First off, I've been incredibly stressed about my skin since starting high school. Not only did I have blemishes, but I also had extremely sensitive skin that would react badly to even the slightest misstep in my skincare routine. I hadn't noticed it before, but as I entered puberty and the pandemic hit, my skin changed from dry to oily. When I first used this product in middle school, I didn't really notice its effects. But there were times when my skin was so damaged that everything I applied would sting - except for this product. It was the only friend my skin would accept. Since then, I've turned 20, and I've never switched to anything else. I've been using it consistently for so long that I can't even remember how many times I've repurchased it. That's how much I trust and love this product. The texture is creamy and smooth, with a milky color that's easy on the skin. Despite my extreme sensitivity, I've never experienced any blemishes from this product. After using it, my skin feels plump and bouncy. My skin type is slightly oily but closer to dry... but honestly, I think this would work well for any skin type. It doesn't seem to discriminate. I highly recommend this product since it seems not many people know about it! The only downside is that I have to repurchase it often because I use it up so quickly (actually, the amount is generous - I just use it fast). I use it in the morning to prep my skin, and at night as a simple base before layering other products. - vm*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 9, 2024
After using a thicker toner, I was curious to try something different, and this product turned out to be a better fit for my dehydrated skin! It's quite fluid, making it perfect for applying with a cotton pad before makeup or just patting it on directly. I'm very satisfied with how it feels light yet deeply hydrating. The generous size is a bonus too! I can't think of any downsides, so I'm definitely planning to repurchase! - ln******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 30, 2024
This product is truly amazing! It's not too oily, and after multiple applications, it leaves your skin feeling hydrated. I highly recommend it for combination dehydrated skin! I used this back in college because it was affordable and had good ingredients. I remember it being discontinued for a while. After that, I became a toner nomad until my skin suddenly became acne-prone, so I switched to a toner that didn't aggravate my blemishes. After graduating and using other products for five years, I remembered how well the rice toner worked for me. I recently searched for it online, found it was back on sale, and bought it right away. I was a bit hesitant since the formula might have changed, and my skin type has evolved, but the price was so reasonable that I decided to give it a try. To my surprise, I noticed smoother skin texture the very next morning after using it! What's great about this toner is that it's more hydrating than other water-based toners, but it's not sticky and absorbs well. The more you apply, the more it seems to address deep dryness. It contains rice ferment filtrate, but it doesn't feel as potent as other fermented cosmetics. I've had blemishes from galactomyces ferment products before, but this one suits me well. It actually seems to reduce my skin's texture, possibly due to how it tackles deep dryness. Being rice-based, it also seems to brighten my complexion a bit, though this could be my imagination since it's only been a week. After not using it for a while and coming back to it, I'm really noticing the benefits! My skin type is combination dehydrated - if I'm not diligent with skincare, I get oily around my nose and chin, with noticeable texture. I occasionally get small blemishes, and my skin reacts with texture issues if I use products with pore-clogging ingredients or ones that don't suit me. I've kept my skincare routine the same except for switching to this toner for the past week, and I've noticed smoother skin texture and reduced blemishes. I think I'll need about a month to accurately assess any brightening effects. There's nothing I dislike about it! It addresses deep dryness, comes in a large size, and is affordably priced. I recommend giving it a try! I just hope it doesn't get discontinued again. When using the rice toner, I first use it as an exfoliating toner (wiping with both sides of a cotton pad, twice total), which effectively removes any residual cosmetics or oil, leaving my skin feeling fresh! To minimize friction, I saturate the entire cotton pad with toner and wipe gently. Then, I pat it into my skin 2-3 times. This helps address deep dryness. (I use a serum/essence in the next step, so I only pat 3 times, but if you don't use an essence, the 7-skin method might work well for you.) After that, I apply a hyaluronic acid serum, followed by a moisturizer (I alternate between richer and lighter ones depending on my skin's condition). This routine should definitely help improve your skin texture! - I typically use different toner/essence routines for morning and night. Since vitamin C products can potentially irritate sensitive skin when used with fermented ingredients, I only use the rice toner in the evening as a precaution. - si********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJul 16, 2024
After using only the TonyMoly Mocchi Toner, I tried this one. If you find the Mocchi Toner too heavy, this might be perfect for you. Hmm... I can't really think of any downsides. Maybe just that it's quite runny, so you might use it up faster? - km********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJul 7, 2024
I really liked how it wasn't too irritating and felt refreshing. I often apply multiple layers. It was okay, but I don't think it provided enough hydration. - qx********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 24, 2024
This product is fantastic in its large size, great for both exfoliating and deep cleansing. Even though my skin doesn't usually take well to oils, the lemon peel oil in this didn't cause any blemishes. The large size is both a pro and a con. I find it more convenient to divide it into smaller portions for use. I transfer it to a dropper bottle for easier application. For an intense hydration boost, I layer it multiple times as a deep cleansing toner in the evening. In the morning, I use it as an exfoliating toner before makeup, and it leaves my skin feeling plump with moisture. - gn********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 11, 2024
This product is fantastic for removing makeup, especially given its large size! It's moisturizing and actually soothes the skin before the cleansing oil even touches it! The price is so reasonable that they rarely offer discounts, which is a bit disappointing! When removing makeup, apply it to a cotton pad and use it like an exfoliating toner. It gently and effectively removes makeup without irritation! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 4, 2024
I've been using this exfoliating toner daily, generously soaking a cotton pad. To be honest, it's hard to say that a toner can be dramatically good. Nevertheless, I'm enjoying it as I feel it's helping to clarify my complexion. There's nothing particularly disappointing about this product that I can think of. Instead of buying toner pads, I'd recommend purchasing this toner when it's on sale and using it with cotton pads. It's more cost-effective and, frankly, the results seem quite similar to pre-soaked toner pads. - ki********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedNov 29, 2023
It's perfect for the 7-skin method! My blemishes are clearing up too. I'm absolutely in love with this line! I can see why it's so popular. There's nothing to dislike about it. You can't go wrong buying the entire line. Whether you're doing the 7-skin method or just 3 layers, this small bottle packs a punch. It absorbs well no matter what. All my acne has cleared up! - si******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 22, 2023
[Skin Type] Combination skin with oily T-zone and dry areas around the mouth Sensitive skin prone to irritation [Skin Concerns] Occasional inflammatory blemishes Easily reddened sensitive skin that reacts to minor irritants Deep dryness and lack of elasticity [Positive Points] After always using exfoliating toners, I decided to try a richer textured skin toner for winter I've used the more famous 'mochi toner' too, but I prefer this smooth toner for its refreshing feel It's like a hybrid between a watery toner and an essence toner [Room for Improvement] With its affordable price and generous volume, there's nothing to complain about Works well both as a toner and as a skin pack
