It's great for calming the skin and doesn't sting even when applied to areas with dermatitis. For oily skin types, it feels a bit rich. It's better suited for dry skin to use at night. This product seems to have soothing properties that work well for sensitive or irritated skin. However, its richness might not be ideal for those with oily complexions. It appears to be more beneficial for those with dry skin, especially as part of an evening skincare routine. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinMay 26, 2025
April 14, 2025 (Oily skin, Acne-prone) I use this often because it provides great hydration It seems a bit on the oily side, so I tend to use it when my skin feels dry As someone with oily, acne-prone skin, I find this product to be a double-edged sword. The moisturizing effect is fantastic, which keeps me coming back to it regularly. However, it's worth noting that the formula is quite rich, which might not be ideal for daily use if you have naturally oily skin. I've found it works best when my skin is feeling particularly dehydrated or during drier seasons. If you're looking for a deeply hydrating option and don't mind a slightly richer texture, this could be a great addition to your skincare routine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 25, 2025
As someone with oily skin who usually avoids creams, this product exceeded my expectations. Initially, the texture seemed heavy, but applying a thin layer of just a small amount left my skin feeling comfortable without any stickiness. It adhered well to my skin. Especially during seasonal changes when my oil and moisture balance is off, applying this at night made my face less shiny and more balanced the next day. It also had a gentle, soothing effect without irritation, making it suitable for my sensitive and oily skin combination. Applying too much can definitely feel overwhelming. During summer or humid weather, it might leave an oily residue, so I'd recommend using it at night rather than in the morning. I use just a small dab, warming it between my palms before gently pressing it into my skin. This method significantly reduces any rich feeling while maintaining hydration until the next morning. When my skin barrier is particularly sensitive, mixing it with a soothing ampoule or hydrating toner makes it feel lighter and absorbs even better. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2025
My redness was severe, but it improved after applying this! The deep dryness has also reduced. When I apply cushion foundation over this, it pills a bit and feels quite greasy. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 23, 2025
[Skin Type]: Oily + Sensitive + Blemish-prone (acne, hives) + Dehydrated + Can't tolerate even a bit of oiliness, feels suffocating and itchy (face only, body is fine) << Not recommended for daily skincare routine, but highly recommended for occasional use on dry, cracked areas or when skin is severely dry >> (For oily skin - based on daily skincare) - The thick texture doesn't absorb easily. It sat on top of my face, causing itchiness and a suffocating feeling. - While it's an incredibly moisturizing product, the oil content is overwhelmingly strong, leaving a greasy, shiny finish on the face. The oiliness is so dominant that you can't even appreciate the hydrating effects. (When skin is irritated, cracked, and itchy due to dryness) - In winter, when my face gets dry and flaky with visible cracks due to harsh winds, applying this product on affected areas works wonders. The next day, my skin feels incredibly moisturized. - Works great for chapped hands in winter too. Effective on any dry skin issues, whether on face or body. - I always keep it on hand as a sort of emergency treatment. - I think it would suit extremely dry skin types very well. - Too heavy for daily use on oily skin. Extremely rich texture. - However, it's okay to keep as an emergency kit for those times when your skin has a 'dryness party'. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 7, 2025
Real Barrier Extreme Cream Why I bought it: I finally purchased the Real Barrier cream, famous for its excellent hydration. While I've tried many moisturizing products, this one truly stands out. Hydrating effect: The moisturizing power is incredibly satisfying - you can trust it completely. My skin stayed hydrated for hours after application. Even when applied in the morning, my skin didn't feel tight by evening. The claim of '100-hour hydration' doesn't seem like an exaggeration. This cream alone should suffice even in the depths of winter. Texture and application: It has an opaque cream texture that looks thick on the back of your hand, but melts smoothly when applied to your face. It spreads easily without any oiliness, feeling like you're applying a cheese-like texture to your skin. After application, it absorbs quickly, leaving a fresh, hydrated feeling. In winter, I apply it thickly as a sleeping pack, while in summer, I avoid the T-zone. I've become so reliant on this cream that I take the whole jar when traveling, and when my skin feels sensitive, I skip essence and just use toner and this cream. Skin reaction: As someone with sensitive skin, I was initially worried, but it absorbed gently without irritation, actually making my skin feel more comfortable. It seems suitable for those with dry and sensitive skin. Drawbacks: It might feel heavy for oily or combination skin types due to its rich texture. As it can leave a slightly sticky feeling, it's recommended for nighttime use rather than daytime. Pro tips: Use as the final step in your skincare routine to create a moisture barrier. For intensive hydration, apply generously on dry areas as a sleeping pack. Use a small amount before makeup to create a hydrated base for your look. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 6, 2025
Incredibly rich and moisturizing. Perfect as a night cream. Too oily for daytime use. Slightly difficult to spread with fingers and leaves a bit of shine. Recommended for dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 26, 2025
It's rich and creamy. Even though I have oily skin, I've been using it for a long time. I've been using this product since before the Light version came out, and now I use both. It's truly gentle on the skin. Maybe because I have oily skin? There's a bit of richness, but it's still one of the products I'm satisfied with. I apply it thinly, both morning and night. I found that using less than expected actually works better for my skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 15, 2025
As someone with atopic dermatitis, I've been on a journey to find the right products. I've been using this one for about a year now, and I'd say it's working pretty well for me. If I had to point out a downside, it's that after some time, it tends to produce excess oil, which can make my skin feel itchy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 8, 2025
It absorbs well and provides great hydration. I love that it doesn't cause pilling when applied before makeup. In summer, it can feel a bit too rich, like there's excess oil coming through. However, I've found that using a smaller amount works well, so I use it year-round.
