<The Hwahae Testers> I'll keep it simple and focus on the key points! 1. Scent First off, the fragrance is pleasant. I'm quite sensitive to scents, but this one isn't overwhelming at all and is very wearable. 2. Application It's excellent. The cream applies incredibly smoothly and seems to absorb well. I could apply it without any irritation to my skin. 3. Hydration I have extremely dry skin, bordering on severely dry. This product is truly moisturizing. After application, if you gently rub your skin, you'll notice little water droplets forming. It leaves your skin so hydrated that you might not need to apply anything else afterward. (My routine: I cleanse my face with oil cleanser followed by foam cleanser, then use a toner to calm my skin before applying this product) 4. Absorption It seems that if you apply too much, it doesn't absorb as well. I recommend exfoliating and applying a small amount. As someone with sensitive skin, I felt a slight burning sensation and tingling. Other than that, it was very good. I would recommend this product to those who don't have sensitive skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2021
First off, the ingredients! Since I started using Hwahae, I've become wary of products with poor ingredients. While it's a bit disappointing that fragrance is included, overall the ingredient list is quite good. The absorbs well is pleasantly hydrating too. My routine is to apply toner, then this, followed by a cream. It's like pushing in hydration first, then sealing it in! It feels rich when you apply it, but it absorbs quickly, leaving your skin feeling smooth. The scent is a bit disappointing - it's somewhat artificial and might be polarizing. The instructions say to spread it until water droplets form, but you need more than the recommended amount for that to happen. I'm not sure what effect the water droplets are supposed to have, but you need to apply it generously for them to appear. Also, when I first opened it, product came out even though I only twisted the outer cap. It didn't leak, but I'm still puzzled why this happened. It's inconvenient because you have to wash or wipe your hands after applying, otherwise it leaves a shiny residue everywhere. Although it's supposed to be good for hydration overall, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I didn't see outstanding moisturizing effects, which is disappointing. I'm the type who just uses products as long as they don't cause blemishes, so this one is just okay for me. I usually don't like applying too many products on my face as it can cause pimples and feels heavy, so I typically just use toner and cream. However, this product alone feels too light. The instructions say to use it as the last step in skincare, but after experimenting, I found it works better for me when applied earlier. When I used it last, it seemed to coat the skin, but after a while, though it didn't feel tight, my skin looked a bit dry. So now I apply toner, then this product, and once it's absorbed a bit, I layer on a moisturizing cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2021
The main ingredients being collagen and hyaluronic acid really made this mask incredibly hydrating! I've always loved hand creams that create water droplets when applied, so having a sheet mask do the same was a total win for me...!! It absorbs surprisingly lightly while still providing deep hydration, so I've been using it consistently with great results! Perhaps due to the collagen, the case and exterior were a bit slippery, which was slightly inconvenient. Also, I wish there had been a spatula on top of the protective seal for the contents. That's the only downside I found. I found that applying multiple thin layers improved the absorption even more!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2021
❕It applies with a hydrating feel but finishes with a moisturizing effect, so I felt this one product was enough to complete my skincare routine without any lack! ❕There's almost no stickiness and it finishes with a fresh feel, so I didn't have to worry about dust clinging to my skin while sleeping. ❕The water-drop formula definitely makes it feel super hydrating. ❕After just one application, you can definitely feel your skin improving! ❕I liked that the packaging isn't flashy but simple. ❕It seems to have a bit more product than other creams! ❕If you don't control the amount well, it can feel a bit rich. ❕It's a fresh kind of richness... There's no stickiness, but it feels like your skin is coated with oil on top of the hydration. ❕I wondered why there was a spatula, because when using my hands, it doesn't seem to apply well? But using the spatula was much better. However, there's nowhere to put it, so it feels unhygienic. I just use my hands though. ❕The scent might be hit or miss for some people. It smells like natural ointment? ❕It takes a bit of time to absorb! But since you can finish your skincare routine with just this one product, overall it doesn't seem to take that long. If you apply it a bit thickly before bed, you can feel your skin has improved the next morning! It might be worth trying for those with deep pockets, but personally, I wouldn't spend my own money on it again. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 15, 2021
This moisturizer, famous for being the 'Penthouse Eugene Cream', has an incredibly smooth application. As soon as you start rolling it on, it's like water droplets are cascading down your face - the hydration is that good. It's truly a hydration bomb, as they say. For combination dehydrated skin, it seems to lack a bit in terms of long-lasting moisture. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 15, 2021
The combination of hydration and a slightly rich feel is surprisingly pleasant. There's absolutely no burning sensation, and it feels gentle on the skin. The application is smooth, and with consistent use, my skin feels soft and has a beautiful glow. I usually dislike heavy, sticky products, but this one is just right. It provides intense hydration without feeling greasy. The scent is quite nice too - a fresh, plant-like aroma that feels natural. It might be great for those sensitive to fragrances (though opinions seem to vary, I absolutely love it). The way water droplets form when applying is fascinating! It also gives a cooling effect, which I really appreciate since I'm not a fan of products that cause a warming sensation. I mainly use it before bed, and its silky texture makes it perfect for a quick facial massage after application. It's a bit rich, so you need to wash your hands with soap after applying. It doesn't seem suitable for use under makeup, so it's best used before bed. It takes a little while for the water droplets to fully absorb. The texture is somewhat thin, so if you're looking for intense hydration, you might need to use additional products. After applying, gently massage your face until the water droplets are fully absorbed. You can even give your facial features a nice massage as the product's silky texture works well for this. It's better as a nightly treatment rather than a pre-makeup step in your daily routine. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 15, 2021
