When applying for The Hwahae Testers, I tend to choose products that suit my sensitive and dry skin! After researching, I found that the 'Water Glow Mask' received an excellent grade in the German derma test and was introduced by Eugene in 'Beauty and Booty Season 5' as an essential winter skincare item, which made me trust it even more. Upon receiving the product, I noticed it included a spatula, and as shown in the third photo I uploaded, there's a QR code sticker to verify the authenticity, which made me feel confident about using it. Currently, the 100ml large size is on sale for 38,000 won with a buy one get one free offer! I hope many people will take interest in this opportunity. When I used the product, I found it has a pudding-like texture that transforms into water droplets when gently rolled onto the skin, giving a cool sensation and a feeling of deep hydration! I was worried about two precautions due to my sensitive skin, but fortunately, this product didn't cause any redness or blemishes, and instead seemed to have a soothing effect. In my opinion, the product seems to have an aroma scent. Personally, I like the smell, but it might be a matter of personal preference for others. Also, it doesn't absorb quickly, leaving the skin feeling slick as if you've applied oil to your face, so please keep this in mind when considering a purchase. Apart from these two points, I had no other complaints! I'm completely satisfied with it. Apply it evenly after your skincare routine, including toner and emulsion, and let it absorb until water droplets form! Storing the product in the refrigerator can provide additional cooling and soothing effects. The precautions mention avoiding the eye area when applying, so it's good to keep that in mind. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2021
There's no worry about it leaking or breaking. The amount is generous, but the packaging is not burdensome, so it's very practical. It's not an excessive container, so the practicality is top-notch!! If you want a cream that focuses solely on essential moisture without any frills, I highly recommend giving this a try!!! The feedback around me has been great. I'll strongly recommend this for replenishing moisture!!! The moisture seems too abundant, and it takes a long time to absorb. I'm not sure whether it's better for the moisture to absorb quickly or if it's better to massage it in for a long time. So I can't really compare it to other moisturizing creams. But since it requires a lot of patting, it might be inconvenient to use this during busy times, and I may have to use other creams instead. Also, I'm not sure what the right amount to use is. If you could provide some guidance on the appropriate amount, I think I could use it more effectively. I just applied a generous amount, but I'll need to experiment with the quantity. After applying this and then putting on sunscreen, it took a little while for it to fully absorb. ^^;;; I used a face mask, then this moisturizing cream as the final step in my routine. To ensure proper absorption, it might be better to use a tool other than just your hands. And I think this moisturizing cream can be used on its own - it makes the skin feel incredibly hydrated. Don't mix it with other creams. ^^ Use it on its own to experience the full effects. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2021
First off, I was impressed that despite having two potentially irritating ingredients, it felt incredibly gentle when applied - no stinging at all! The texture was unlike anything I'd ever tried before. While I was initially skeptical, I kept using it consistently. Before I knew it, the tightness and dryness I usually feel after cleansing had disappeared. The biggest plus for me, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, is that it doesn't feel oily at all. It's truly just pure hydration, which I love! The unique texture - cream that transforms into water when you rub it in - takes some getting used to. I often wondered if I was applying it correctly. If you don't pat it in quickly enough after it turns to water, it can actually drip off your face, which made me question if it was really absorbing or just sitting on the surface. The texture is also more slippery than other creams, causing me to accidentally drop it a couple of times when using the spoon applicator. I think a pump bottle would be more practical. While it feels wonderfully moisturizing right after application, once it dries, I find I need to mix it with another emulsion for sufficient hydration, which is a bit inconvenient. For those who find it bothersome to pat in the product quickly due to its water-like texture, try mixing it with a regular emulsion. That's what I do, and it helps me achieve both hydration and moisture balance. It's a great way to make the most of this product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 15, 2021
