Texture - Ginger6's hand cream feels more like a hydrating gel compared to typical hand creams. You know how most hand creams tend to be quite thick? Well, this one has a relatively lighter feel, more like a hydrating gel or moisturizer. It might not come across well in photos, but those who dislike heavy hand creams will probably love this. What's really great is that it doesn't leave your hands feeling sticky after application. Scent - It has a fresh floral scent. To me, it's like a subtle blend of flower and grass scents - you know that smell when you walk into a flower shop? It's exactly like that. They call it a green floral fragrance, which seems to be trendy for hand creams these days. It's not your typical run-of-the-mill scent, and definitely not that old-fashioned cosmetic smell. I absolutely love it. It feels like a scent you'd find in expensive department store cosmetics or perfumes, as if crafted by a professional perfumer. There's really nothing to complain about. Even the price is good. Of course, some people might not like this particular scent, but that's subjective. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSep 29, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review: Absorbs: The texture is not thick, but rather a light and hydrating emulsion-type formula. Hydration: It creates a moisture barrier, leaving the skin feeling hydrated without being slippery or excessively sticky. Scent: The fragrance is a fresh floral scent. My boyfriend even noticed a slight gingery note, which is impressive considering he usually isn't very perceptive about these things. He picked up on it without knowing ginger was an ingredient. If you're sensitive to fragrances or don't enjoy spicy scents, you might want to avoid this product. The longevity doesn't seem particularly impressive, and the scent might be polarizing for some users. The second photo shows the skin before application, while the third photo demonstrates the results after applying the product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 28, 2020
⚠︎ This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. ⚠︎ Skin type: Dry + Combination ⚠︎ I tend to switch between different hand creams Application: It's not an oily or thick hand cream. It feels very moisturizing, like applying a hydrating cream. It glides on smoothly and quickly absorbs into the skin, leaving it feeling hydrated. Absorption: It absorbs extremely well. Although I tend to pat hand creams into my skin, with other creams I often feel a residue on my hands. This one doesn't require prolonged absorption, which I find very satisfying. Moisturizing effect: Unlike thicker hand creams that can feel dry quickly and require reapplication, this one keeps my hands feeling moisturized for a long time after just one application. The product description claims it deeply hydrates the skin for long-lasting moisture, and it truly delivers on that promise. Scent: Given its name 'Ginger6', I was worried about the fragrance, especially seeing 20% ginger extract in the ingredients. But surprise! It has a fresh, pleasant scent. Is it grassy? Floral? A cool woody scent? The fragrance is my favorite aspect! Packaging: Good size and grip. It's neither too long nor awkwardly small, making it convenient to carry around. The packaging design is simple yet attractive. I didn't find any particular downsides. I generally use any hand cream without issues, so I used this one comfortably. Some reviews mentioned concerns about ingredients, so those with sensitive skin might want to consider carefully before purchasing, as it's a product applied to the body. My only personal wish is that it came in a larger size, or if they could release a body emulsion with this fragrance. It might not qualify as a pro tip, but I apply hand cream to my feet and heels before bed. (I tend to use hand cream liberally, like a body lotion.) I find foot creams too heavy and oily, taking too long to absorb. I don't like getting it on my bedding, and I'm not fond of sleeping with socks on, so I generally avoid foot creams. This hand cream, however, absorbs well and quickly hydrates deep into the skin, so I occasionally use it when my feet feel dry! Given its price, I feel a bit reluctant to use it on my feet regularly, so I only apply it occasionally when I think of it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 28, 2020
