ConsSomething didn't agree with my skin - it became red and the tingling sensation intensified, forcing me to stop using it after just two weeks. Checking the ingredients on Hwahae, I noticed some potential allergens, so I suspect I had an allergic reaction

Since I've been using the Mochi Toner for so long, the clear toner felt a bit strange at first. The texture is less viscous than the Mochi Toner, but it still has a slight thickness when it drops onto your palm. It's almost water-like, but if I had to compare, it's more like an essence. I even left the cap open for 20 seconds, and it didn't drip - it just clung to the opening. After purchasing, I checked Hwahae and noticed some new potential allergens that weren't there before. The renewed version seems to have changed ingredients, which worried me a bit. I prefer very gentle products as my skin has been acting up lately, plus I have atopic dermatitis. Recently, my skin has been itchy all over, which is unusual. On the bright side, the main difference from the Mochi Toner is that this one makes my skin feel smoother! I'm not sure about the benefits of smoother skin yet, but it definitely feels that way. I personally prefer a more elastic feel, though. I always use this toner along with a clay mask and an exfoliating toner, as one application doesn't feel quite enough. Sometimes I even do a toner mask. I've included a tip for toner masks too!
ConsI'm not sure if it's because my skin is sensitive right now, but every time I use this, the area around my eyes and mouth stings. My lips were constantly itchy, and today I noticed they were quite swollen. If it's because of the toner, I'll update my review. I remember the pre-renewal version didn't have any allergens, so it's disappointing that this one does. I've used over 7 bottles of the Mochi Toner, and I know it can feel a bit oily in summer, so I thought I'd try this Inner Glow Toner. Previously, my satisfaction was 5 stars, but with this one, I'm not particularly satisfied so far. It feels much less impressive than the Mochi Toner. This alone isn't enough for skincare, and it stings every time I apply it. Even if I layer it 7 times, my skin quickly feels dry. The hydration isn't great either. I'm not sure if this toner is causing more hives or if it's something else, but my lips are itchy and swollen. This is a rare occurrence for me. This toner seems particularly stinging. The emulsion and cream don't sting as much. I'll know for sure once my skin calms down. My whole face is itchy and stinging. My skin type has changed a lot since COVID, but this is the worst it's ever been. I didn't think my skin was this sensitive. I'm so upset, hence all the sad faces...
TipIf I had to recommend the best way to use this, I'd suggest a toner mask! I've slept with it on, and it's when I felt the most hydrated. I use thin cotton pads from Daiso that are great for toner masks - they come in a plastic container with dual pink and white cotton pads. Once again, I highly recommend the Mochi Toner! It feels like you haven't applied anything, so I tend to use it up quickly. I've repurchased the Mochi Toner, but the toner mask method is effective with this one too. This is just my personal opinion.

The container is well-sealed, so it should stay fresh until use (it's like a plastic bottle for vinegar or soy sauce).
ConsMy skin is super sensitive around the nose area, and this product stings quite a bit there, so I use something else on that part. I wouldn't recommend it for those with sensitive skin, especially on areas with exfoliated dead skin cells or after extracting sebum from pores.
TipIt works great as a mask when applied with a cotton pad.

It's a truly hydrating water-based formula that feels amazing the moment it touches your skin. It's that kind of texture that just feels so good. But besides the texture... well, please check below for more details.
ConsI don't usually leave reviews, but... I guess I didn't realize I had super sensitive skin. I used to use the Mochi Toner, but I switched to this one because of its texture. On the first day I applied it, it felt so nice on my skin - I hadn't used a water-based formula in so long. I thought I'd found my new go-to product, but by the third layer, my skin started to tingle. I never experienced any irritation with the Mochi Toner, so I was pretty sure it was this product. I decided to give it a chance, thinking my skin might just need time to adjust. I thought it would be fine after a day or so. But the next day and the day after, it still tingled. By the third day, I could feel my skin heating up even when I wasn't using the product - just like how your face feels after getting sunburned. I kept wondering why this was happening. On the fifth day, after cleansing and applying it, I noticed small bumps appearing around my nose and butterfly zone, and my face turned red and felt hot. Looking at other reviews, it seems quite a few people experienced tingling or small blemishes. So I think I'm in that group and I'm planning to stop using it. The ingredients seem good and it works well for some people, but if you have super sensitive skin, please be cautious before purchasing.

When used as an exfoliating toner after cleansing, it leaves my skin feeling smooth without any slippery residue. I think it would be great for use during the hot seasons.
ConsIt was fine for the first couple of uses, but about a week in, I did a sheet mask and felt a stinging sensation. After that, I started getting small bumps on my face. I'm prone to these, so I didn't think it was the toner and kept using it. Around day 10, my skin became itchy and I got temporary hives. Since the toner was the only thing I changed, I stopped using it and the issues went away. I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately it didn't work out for me.
TipIt's good value for money and comes in a large size at a low price, so you can use it generously. The formula is great as an exfoliating toner for the hot seasons.

Love it! The large size makes it great value for money. Thumbs up! When you use it as a skin pack on blemishes, it has an excellent soothing effect.
ConsVery occasionally, I felt a slight tingling sensation when applying it. But that's probably just because my skin is super sensitive...

Its watery texture without stickiness made it comfortable to apply other products afterwards.
ConsLike the mochi toner, this product also has a citrus scent. For some reason, citrus fragrances make me worry they might be harsh on my skin. I actually experienced some tingling after using this product, which makes me wonder if it's the cause.
TipWhile the citrus scent makes me hesitant to repurchase, I plan to use up the product I've already bought.

It offers good value with a generous amount for the price. It's excellent for both wiping off makeup and as part of a multi-step hydration routine. The lightweight, water-like texture doesn't burden the skin at all.
ConsIt might sting a bit when used on dry skin. The screw-top lid can be a hassle when you're in a rush - sometimes you might not close it properly. If you find twist-cap products inconvenient, keep this in mind!
TipI use this toner to cleanse, then follow up with three layers of it. (Personally, I don't have the patience for a full seven-layer routine...) Don't be shy with it! The 500ml bottle seems to last forever!

It's my first time trying an exfoliating toner method, and even though my skin looked clean, yellow impurities still came off. I usually dislike how sticky toners or skin lotions feel, but this one doesn't have that issue, which I appreciate.
ConsMy skin might be quite sensitive as I feel a slight tingling sensation. It's best to avoid using it on areas with atopic dermatitis, as those areas tend to sting more than others. There's a bit of deep dryness, so I tend to apply a separate cream to my U-zone.

With a beast-sized 500ml bottle at a cheap price, plus frequent sales, it's unbeatable value-wise. I was impressed by the great ingredients too, so I used it with delight.
ConsI thought skincare blemishes were a myth until they finally happened to me after using this toner. People kept recommending the 'mochi toner' with rave reviews, but I dislike runny textures, so I opted for the smooth version. There was a slight tingling when I first applied it, but ignoring that was my downfall. After using it morning and night, doing the 3-skin method and even toner masking for about two days, blemishes started popping up. Realizing something was off, I stopped using it since it was the only new product. Thankfully, no new issues appeared after discontinuing use. This stressed me out for a while but also made me pay more attention to ingredients. It really drove home that what works for others might not work for me. Skincare is truly case-by-case, and whether it's skincare or base makeup, finding what suits you is more important than following popular recommendations. Reviews should be taken as reference, not absolute truth. I learned my lesson for being careless and going all out from day one with morning and night routines plus toner masking - talk about overdoing it!
TipSurprisingly, quite a few people find the smooth toner irritating, so if you have sensitive skin, I recommend carefully checking the ingredients and patch testing before use.