As I applied it, water droplets formed, providing deep hydration like an essence. The smooth texture allowed for easy reapplication. The moisture lingered, not in a slippery way, but absorbing well, making my skin feel plump. Being a water-drop cream, it had great absorption and kept my dry skin moisturized throughout the day. The scent was a bit disappointing. It had a strong minty fragrance every time I applied it, which gave a cooling sensation but might be polarizing due to its intensity. Pro tip: Use the spatula provided to apply a small amount to the back of your hand. Let it form water droplets, then pat it onto your skin. This way, you can use it like an essence without any greasy feeling! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2021
First off, I apologize for only using the product twice after winning it in an event, as I found out I was pregnant. The packaging was neat, and the case had a unique opening - it was sealed like a vitamin bottle. The ingredients were safe for pregnant women, so I could use it without worry. I did a patch test just in case, and there were no blemishes. The texture feels like an ointment, and it applies and feels great! It goes on smoothly, and after the hydration sets in, it leaves a primer-like matte finish. It doesn't leave a shine or stick to the skin, and it made my skin feel soft. It's rich in hydration, so it would be great for dry, stretched skin. I loved that it came with a spatula, making it hygienic to use without worrying about contamination from hands. The scent is similar to medicinal ointments or creams, which unfortunately prevented me from using it consistently. (I became sensitive to smells due to morning sickness.) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2021
The Hwahae Testers' Review Texture: It's like a cream with incredibly concentrated hydration? Almost gel-like! Scent: There's a subtle fragrance, not headache-inducing, but familiar... It's barely noticeable after application! Application: As you can see in the photo, it forms water droplets, spreading smoothly and moisturizing well! Cooling effect: My skin often experiences a burning sensation, so I applied this whenever it happened, and it calmed quickly! That's how good the cooling effect is! (I kept it in the refrigerator) Quantity: There's plenty, so I'm generously applying it when my skin feels dry or after washing my face Post-Use Review: I've been using it consistently every day since receiving the product, and my skin feels less dry and more refined. It looks and feels much better to the touch! The best results came after using a face mask!!!! While experiences may vary, I applied this after letting the mask essence absorb, and wow, the effects were amazing! I usually run hot, so the hydration from masks doesn't last long, but with this product, the moisture lasted longer, and even when I woke up, my skin condition was fantastic! Personally, I found it a bit disappointing that it feels like a film forms on the skin before it's fully moisturized, so I'd recommend applying toner or essence before this product! After application, it feels like there's a film on the skin, giving a powdery finish? Those who dislike this sensation might not enjoy it! Do NOT apply a thick layer all at once - it's a disaster! Instead, apply small amounts multiple times. When applying, pat it in instead of spreading it like a cream! It's even better if you keep it in the refrigerator and apply it cool! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 7, 2021
The Hwahae Testers' Review Texture: Bouncy collagen cream (jiggles like pudding when shaken) Application: Glides on smoothly with a moisturizing feel Hydration: High, with a pleasant cooling effect Scent: Unidentifiable but pleasant (no lingering smell after application) Quantity: 100ml (generous amount for liberal application) Unique Point 1: Forms small water droplets upon application. (As someone with super sensitive skin, I initially found it a bit ticklish, but this sensation disappeared with continued use. My skin seems to have adapted.) Unique Point 2: Takes a bit longer to absorb. (Possibly due to high moisture content, it forms tiny dewdrops on the face, which seems to extend the absorption time.) Why I recommend it: 1) The incredible hydration dramatically improves skin texture. Topical collagen seems more effective than supplements for smoothing skin. It's a joy to wash my face in the morning - so soft! It also seems to help with post-acne pigmentation, making it a good option for soothing the skin. (Note: While it calms inflamed acne, it doesn't seem to eliminate pustules.) 2) Noticeably reduces pores. While it doesn't completely eliminate blackheads, they appear less noticeable. I haven't tried wearing makeup with this product due to mask-wearing. For those who do wear makeup, I'd suggest skipping this in the morning routine unless you have time to wait for absorption. If you can wait, it's worth it for the smoothing effect! As a side note, I'm on prescription skincare that was causing dryness, but with this product, I didn't feel dry even late into the evening. (Except when directly exposed to heater air - but that would dry out your skin regardless of what you use. Moving away from the heater solved this issue.) I've given it 4 stars because of the initial tickling sensation when the water droplets form. This has lessened over time. Apart from that, I recommend it for improving skin texture. I'm just not sure why those water droplets form in the first place. Those with super sensitive skin might experience a tickling sensation when the water droplets form. It takes a while to fully absorb. (As someone with oily skin who prefers quick-absorbing, fresh-feeling products, this feels slower compared to others. It's not like it takes an hour or anything, just relatively longer. Once absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling great.) When you notice the water droplets forming after applying this product, it might be beneficial to gently pat them in with the warmth of your hands. However, as I prefer not to touch my face, I'd suggest using whatever method you're comfortable with.