As someone who religiously applies hand cream year-round, I've been contemplating switching from my summer moisturizer to something a bit richer as the weather turns colder and the wind dries out my skin. Just when I was mulling this over, the Hwahae Testers came through with the perfect solution! This cream isn't your typical lightweight formula, nor is it overly rich like butter. It has a unique, firm emulsion-like texture that I'm absolutely thrilled with! I'm not a fan of buttery scents or overly artificial fragrances, and this one strikes the perfect balance. It's not too strong, yet not completely scentless – just a pleasant, neutral aroma. Despite its rich consistency, it doesn't leave a greasy residue or fail to absorb. It truly feels like applying an emulsion, as I mentioned earlier. For those familiar with Cube:i body emulsion, imagine that texture but slightly thicker. I'm so satisfied! It's perfect for carrying in my bag. It doesn't absorb instantly. Similar to an emulsion, it feels a bit slippery at first and takes about 3-5 minutes to fully absorb into the skin. So you need to allow a little time after application. It's best to apply this preemptively, before your hands start to feel rough. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 26, 2020
The Hwahae Testers review! I'm sorry for the delay. 1. Eczema disappeared. I usually get eczema on my hands from frequent washing, except in winter. It was especially bad this time due to extra washing for COVID. But after consistently applying this, my eczema is completely gone!!! It's a miracle~ 2. Not too heavy formula It's lightweight, so I can apply it frequently without feeling burdened. Some formulas can feel too heavy, but this one doesn't. 3. Pleasant scent It's nice when a product's scent isn't polarizing, right? This has a mild, inoffensive floral scent. It's not too strong either. I think it might be a bit light for the dead of winter. I probably won't use it during the coldest months. The size is perfect for carrying in a pencil case or makeup pouch. Hand cream is a must after using hand sanitizer! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSep 25, 2020
I was intrigued to try a hand cream with fermented ingredients for the first time! It seems like a product with trustworthy ingredients. I've been using it for just over a week now and I'm really liking it. I usually dislike rich hand creams, but this one has a light texture and absorbs quickly, which I prefer over rich and oily hand creams. It's great that it doesn't leave any greasy residue on my hands and can be applied lightly. The scent is like a clean herbal/grassy fragrance, which I personally find pleasant and refreshing! I'm generally quite sensitive to scents and tend to dislike sweet or strong fragrances, but I really enjoy the subtle and clean scent of this hand cream. The hydration it provides isn't bad either! The light texture is great for the current weather, but it might not be sufficient for winter use. Also, because it's lightweight while still maintaining some moisturizing properties, it doesn't feel like it completely absorbs or evaporates. Instead, it's more like it leaves a thin coat on your hands. You can still feel that you've applied it, and it gives a slightly matte sensation. I find that applying a suitable amount right after washing your hands helps maintain that moisturized feeling for longer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 25, 2020
My hands and feet always get chapped in winter, and in severe cases, they can even become itchy. When I apply hand cream, it absorbs quickly and dries fast, indicating how extremely dry my skin is. This cream doesn't feel thick or sticky. It absorbs moisturizing, though the absorption rate seems a bit slower. There's no slippery feeling, and it's neither heavy nor suffocating. It's not too light either. After a while, it leaves my hands feeling soft and hydrated for a long time. It even adds a slight sheen, making my hands look healthy, which I'm satisfied with. During the testing period, I applied it consistently. I usually applied a small amount 2-3 times. For those with very dry skin, I recommend applying small amounts multiple times to control the quantity. At first, I applied my usual generous amount, but then I had to wait for it to absorb before using my mouse or keyboard. (Note: When I applied a large amount of other brands' products, I experienced discomfort like slipping or transferring onto my silicone phone case, but with the Ginger6 hand cream, there was minimal slipping or transfer.) When using hand cream, I pay attention to the fragrance too. This product has a strong scent, which I think could be toned down a bit. The scent is refreshing and pleasant (when I first applied it, a friend nearby said it smelled like a fresh soap scent, which they liked). While this scent is great for summer use, it doesn't seem to suit colder weather. If you dislike strong fragrances, this might be too intense for you. When there's just a tiny bit left on my hands, I like to run my fingers through my frizzy hair - it leaves a nice subtle scent. Also, applying a bit more than usual before bed has been helpful! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 25, 2020