The combination of hydration and a slightly rich feel is surprisingly pleasant. There's absolutely no burning sensation, and it feels gentle on the skin. The application is smooth, and with consistent use, my skin feels soft and has a beautiful glow. I usually dislike heavy, sticky products, but this one is just right. It provides intense hydration without feeling greasy. The scent is quite nice too - a fresh, plant-like aroma that feels natural. It might be great for those sensitive to fragrances (though opinions seem to vary, I absolutely love it). The way water droplets form when applying is fascinating! It also gives a cooling effect, which I really appreciate since I'm not a fan of products that cause a warming sensation. I mainly use it before bed, and its silky texture makes it perfect for a quick facial massage after application. It's a bit rich, so you need to wash your hands with soap after applying. It doesn't seem suitable for use under makeup, so it's best used before bed. It takes a little while for the water droplets to fully absorb. The texture is somewhat thin, so if you're looking for intense hydration, you might need to use additional products. After applying, gently massage your face until the water droplets are fully absorbed. You can even give your facial features a nice massage as the product's silky texture works well for this. It's better as a nightly treatment rather than a pre-makeup step in your daily routine. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2021
Before the review: 1. The 2nd photo shows my skin before use (day 1), and the 3rd photo is after 3 days of using the product. My complexion looks different in the 2nd photo because it was taken right after cleansing, but you can tell it's the same skin by looking at the blemishes and scars. No editing was done! 2. The blemishes in the photos are due to mask-wearing and unknown causes, not the product! I had breakouts on my body too, and signs of them appeared even before using this. Packaging: It's a 100ml product that fits in your hand. There's a stick inside the box for hygienic application. The top lid twists open, revealing a smaller lid with a handle. It can be a bit tricky to close as the product can slightly ooze out, but it's not a big deal - I just wiped it and applied it to my neck. Product: Application - Great! It's a cream with a watery consistency that's neither too runny nor too thick. Absorption - It takes a while to absorb, probably due to its high moisture content. I even applied the excess on my hands to my body. Those who apply makeup in the morning should be careful! Hydration - Immediately after application, water droplets form and your face becomes shiny - not from oil, but from moisture (see photo 3)! As I have combination dehydrated skin, oil and moisture balance is crucial, and this product did a great job of providing hydration. I was amazed when I applied it generously like a sleeping pack one night, and even after spending the next day in the dry department store, my skin wasn't dry at all. Even though I was wearing a mask, my forehead (I don't have bangs) was fine. While my eyes were crying for moisture, my skin was okay. Also, after getting blackhead treatment, my nose suddenly became dry due to an imbalance in oil and moisture. Other products didn't help, so during the holiday, I kept applying this generously throughout the day and before bed. The next day, it was much better. The hydration is really good! Especially in winter when my skin tends to be dry, it deeply moisturizes without any tightness. I'm concerned about two ingredients. And the slow absorption? But that's unavoidable due to the product's characteristics, so just the two ingredients are a bit worrying. Also, I'm not sure if it's because my skin has been acting up recently, but I noticed some acne caused by sebum buildup in areas not shown in the photos, apart from the pustular acne. Since I have sensitive skin, I can't be certain if it's due to the product or just my skin being generally problematic. If possible, I'll continue using it and come back to leave another review after a month! While it's not a heavy type, applying makeup immediately after use is a big no-no. Everything will pill! I absent-mindedly applied it to areas prone to pilling and then put on foundation, and was shocked. However, when I applied it generously like a pack the night before, there was still enough moisture the next morning, which was nice! - Hwahae UserOily SkinFeb 10, 2021
💙Honest review after using💙 * Skin type: Typical combination dehydrated skin! Extremely oily but lacking moisture 1. Hydration: As someone with extremely oily skin who can't use oils at all, I was worried when I first tried this product, but it was a game-changer! You can really feel the moisture being locked in, but there's hardly any oiliness, making it perfect for combination dehydrated skin. 2. Gentleness: Looking at the ingredients, aside from fragrance, most are gentle moisturizing components. Despite my oily yet sensitive skin that usually reacts slightly to new products, this one didn't cause any issues. It's truly gentle. 3. Unique texture: The jelly-like texture that feels like softened gelatin made it fun to use every time (a personal plus for me) 1. The scent..! I don't mind fragrances in skincare and actually prefer pleasant scents, but this has a medicinal smell..? It was quite surprising when I first opened it. Definitely not a fan... 2. Absorption: While it provides good hydration after application, it takes longer to absorb compared to other products. It does eventually sink in if you leave it, but the absorption rate seems lower than other creams I've tried. 3. Jar packaging: Personally, I find jar packaging with spatulas inconvenient for creams. It would be great if it came in a tube as well I personally found it gentle and non-greasy, so I could apply a generous amount without it feeling heavy. If you slather it on before bed and get a good night's sleep, you'll wake up with glowing skin✨ I was skeptical at first since I hadn't heard of this product before, but I'm 100% going to repurchase! However, I really wish they would reformulate the scent... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 9, 2021
