The scent isn't unpleasant at all. Clean ingredients. Wallet-friendly price. I could clearly feel my skin becoming more radiant the next day! I'll likely be singing the praises of Trilogy's Rosehip Oil from now on. Is there even a better oil out there?! It pills quite severely... When applied with incompatible products, it rolls off like dead skin cells. This usually happens when I use it with deeply hydrating essences or ampoules. So I either apply it alone or only with lightweight products. At first, I tried using it with Vichy's Hydro Ampoule hydrating essence, but it pilled terribly. Now I'm using it with a low pH ampoule, which reduces the pilling somewhat. I'm curious how others are applying it... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 22, 2017
I usually used Nuxe oil, but since it has expired, I wanted to try a different oil, and this one seemed good, so I brought it home. Among Nuxe, Kiehl's, and L'Occitane oils, Nuxe suits me the best, so I've been using it, but I wanted to try something different as well. Since I live in Australia, there are a lot of sales at pharmacies, so the price wasn't bad either. Whenever I go to Kiehl's and L'Occitane, I ask the store staff for samples of face oils that I'm interested in, and I've tested them. L'Occitane is good, but it's expensive, and I'm not sure about the effectiveness of Kiehl's. So I'll compare it to the Nuxe oil that worked well for me. The spreadability is a bit heavier compared to Nuxe. I thought it was unscented at first, but it has a slightly nutty, soy oil-like scent. However, it's not overpowering, and the scent disappears quickly, so it's not bad. The absorption seems to depend on what other cosmetics I use with it. With Nuxe, I could use it with essences or creams morning and night without any issues with my makeup. With the rosehip oil, I only recommend using it as the last step in the evening routine. If I need to apply makeup in the morning, I don't recommend it, as it can cause my makeup to slip or my cushion foundation to lift. So I recommend applying it without mixing it with other products in the evening. The moisturizing power is decent. Nuxe has been through all four seasons, and this one is just starting to be used, so I'll have to see how it goes. I don't recommend using it in the morning. Use only a small amount, otherwise it can cause your makeup to slip. I haven't seen that in a long time! The other day, I was at the pharmacy and a Chinese lady was pestering the staff, looking for her face oil. So I just went ahead and recommended an organic one that's affordable and has good ingredients. I told her it has ingredients that help you age slowly, and she was grateful and took it with her. It should be effective, right? Other than the makeup slipping issue, I don't have any major complaints about this product for my combination-sensitive skin type. If I encounter any issues, I'll update my review. This oil is a bit heavier than the Nuxe oil, so I really recommend using it as the final step in your evening routine.
