The Hwahae Testers Review: Absorbs: The texture is not thick, but rather a light and hydrating emulsion-type formula. Hydration: It creates a moisture barrier, leaving the skin feeling hydrated without being slippery or excessively sticky. Scent: The fragrance is a fresh floral scent. My boyfriend even noticed a slight gingery note, which is impressive considering he usually isn't very perceptive about these things. He picked up on it without knowing ginger was an ingredient. If you're sensitive to fragrances or don't enjoy spicy scents, you might want to avoid this product. The longevity doesn't seem particularly impressive, and the scent might be polarizing for some users. As someone who religiously applies hand cream year-round, I've been contemplating switching from my summer moisturizer to something a bit richer as the weather turns colder and the wind dries out my skin. Just when I was mulling this over, the Hwahae Testers came through with the perfect solution! This cream isn't your typical lightweight formula, nor is it overly rich like butter. It has a unique, firm emulsion-like texture that I'm absolutely thrilled with! I'm not a fan of buttery scents or overly artificial fragrances, and this one strikes the perfect balance. It's not too strong, yet not completely scentless – just a pleasant, neutral aroma. Despite its rich consistency, it doesn't leave a greasy residue or fail to absorb. It truly feels like applying an emulsion, as I mentioned earlier. For those familiar with Cube:i body emulsion, imagine that texture but slightly thicker. I'm so satisfied! It's perfect for carrying in my bag. It doesn't absorb instantly. Similar to an emulsion, it feels a bit slippery at first and takes about 3-5 minutes to fully absorb into the skin. So you need to allow a little time after application. It's best to apply this preemptively, before your hands start to feel rough. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 25, 2020
While it squeezes out like a cream, it feels more like an emulsion when applied, so a little goes a long way. It absorbs well into the skin, leaving no heavy or suffocating feeling - just a soft, velvety finish. And above all, the fragrance is delightful! I was most concerned about the scent since it's ginger-based, but it's actually a very subtle floral aroma. It's unique and not overpowering at all. Even my friend commented on how nice it smelled as soon as I applied it! I can't really think of any downsides yet. When choosing a hand cream, I prioritize how it feels after application and how long the hydration lasts. This hand cream excels in both aspects. After applying, my hands feel light as if I hadn't used any cream, yet they're wonderfully moisturized. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 25, 2020
This review comes from being selected as one of The Hwahae Testers! First off, as someone who uses hand cream 365 days a year, I was thrilled to be chosen to try this hand cream! The product's appearance is very clean with its white tone, and the fragrance is that of fresh flowers! It's not easy to find a natural floral scent that isn't artificial, so the pleasant aroma makes me reach for it more often! This isn't a thick cream for treating cracked hands, but rather a formula that's perfect for daily, casual use. The only downside is that, as with most hand creams, the quantity feels a bit small. I also wish the ingredients were even better. These days, with frequent hand washing and using hand sanitizers, our hands tend to get very dry. This cream is great to apply whenever that happens. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 23, 2020
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. The product fits perfectly in one hand and has a very simple design. Regarding the scent, I often use hand creams as a light fragrance alternative. That's why I prioritize scent when choosing hand creams, and this one has a perfect green floral aroma. It has a grassy scent mixed with floral notes! At first, I thought it might be too strong, but after continued use, it doesn't seem that intense. Rather than being heavy, it's more of a calm green floral scent. As someone with hyperhidrosis, I absolutely can't use heavy hand creams. I thought it might have a thick texture due to the fermented butter, but perhaps because of the 8 types of hyaluronic acid, it has a very hydrating and light texture. As a result, it absorbs quickly, which is great. There's no sticky feeling either. As someone whose hands don't typically get very dry even in winter, I felt it just provided adequate hydration. Those with very dry hands might still feel some dryness after using this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 21, 2020
- Fragrance: Given the name 'Ginger', I expected a ginger scent, but surprisingly it has a lovely fresh floral aroma. It's a feminine floral scent that women will appreciate. - Texture & Application: The white emulsion-like texture spreads smoothly and easily. Unlike some hand creams that are thick and difficult to apply, this product glides on effortlessly, making application a breeze. - Moisturizing Effect: I loved the immediate dewy glow after application. Recently, I've been concerned about rough, dry skin and dead skin cells on the back of my hands, but after testing this product for two days, my skin became noticeably smoother. It seems to be about 90% improved! This cream appears to maintain hydration well. - Packaging: The simple, unisex packaging is perfect for carrying around, and the size is just right. - Absorption: It seems to take a while to absorb fully. While some may prefer a long-lasting moisturizing formula, most people I know, including myself, prefer a quick-absorbing, non-sticky, and fresh feel. Hand creams are often applied in the office, and slow absorption can lead to greasy keyboards and leaving residue on everything you touch, which isn't ideal. Those who unconsciously touch their face or hair frequently should be careful not to transfer the product! - Sticky and Oily Finish: It doesn't have a fresh, powdery finish. There's a slightly sticky, oily feeling that lingers as it slowly absorbs. However, once fully absorbed, the glow remains while the stickiness disappears. I avoided touching things while it was absorbing. It's probably better to apply this at home rather than in the office. Personally, I wish the finish was more powdery and fresh! - Generic Scent: While the brand name is unique and memorable, the overly common floral scent was a bit disappointing. I don't particularly like ginger scents, but I'm not averse to them either, so I was curious to see how they might have incorporated it. Floral scents are nice, but I think if they expressed more of the unique character implied by the 'Ginger' brand name, it could create a fan base! There are quite a few people who like ginger scents, and mixing just a hint of it with the floral notes could make for a more appealing and distinctive fragrance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2020
