  I decided to repurchase this product as I used to love it. Back then, there was a popular 'mochi toner' that was similar yet different to the Rice Smooth toner. When I asked about the difference at an offline store, they told me the Rice Smooth toner had a lighter texture. Since I planned on layering it multiple times, I chose the Rice Smooth toner. It's not heavy even when reapplied, and I managed to finish the entire 500ml bottle...! It seems to have a slight lemon scent, which I absolutely adore. I love citrus fragrances in cosmetics, so this was a big plus for me! I heard it contains rice extract, which might explain why there's a cloudy layer that forms on top when it's left undisturbed for a while. Just give it a good shake before use, and you're good to go!

  While I used to love this product, I started getting blemishes when I tried using it again! I'm not sure if it's because of this product, but I've switched to a different toner just in case... Also, because it comes in such a large bottle, it can be a bit inconvenient to use unless you decant it into a smaller container!

  The generous amount is perfect for toner masking. The affordable price makes it great for liberal use!

  Unfortunately, it seems the fermented ingredients don't agree with my skin, causing blemishes.

  Pros

  I loved using the Mochi Toner as it rarely caused blemishes and was great for daily use, so I was curious about this version and bought it. Please note that while I'm writing this review now, I used the Mochi Toner back in 2019. I purchased this one in 2020 and I believe I opened it in early summer (around May-June). The texture is lighter than the Mochi Toner, making it even better for use with cotton pads as a toner. Although it didn't suit my skin and was almost thrown away, I found another use for it - check out my tip below!

  Cons

  Unfortunately, this version didn't seem to agree with my skin and caused small blemishes to appear. At that time, my skin was going through cycles of improving and then breaking out again, so I immediately stopped using it on my face.

  Tip

  After using it only a few times, I didn't want to waste it. Since summer was approaching, I decided to use it on my body. I applied it to my elbows, knees, ankles, and other dry areas, adding an emulsion for extra moisture. Surprisingly, it worked quite well on my body! I even transferred it to a spray bottle for easy application on my back and other areas. When the weather turned cold and dry, this toner alone wasn't enough. That's when I added jojoba oil to the mix - just shake well before spraying for an effortless way to hydrate your body! As you can see in the photo, I've almost used it all up. It's so convenient for those hard-to-reach areas where applying cream can be a hassle. Just spray generously whenever you need a moisture boost!

  There's nothing good to say... It's just cheap, I guess? That's about it.

  Cons

  Blemishes erupted all over my face... I'm so frustrated! Just in case, I stopped using it and things calmed down, but when I tried it again, the blemishes got even worse.

  Just buy the Mocchi Toner instead...

  Pros

  As someone with sensitive skin, this was surprisingly gentle. Great value for money, and its light texture feels refreshing.

  Cons

  I bought this today and used it for the first time. My chin started itching almost immediately. At first, it was just a slight tingle, so I didn't think much of it. But a few minutes after finishing my routine, the itching became intense and I started developing bumps. I've used the Mochi Toner without issues before, so I thought I'd try the Silky Toner this time, but it looks like I'll have to switch back. I'm dreading waking up tomorrow, as my skin tends to react badly once it's irritated, and it's hard to calm it down.

  While it has some positives, for me the negatives outweighed them. After using this toner, my skin became irritated and I experienced more blemishes. It doesn't seem to suit my skin type, unfortunately.

  Pros

  I tried my sister's last summer and liked it, so I ordered my own this time. When used as an exfoliating toner after cleansing, it leaves my skin feeling smooth without any slippery residue. I think it would be great for use during the hot seasons.

  Cons

  It was fine for the first couple of uses, but about a week in, I did a sheet mask and felt a stinging sensation. After that, I started getting small bumps on my face. I'm prone to these, so I didn't think it was the toner and kept using it. Around day 10, my skin became itchy and I got temporary hives. Since the toner was the only thing I changed, I stopped using it and the issues went away. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately it didn't work out for me.

  Tip

  It's good value for money and comes in a large size at a low price, so you can use it generously. The formula is great as an exfoliating toner for the hot seasons.
