The scent is almost undetectable, making it suitable for those with fragrance sensitivities. As a Hwahae Tester, I didn't experience any blemishes, so it should be fine for sensitive skin as long as you're not allergic to any ingredients. After application, my skin feels delightfully firm and plump. I think it would create a great base for makeup if it absorbs well. Despite my dry skin, I didn't feel any significant dryness, and I appreciated that the finish wasn't overly rich.
ConsIt doesn't absorb quite as quickly as I'd like. When applying makeup, you might need to wait a bit after putting on the cream.
TipTrue to its mask care properties, this cream doesn't cause blemishes and provides hydration without leaving an oily finish. It creates a fantastic base for makeup if you allow it to absorb properly. Just remember, absorption is key! If it doesn't absorb well, the texture might cause your makeup to pill.

I had a breakout above my lip, but it didn't get worse and started to subside quickly. No other blemishes appeared after that. For my dry skin, the oil and moisture balance seems to work really well.
ConsThe texture is similar to an ointment, so it feels heavy when applied and requires a lot of massaging with your palms to absorb well.
TipI prefer applying a generous amount all over my face at night rather than in the morning. After using toner, I apply this product and finish with a cream. It keeps my skin hydrated until morning.

My T-zone is oily, so it doesn't need much care to prevent breakouts, but my U-zone is dry. If I don't balance the oil and moisture well, I get blemishes. It seems like I break out when it's dry, and if there's too much hydration, the heat in my cheeks makes it evaporate quickly. Too much oil leads to acne! The ingredients are incredibly gentle. Looking at the ingredient list, there's nothing particularly problematic, and the first ingredient is Centella Asiatica extract - a star ingredient! It worked well for me since Centella suits my skin. The soothing effect is notable, not just from the Centella but also from calamine. Calamine is famous for its excellent anti-inflammatory properties. I actually applied for The Hwahae Testers because it's a calamine cream! Calamine has a soothing effect, so when I apply it, my skin feels calm. It really does seem to reduce blemishes. As for hydration, it's so moisturizing that on dry days like these, you could finish your skincare routine with just this after your toner. True to its hydrating properties, it has a richer texture than regular moisturizers. After testing it, I think this product would be perfect for those whose skin has become super sensitive due to constant mask-wearing! It seems the product was designed with these concerns in mind, and it delivers. The product itself is extremely gentle, with excellent soothing ingredients and great hydration. During the testing period, I didn't experience any breakouts due to this product. Of course, since I have acne-prone skin, I still got some blemishes, but expecting a skincare product to completely prevent that might be a bit unrealistic. I recommend it for skin soothing purposes!
ConsRegarding absorption, well... The application is good, it spreads well and feels moisturizing when applied, but the calamine, which I mentioned earlier, has a characteristic drawback. It leaves a white cast when spread on the face. You can see this in other reviewers' photos. Of course, if you pat it in instead of rubbing, it's not a problem, but patting every time you apply multiple layers can be tiring for your arms. Because it's made with gentle ingredients, it tends to take a while to absorb into the skin. Combined with the white cast when applying, it's a bit challenging to apply carelessly if you're feeling lazy. As for the packaging, I'm not sure if it's the cause, but it's difficult to squeeze out the cream. Maybe it's because the texture is rich and slightly firm, but there are tube creams with even firmer textures than this one, yet this calamine cream requires more effort to squeeze out. I wonder why...
TipWhen applying the cream, either pat it in or spread it well and finish by pressing your palms against your face - this helps the white cast disappear quickly! Oh, and the calamine I mentioned adding to my regular moisturizer is calamine emulsion sold at pharmacies (price around 3500 won, may vary slightly by pharmacy). If you're unsure whether calamine suits your skin before using this product, you might want to try that as a test. It's not expensive, and you can mix it with your existing products or use it as a spot treatment. Just be aware that mixing it every time can be a bit of a hassle.

This is The Hwahae Testers speaking. First off, I'm absolutely thrilled to have won this product, especially in these times when masks have become a necessity! I have super sensitive oily skin, making it incredibly challenging to find suitable cosmetics. Even the slightest mismatch can cause blemishes, unfortunately. That's why I tend to give at least 50 points to products that don't cause breakouts. Amazingly, I've been using this product for about ten days, and my skin hasn't developed any blemishes! That's what I loved most about it! ⭐ Scent: It's not overpowering at all! When I first opened it, I could barely detect any fragrance. I even asked my mom if she could smell anything, and she couldn't either. However, I noticed a subtle scent after applying it. I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, so it was fine for me. If you're not extremely sensitive to scents, you should be okay with this one. ⭐ Texture: When applied, it feels wonderfully rich! It's different from that tight, skin-pulling sensation - it's just perfectly rich and creamy! ⭐ Quantity: It comes in a generous 150ml size! While it's not the cheapest option out there, I think the amount you get is quite reasonable for the price. ⭐ I found this product to be particularly well-suited for our current times when we have to wear masks so often! Inevitably, mask-wearing can make our skin more sensitive, so I think this would be great for those concerned about that issue.
ConsWhile there's nothing particularly disappointing about it, I haven't noticed any dramatically visible effects yet.

But I won this in an event, and since the ingredients are gentle, I decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, I didn't get any blemishes at all! I work in a cafe and have to wear a mask for long hours, which sometimes causes breakouts around my mouth. But with this product, even when blemishes start to appear, they quickly subside! At first, when I applied too much, it felt a bit heavy. Now I've learned to spread a thin layer, and it feels great. It reminds me of the Zeroid Intensive Cream I got from my dermatologist when I first used it. My usual skincare products are quite expensive, so lately I've been gradually switching to products I've researched on the Hwahae app. My new moisturizer alone wasn't quite hydrating enough, but this product fills that gap perfectly. I think I'll keep using it consistently from now on!
ConsThe texture... how should I put it? It's a bit thick, almost like an ointment, so you need to spread it thinly. That's the only downside I can think of.
TipI'm using it in this order: toner -> essence -> moisturizer -> Maskcare (-> sunscreen, only in the morning), and it's working well. I used to be too lazy to apply much on my face, just using essence and moisturizer, but my skin seems to be improving so much that I can't imagine stopping the Maskcare now!

Surprisingly, this product caused no blemishes. After cleansing, I applied a hydrating serum followed by this Maskcare cream. It doesn't feel greasy at all, instead giving a clean sensation as if a protective layer has been applied to my face. Even after hours, there's hardly any feeling of dryness.
ConsUnlike some creams, it doesn't immediately absorb when applied. However, with a bit more massaging, it does sink in. This actually gives me the impression that it's free from harmful ingredients, making it feel like a healthier cream option.
TipI believe if you apply nourishing toner, emulsion, and essence before finishing with this cream, you'll be able to maintain that hydrated feeling for longer.
