First off, I love the product packaging. It's a slightly transparent plastic or glass container that looks simple yet elegant. The applicator is a dropper-style, which I found hygienic. The product itself is clear and has a silky texture. When applied to the face, it absorbs quickly, leaving a thin, almost imperceptible layer. Overall, it feels lightweight when spread across the skin, making it easy and pleasant to use.
ConsIt does leave a slight oily residue, and the dropper can be a bit difficult to squeeze. Other than that, I'm satisfied.
TipWhen I layered it as Dokdo Skin -> Ampoule -> Dokdo Emulsion, my skin felt incredibly hydrated!

Packaging Unlike typical ampoule containers with rubber droppers, this product uniquely features a button-style dispenser. Press the button to draw in the product, then press again to dispense - similar to traditional droppers in use. I highly appreciate this design as it reduces the risk of the ampoule contacting or degrading the rubber component. However, compared to rubber droppers, it has less suction power, resulting in smaller amounts dispensed at a time. This could be seen as advantageous for portion control or potentially inconvenient, depending on your perspective. 2. Ingredients The formula is free from harmful substances and contains niacinamide for brightening and butylene glycol for hydration. It's likely to be particularly suitable for those seeking intense moisture.
Cons3. Texture Due to its high glycerin content, the texture felt somewhat heavy on my oily skin. With my naturally oily complexion, I typically finish my skincare routine with just a light emulsion or toner followed by emulsion. As winter approached and the air became drier, I wanted to try a hydrating ampoule instead of my usual emulsion. However, upon application, it felt more like it was creating an oil barrier to prevent moisture loss rather than providing hydration. It might work well for nighttime use or on areas with less oil production like the cheeks, but those with oily skin like mine may find it challenging for daily use. 4. Scent While not as crucial as ingredients or texture, I'm quite sensitive to scents and found this aspect slightly disappointing. Many users describe it as nearly odorless, but to me, it had a slightly sour scent reminiscent of aquatic plants. Those familiar with products containing Centella asiatica extract might recognize the smell. I suspect it's due to the seaweed extracts in the formula. While not overpowering after application, the scent that wafts up when opening the container could be toned down a bit.
TipThis product seems well-suited for those with dry skin.

Although it doesn't seem to contain oil, the texture felt like an oil ampoule. (My skin doesn't agree with oils, except for 'like oil' products.) As someone with sensitive, dry skin, I often react badly to functional ampoules, getting redness and irritation. However, this product didn't cause any such issues, making it comfortable to use. I have atopic dermatitis around my mouth, and on days when it was severe, there was a slight tingling sensation. Although it felt a bit warm, it quickly subsided without causing further irritation, which I appreciated. Being a functional ampoule, it felt slightly oily and heavy. Applying it once or twice was enough to give a slightly shiny and smooth feeling. However, if you gently pat and massage it in, it absorbs quickly. I use a cica cream, and when I applied this ampoule before the cream, it reduced the greasy and heavy feeling. Once absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling firm. Even after applying just the ampoule twice before going out, my skin didn't feel dry or irritated. It felt like it created a protective barrier, which seems great for dry skin. When I apply a generous amount before bed, like a sleeping mask, my skin feels incredibly firm and supple in the morning. I found this ampoule most effective for improving skin elasticity. After about two weeks of use, I noticed my complexion looked brighter, so I've started applying it to my neck as well.
ConsI usually layer all my skincare products at least twice, but this ampoule felt too greasy and heavy for that. When I layered it three times and applied makeup, it tended to pill slightly. Also, I noticed some small blemishes appearing... When I reduced the layering to twice or less and used smaller amounts, the blemishes stopped appearing and it felt less heavy. It felt more rich than hydrating, so when my skin was dehydrated, it felt like the product was sitting on top of my skin while still feeling dry underneath. It's expensive... Of course, given its functionality and gentle ingredients, it might be worth it. Because it feels like it creates an oily film on the skin, it tends to attract dust and particles.
TipApplying a small amount in one layer and massaging it in for absorption gives the best firming effect! If it feels too greasy, applying a slightly matte cream or cica cream afterwards can help! It's a great shield against harsh winter winds! Your face won't feel irritated or inflamed. If you have dehydrated skin, I recommend applying a viscous toner or serum generously, then this ampoule, followed by a light cream!