This review comes from being selected as one of The Hwahae Testers! First off, as someone who uses hand cream 365 days a year, I was thrilled to be chosen to try this hand cream! The product's appearance is very clean with its white tone, and the fragrance is that of fresh flowers! It's not easy to find a natural floral scent that isn't artificial, so the pleasant aroma makes me reach for it more often! This isn't a thick cream for treating cracked hands, but rather a formula that's perfect for daily, casual use. The only downside is that, as with most hand creams, the quantity feels a bit small. I also wish the ingredients were even better. These days, with frequent hand washing and using hand sanitizers, our hands tend to get very dry. This cream is great to apply whenever that happens. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 24, 2020
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers! I have extremely dry hands, and since I dislike the feeling of anything on my skin, I wash them frequently, which makes them even drier. As mentioned, I'm not a fan of thick hand creams that don't absorb well and leave a residue, so I'll keep that in mind for this review. 1. Texture The texture is quite fluid. It's more of an emulsion type rather than a thick cream. As you apply it, it becomes slightly thicker, and once fully applied, it leaves a somewhat powdery finish - similar to the feeling after applying sunscreen with powder ingredients. 2. Absorption While it's very fluid and absorbs quickly, it's not like those moisturizers that lack oil and don't provide a hydrating feeling. It does become a bit thicker as you apply it, so you can feel the moisturizing effect. However, both my mother and I noticed it doesn't fully absorb and leaves a slight film on the skin. This film actually makes your hands feel less dry, but personally, I found the constant awareness of something on my hands a bit bothersome. If you're not sensitive to this, you might find it perfectly fine. Those with similar preferences to mine, please take note! Additionally, after washing my hands post-application, it didn't rinse off slickly like other products, and my hands didn't feel particularly dry afterwards, suggesting it absorbs quite well. 3. Scent Upon initial application, there's a herbal scent - like wildflowers or grass. It's probably the green floral fragrance mentioned on the product. I didn't find it bothersome, but my mother said it bothered her a bit, so it seems the scent might be polarizing. However, once fully applied, the scent becomes more neutral, almost unscented. Personally, I found the lingering film-like feeling after application a bit disappointing. It made me hesitant to use my phone or tablet immediately after applying, as it left marks on the screen. Also, the polarizing scent could perhaps be made more subtle. If the film-like feeling doesn't bother you, this product offers both good oil and moisture balance. It might work well as an overnight treatment if you apply it generously before bed and wear gloves. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 20, 2020
The Hwahae Testers review: Product: Well-packaged for shipping. The clean white design makes it convenient to carry around. Texture: Unlike typical hand creams, it's not thick. It applies clear like a moisturizer, easily spreading across your hands. It strikes a perfect balance - not too slippery, not too heavy. Absorbs well into the skin immediately, allowing you to use your hands without issue. Hydration: The hydration is quite decent. For a lightweight, clear-applying hand cream, the moisturizing effect is excellent. I'm not a fan of greasy hand creams, so I'm really satisfied with this product. Due to its texture, you can reapply without discomfort, so hydration is never an issue! Scent: I was worried about the 'ginger' scent, but it's quite pleasant. It smells exactly like herbs. It's not sweet, nor too bitter - just a nice, refreshing scent. The fragrance doesn't linger long, fading to a clean, soap-like smell. I appreciate this as I don't like when hand cream scents clash with perfume. Value for money: It seems to offer good value. The quantity is generous for the price, making it convenient for frequent application. Ingredients: While it contains some potential allergens, for a hand cream, the ingredient list is pretty good! I'm satisfied. Delivery: Delivery took a bit longer, possibly due to the courier strike. To be honest, I'm mentioning this because I couldn't find much else to critique. There weren't any notable downsides. While it's not pocket-sized, it's perfect for carrying in a bag. Smaller hand creams need frequent replacement, but this one's generous size means you can just toss it in your bag and use it for a long time. I'd recommend this to anyone who isn't primarily looking for a fragranced hand cream!