1. Fragrance First off, the scent is absolutely divine. It's like stepping into a real flower shop - that authentic floral aroma! I'm usually very picky about scented products as I can't stand artificial fragrances. But when I opened this, I was pleasantly surprised. The scent is so lovely that it's become my go-to hand cream! *It's a genuine flower shop scent, strong at first but gradually becomes subtly pleasant 2. Hydration It's fantastic! You know how some lightweight hand creams leave your skin feeling dry again after a while? Not this one. The hydration lasts until the next time you wash your hands! Highly recommended. *Long-lasting moisture, a small amount goes a long way 3. Finish I absolutely can't stand sticky hands, so this is a major factor when I choose hand creams. No matter how good a cream smells, if it leaves a sticky residue, I end up washing my hands again. This product doesn't do that! Initially, you feel it on your skin like any other hand cream, but soon after, you forget it's even there! 4. Price While it's not the cheapest hand cream out there, it's not exorbitantly priced either. The quantity is quite generous. You don't need to use much as it's not sticky but has a smooth, hydrating texture that easily covers your entire hands. So even though the initial cost might make you hesitate slightly, it will last you a long time! I wash my hands more frequently than most people, and I still expect this to last a while. This hand cream definitely makes me want to repurchase! *A little goes a long way - you don't need to use much for it to be effective I can't think of any downsides yet. Perhaps the only thing is that it's not super compact - it's just a standard hand cream size. As someone who works at Olive Young, I know some customers look for really small, inexpensive products. For those people, I wouldn't recommend this. Apply a small amount and spread it to the tips of your nails :) My signature perfume just ran out and I was worried, but this is filling in nicely for now! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2020
As a member of The Hwahae Testers, I'm sharing my experience after using this product: Overall impression: A fresh floral scent that transports you to a flower market, with a delightfully light texture! 1. Fragrance I was initially concerned about the ginger scent, but it's actually a pleasant botanical aroma! It's fascinating - there's a hint of ginger, but it's closer to the scent of fresh flowers. You know that smell when you visit a flower market? It's exactly that - truly lovely and comforting. If you're hesitating because of the ginger, don't worry at all. The fragrance is wonderful, and I appreciate that it doesn't linger too long. 2. Freshness The formula is light and not thick at all, leaving no stickiness or residue on your hands. It absorbs quickly and feels refreshing. You can go about your day immediately after applying! It's incredibly lightweight and invigorating, making it a mood-boosting hand cream. It moisturizes without the typical slippery or greasy feeling of creams - truly a great product! 3. Value for money This product offers excellent value! I've tried expensive, cheap, and famous hand creams, and this one really stands out for its price. It's refreshing, has a lovely scent, and provides good hydration. Considering the price, it outperforms many pricier brand-name hand creams. 4. Packaging The size is compact, yet it contains a good amount of product. The tube design is convenient and travel-friendly! It fits easily in your bag, and the tube format ensures hygienic and easy application. The packaging is spot-on. 5. Absorption & Longevity Often, quick-absorbing products lack staying power, but not this one! It absorbs rapidly, providing instant moisture without any lingering stickiness. What's more, it has excellent longevity, unlike other products that require frequent reapplication. A small amount lasts for quite a while, which is very convenient. I'm using it in summer and am very satisfied, though winter use might be different. I'll update if I find it lacking in colder weather! 1. Ingredients As a hand cream enthusiast who has tried many products, I'm a bit concerned about the ingredients. While it's less worrying for a hand product, there seem to be more potentially problematic ingredients compared to other products. I haven't experienced any blemishes or tingling sensations, but I do think there's room for improvement in terms of the formulation. The high content of ginger extract is notable, which makes the presence of some less desirable ingredients puzzling. 2. Availability The product isn't widely available. Even though I really like it and want to repurchase, it's not sold in many places, making it difficult to access easily. It would be great if it were available on Hwahae! I'm very satisfied with the product itself. While distribution is expanding, discounts are still limited, so I hope it becomes more widely available. A little goes a long way! You don't need to apply a lot of this product to get good hydration, so be mindful of how much you use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 18, 2020
I was just about to buy a hand cream when I got selected for The Hwahae Testers - I'm so happy! First off, the packaging is simple and understated. The scent is natural, which I find much better than the fruity or artificial fragrances in other products. While it's not completely non-sticky, there's only a slight tackiness. As for hydration, it's quite good - my hands feel nicely moisturized. I haven't used it enough to find any real downsides yet. If I had to pick something, I guess the packaging isn't really my style? But other than that, I'm quite satisfied! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSep 18, 2020
The moment you apply it, you're greeted with the scent of fresh flowers. It's a genuine floral fragrance that doesn't feel artificial at all. The scent is a bit strong initially, but it fades slightly after a while, so it doesn't linger too intensely. Personally, I dislike overpowering or artificial scents, so I appreciate how this one settles to a pleasant, subtle level. The texture is like an emulsion, not too thick. It's great that it doesn't feel sticky after application, yet it doesn't compromise on hydration. It leaves your skin feeling moisturized without any tackiness. This non-sticky quality makes it suitable for summer use too. As for the size, it's a bit smaller than a finger joint when placed on your palm. I love the clean, minimalist white design of the packaging. While it contains many beneficial ingredients, it's disappointing that it also includes some potential allergens. I didn't personally experience any allergic reactions, and my hands don't usually develop blemishes from cosmetics, but I can't help thinking it would be even better without these ingredients. As we approach the drier seasons, it would be a good idea to make applying this to your hands a regular part of your skincare routine.
