oil to me. Is my nose broken? From the packaging to the oil color, it gives off a vibe that matches well with roses. If it had a rose scent, it would have aromatherapy benefits too, but I'm one person who's against adding artificial fragrances unnecessarily. I always massage my face after applying the Rosehip Oil Antioxidant Plus. It doesn't spread as much as regular oils, so it doesn't last as long, but I use a galvanic massage device to gently work it into my skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 20, 2017
My skin is extremely dry, but when I apply this, it stays moisturized for a long time. The scent is a bit rancid, which is a bit off-putting. I suppose it's unavoidable since it's an oil. When your skin is too dry, mix it with your lotion and apply it.
