(I didn't even try using a thick toner because I was worried it would make my skin too greasy) Skincare for me was just 1. toner pads/water toner 2. moisturizer. But then I won a Hwahae Trial Reviewer spot and tried the Calming Bell Toner in the first step. ❤ Moisturizing Using a thick, moisturizing toner for the first time, I found that it didn't control the oiliness, but it didn't make it worse either! My cheeks are relatively drier than my T-zone, but even after wearing makeup all day, I didn't feel any dryness. It actually provided enough moisture to keep my skin supple all day. ❤ Bouncy As mentioned above, my skin felt bouncy all day. Even after cleansing at night, there was hardly any dryness, and my skin still felt plump. It might be too much for summer, but I'll keep using this toner until it gets hotter.
Cons💔 Fragrance The scent seemed familiar, and I realized it was similar to the one from some bath products I used to use. Not a total dealbreaker, but I think it would have been better without any fragrance. 💔 Layering Prohibited I had to go out in a dry indoor environment, so I applied this toner twice and then put on my moisturizer. But then my makeup (Rom&nd Clear Cushion) started sliding off, especially around my nose. I had treated it like my previous water toner and layered it, but it seems you shouldn't do that with a thick toner before makeup. At night, I can layer it multiple times and let it all absorb.
Tip1. For lazy oily/combo skin types like me, the Calming Bell Toner and a moisturizer should be enough to prevent dryness. 2. Avoid layering this toner before makeup application.