Absorbs well: Since it's a mask, it feels like it's applied on the surface. So I'm not sure about how well it absorbs into the skin. What I liked about using this mask is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry, which is perfect for its intended use. Unlike other moisturizers, there's no oily residue when I wake up the next morning. It really helps control excess oil. And after applying, my skin becomes incredibly smooth - I'm not exaggerating, it feels super soft! It's a bit disappointing that it feels like it's coating the skin. Perhaps because of this, the water droplets don't seem to absorb well. I have blemish-prone skin, and it seems to make my blemishes flare up a bit, which is unfortunate. The scent is like a cool men's cologne, but I think it would be better if it were fragrance-free. Also, the oily residue on the container makes me feel a bit uneasy. I think it would be great to keep it in the fridge and use it cool! Also, I applied it as a finishing step after my mask routine, and I really like this combination. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 7, 2021
The Hwahae Testers' Review Texture: Bouncy collagen cream (jiggles like pudding when shaken) Application: Glides on smoothly with a moisturizing feel Hydration: High, with a pleasant cooling effect Scent: Unidentifiable but pleasant (no lingering smell after application) Quantity: 100ml (generous amount for liberal application) Unique Point 1: Forms small water droplets upon application. (As someone with super sensitive skin, I initially found it a bit ticklish, but this sensation disappeared with continued use. My skin seems to have adapted.) Unique Point 2: Takes a bit longer to absorb. (Possibly due to high moisture content, it forms tiny dewdrops on the face, which seems to extend the absorption time.) Why I recommend it: 1) The incredible hydration dramatically improves skin texture. Topical collagen seems more effective than supplements for smoothing skin. It's a joy to wash my face in the morning - so soft! It also seems to help with post-acne pigmentation, making it a good option for soothing the skin. (Note: While it calms inflamed acne, it doesn't seem to eliminate pustules.) 2) Noticeably reduces pores. While it doesn't completely eliminate blackheads, they appear less noticeable. I haven't tried wearing makeup with this product due to mask-wearing. For those who do wear makeup, I'd suggest skipping this in the morning routine unless you have time to wait for absorption. If you can wait, it's worth it for the smoothing effect! As a side note, I'm on prescription skincare that was causing dryness, but with this product, I didn't feel dry even late into the evening. (Except when directly exposed to heater air - but that would dry out your skin regardless of what you use. Moving away from the heater solved this issue.) I've given it 4 stars because of the initial tickling sensation when the water droplets form. This has lessened over time. Apart from that, I recommend it for improving skin texture. I'm just not sure why those water droplets form in the first place. Those with super sensitive skin might experience a tickling sensation when the water droplets form. It takes a while to fully absorb. (As someone with oily skin who prefers quick-absorbing, fresh-feeling products, this feels slower compared to others. It's not like it takes an hour or anything, just relatively longer. Once absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling great.) When you notice the water droplets forming after applying this product, it might be beneficial to gently pat them in with the warmth of your hands. However, as I prefer not to touch my face, I'd suggest using whatever method you're comfortable with. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 4, 2021
Absorbs well: The pudding-like texture spreads smoothly when massaged with hands, creating water droplets that are quickly absorbed into the skin. The herbal scent is incredibly soothing, and there's a cooling effect that gives a calming sensation! It creates a dewy skin look and instantly makes your complexion appear clearer. The absorption is slow, so you might want to consider this product carefully if you're planning to apply makeup soon after or if you don't like a sticky feeling. It has great absorption, and if you use it with gua sha, the texture is absolutely perfect! I tried to upload a video demonstration, but unfortunately, it didn't work. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 14, 2021
The dewy, water-glow feeling is amazing, and it's fascinating to see the water droplets form! I love how it feels lightweight yet deeply hydrating. I'm not sure if it absorbs well after the water droplets form. When applied thickly, it just sits on the skin like a sleeping mask. I use it generously as a sleeping mask before bed.
