It feels clean and oil-free, and there's a slight tingling sensation that makes me think it might be effective on blemishes. If you have very dry skin, you might find it lacks sufficient hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 13, 2023
If you're looking for a clean exfoliating toner, I highly recommend this one! It's truly a pristine exfoliating toner that leaves no residue behind. While it's clean, I didn't feel much hydration. However, when I layered another toner on top, it absorbed beautifully and quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 6, 2021
I bought this product to tackle the dead skin cells on the tip of my nose and under my chin. I applied it with a cotton pad, paying extra attention to those areas. It was great to see a reduction in sebum and dead skin cells. The water-based formula leaves no sticky residue! I'm not sure about its hydration properties. It would have been even better if it felt more moisturizing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 25, 2021
I have thin skin, lack of hydration, and oily + sensitive skin. Even when using products with great ingredients, if something doesn't quite agree with my skin, I'm prone to blemishes. I often get small bumps around my neck and jawline. After using this toner, it's been amazing for calming my blemishes! I've been using this product for about 3 years (my memory is a bit hazy), and it's truly fantastic! While it helps with calming blemishes, those with thin skin and lack of hydration might find it a bit drying. It's a good idea to focus more on moisturizing by using a serum followed by an emulsion and cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 14, 2021
The Papa Recipe eggplant cream worked well for me, so I was looking for products with eggplant ingredients. I bought this Bonjour Vegan toner because it has gentle, clean ingredients and seemed perfect for summer. Despite being a bit drying due to the BHA, it suits my skin well. It's great for summer use, though I'll need to use it longer to see its full effect on blemishes. Because of the BHA, it's not very hydrating and slightly drying, but that's perfect for summer use. I was worried it might not agree with my skin or cause blemishes, but it works well for me. If eggplant ingredients suit your skin, this could be a good option. I plan to apply it intensively on areas prone to blemishes. I really hope it works! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 3, 2021
As someone with sensitive combination skin prone to acne, I can confidently say this product naturally refines skin texture and eliminates dead skin cells. It's truly a miracle worker for those pesky blemishes! It's definitely drying and lacks sufficient hydration. While I'd strongly recommend it for acne-prone or oily skin types, those with sensitive or dry skin should proceed with caution. As someone with sensitive, acne-prone combination skin, I use it, but I've noticed my skin becoming a bit more reactive. If you're using a toner, I'd suggest applying it immediately after, followed by a serum that combats deep dryness or supports your skin barrier, and then a hydrating moisturizer. This routine should help maintain a good balance for your skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 12, 2020
Honest review from my own purchase: As someone with sensitive, combination dehydrated skin prone to pustular acne, especially with prolonged mask-wearing, I've found this product incredibly helpful. - Dead skin cells and impurity removal? The effects are visibly noticeable. I use cotton pads and typically exfoliate quite frequently, but since using this eggplant toner, I've been able to reduce my exfoliation routine. - Lupeol effect? Due to wearing masks for over 10 hours, stress, and hormonal changes, I've been struggling with pustular and closed comedones acne, particularly on my cheeks and chin. It was so bad I couldn't touch my face. I bought this toner on sale without much thought, not expecting it to help, but it's made a significant improvement. While acne scars are inevitable, my skin has improved dramatically. This has become one of my few staple products, which is rare for me. - Skin irritation: Due to its slightly acidic nature, it can be quite irritating on thinner areas of skin like around the nose. It stings... - Value for money: Considering the full price, the volume is disappointing for the cost. It runs out really quickly. -> I'm currently using it twice daily, morning and evening. - Dryness: As it's not specifically a hydrating or nourishing toner, it's understandable, but my skin feels quite dry after using this exfoliating toner. After using this exfoliating toner, make sure to apply plenty of hydrating products like a moisturizing serum to replenish your skin's moisture. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 8, 2020
I'm using this to refine my skin texture after cleansing. Since I started using it, I've noticed a reduction in dead skin cells on my face, and I don't even need to exfoliate separately anymore! It doesn't provide a hydrating or firm feeling on the skin. If your main goal is moisturizing, you might want to skip this one. It works best when used as a wipe-off toner. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAug 26, 2020
I finished a bottle of this before and hesitated to repurchase due to the price. I tried other products for a while, but my skin became so inconsistent that I couldn't bear it and came back to this. How to use: Right after cleansing, gently wipe with a thin cotton pad soaked with an appropriate amount. Wait until it's fully absorbed, and then the skincare products you apply afterwards seem to work incredibly well. Advantages: Since this toner exfoliates, you don't need to use exfoliating products often (I don't use any separate exfoliators). With continued use, you'll notice fewer blemishes. By removing unnecessary dead skin cells, my complexion naturally became clearer. Recommended for: Those who experience blemishes due to excess dead skin cells, or find their makeup doesn't sit well and skincare doesn't absorb / Those who want to worry less about exfoliation Don't expect hydration!! This is an exfoliating toner, not a hydrating one. Think of it as a preparatory step for your skincare routine. You'll need to follow up with other products to balance oil and moisture after using this toner. Obviously not recommended for those who don't tolerate BHA well. I'm not sure how it works on very sensitive skin or severe blemishes as I haven't used it in those conditions. Since it's a wipe-off toner, it might cause a slight tingling sensation. If you have sensitive skin, don't use it daily. Every other day or two to three times a week should be fine. It's a bit pricey. I waited for a sale on Hwahae before purchasing. Gently wipe with a cotton pad Wait a moment for absorption before applying your next skincare product rather than immediately applying toner Recommended to use after skin with severe blemishes has improved somewhat - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2020
I used to use pads for exfoliation, but I ran out and bought this new product! First off, the color is unique haha. I've heard ginger is good for the skin too. I've always just looked at Bon Jour products, but this is my first purchase and it's quite nice. It's a clean toner that doesn't irritate the skin too much. Since it's an exfoliating toner, I use it quite liberally, so I wish the volume was a bit more generous! It would be nice if it were a bit larger. Also, it's not very hydrating, so I'm applying a separate toner as well. It's an exfoliating toner that helps remove dead skin cells.
