  During skincare, gently patting it in 2-3 times helps absorb the product, tackling deep dryness and visibly smoothing skin texture! It's not too heavy or irritating, which is great, and there's plenty of product. Using it as a skin pack before makeup reduces skin heat and adds hydration, making your makeup apply even better.

  Cons

  I'm not sure if it's been recently reformulated, but I noticed the fragrance has become subtly stronger. As someone with super sensitive skin, especially to scents, I found this aspect a bit disappointing.

  I decided to repurchase this product as I used to love it. Back then, there was a popular 'mochi toner' that was similar yet different to the Rice Smooth toner. When I asked about the difference at an offline store, they told me the Rice Smooth toner had a lighter texture. Since I planned on layering it multiple times, I chose the Rice Smooth toner. It's not heavy even when reapplied, and I managed to finish the entire 500ml bottle...! It seems to have a slight lemon scent, which I absolutely adore. I love citrus fragrances in cosmetics, so this was a big plus for me! I heard it contains rice extract, which might explain why there's a cloudy layer that forms on top when it's left undisturbed for a while. Just give it a good shake before use, and you're good to go!

  While I used to love this product, I started getting blemishes when I tried using it again! I'm not sure if it's because of this product, but I've switched to a different toner just in case... Also, because it comes in such a large bottle, it can be a bit inconvenient to use unless you decant it into a smaller container!

  The value for money is truly amazing!! 500ml for just 11,900 won - the generous amount means you can use it liberally. I love that! As a water-based toner, it absorbs well into the skin without any sticky feeling. After it's absorbed, there's no oily residue or any sensation of something left on the skin, which I found really satisfying. The product description claims it makes your skin as soft and moist as inner flesh, and it really does make your skin feel softer. When you apply it to your face, it becomes smoother and more hydrated - it's fantastic! I do the '3-skin method', so I might notice the effects more, but it's so good that I think everyone should give it a try.

  Cons

  Are there any downsides? Well, if I had to nitpick... The text is printed directly on the bottle. I wish they'd use a sticker instead, making it easier to recycle. But that's just my personal preference!

  I use this product as an exfoliating toner. I had heard that TonyMoly's Mocchi Toner was popular, but I wanted something a bit more refreshing, so I chose the Sokkal Maegeun Toner. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, and after using this product, I really felt like my skin became smoother and deeply hydrated! The scent is also not irritating, and it's somehow familiar, though it's hard to describe. I'd recommend this to those with combination dehydrated skin or oily skin lacking moisture.

  Cons

  There's nothing particularly bad about it. The price is reasonable and the quantity is good too!

  Tip

  Since the formula is quite thin, use it as an exfoliating toner by soaking a cotton pad generously and wiping your face. If you're feeling lazy about doing a mask, you can also soak cotton pads thoroughly and place them on your forehead, cheeks, and chin for a quick treatment.

  I've used the Mochi Toner over 8 bottles, and this summer I decided to try the Inner Glow Toner for the first time! Since I've been using the Mochi Toner for so long, the clear toner felt a bit strange at first. The texture is less viscous than the Mochi Toner, but it still has a slight thickness when it drops onto your palm. It's almost water-like, but if I had to compare, it's more like an essence. I even left the cap open for 20 seconds, and it didn't drip - it just clung to the opening. After purchasing, I checked Hwahae and noticed some new potential allergens that weren't there before. The renewed version seems to have changed ingredients, which worried me a bit. I prefer very gentle products as my skin has been acting up lately, plus I have atopic dermatitis. Recently, my skin has been itchy all over, which is unusual. On the bright side, the main difference from the Mochi Toner is that this one makes my skin feel smoother! I'm not sure about the benefits of smoother skin yet, but it definitely feels that way. I personally prefer a more elastic feel, though. I always use this toner along with a clay mask and an exfoliating toner, as one application doesn't feel quite enough. Sometimes I even do a toner mask. I've included a tip for toner masks too!

  I'm not sure if it's because my skin is sensitive right now, but every time I use this, the area around my eyes and mouth stings. My lips were constantly itchy, and today I noticed they were quite swollen. If it's because of the toner, I'll update my review. I remember the pre-renewal version didn't have any allergens, so it's disappointing that this one does. I've used over 7 bottles of the Mochi Toner, and I know it can feel a bit oily in summer, so I thought I'd try this Inner Glow Toner. Previously, my satisfaction was 5 stars, but with this one, I'm not particularly satisfied so far. It feels much less impressive than the Mochi Toner. This alone isn't enough for skincare, and it stings every time I apply it. Even if I layer it 7 times, my skin quickly feels dry. The hydration isn't great either. I'm not sure if this toner is causing more hives or if it's something else, but my lips are itchy and swollen. This is a rare occurrence for me. This toner seems particularly stinging. The emulsion and cream don't sting as much. I'll know for sure once my skin calms down. My whole face is itchy and stinging. My skin type has changed a lot since COVID, but this is the worst it's ever been. I didn't think my skin was this sensitive. I'm so upset, hence all the sad faces...

  Tip

  If I had to recommend the best way to use this, I'd suggest a toner mask! I've slept with it on, and it's when I felt the most hydrated. I use thin cotton pads from Daiso that are great for toner masks - they come in a plastic container with dual pink and white cotton pads. Once again, I highly recommend the Mochi Toner! It feels like you haven't applied anything, so I tend to use it up quickly. I've repurchased the Mochi Toner, but the toner mask method is effective with this one too. This is just my personal opinion.

  Whether I use it as an exfoliating toner, for absorption, or as a skin pack, it's all great! Unlike the Mochi toner, which can be inconvenient for exfoliating or as a skin pack due to its viscosity, the Smooth toner has a water-like consistency that makes it easy to use. Even though I have sensitive skin, it suits me well, and I'm on my nth bottle. It's excellent value for money!

  There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. When I had acne-prone skin, I tried various toners, but this one was the most satisfying.

  As a cosmetics nomad, I've been using this holy grail toner for 4 years now! Even though I have sensitive skin that suddenly rejects products when seasons change or time passes, this is the only one I've been able to use consistently. Before using this product, I was really troubled by small bumps and whiteheads, but since I started using the TonyMoly Smooth toner, they've significantly decreased! I don't even worry about those issues anymore. It's also affordable and comes in a large size, making it great for use as an exfoliating toner or for hydrating mask routines.

  Cons

  Downsides...? I've been using it for 4 years, so I can't think of any! The price is great too... I just hope they don't discontinue the Smooth toner since the Mocchi toner seems more popular.

  Tip

  After showering, when your pores are open from the hot steam, apply the toner to a thin cotton pad and gently swipe it over areas with blackheads (not too hard). They'll come out easily!

  It felt lighter than the Mochi Toner. I think I used this product more effectively. My skin became smoother and the texture improved.

  The hydration wasn't as good as the Mochi Toner. Even after layering it multiple times, I didn't feel like my skin was getting fully hydrated.

  I found it works best when applied with a cotton pad after cleansing to even out the skin texture.
