The color is perfect for the summer mute. It doesn't accentuate lip wrinkles, and the formula is fixing yet not overly drying. Plus, when applied heavily on the inner lips and blended, it looks absolutely gorgeous.

I used to really love glossy lipsticks, so I never even looked at matte or velvet ones. But once fall came around, the velvet ones started calling to me again. However, I was worried that something too matte would be too heavy, so I tried this product. There's absolutely no emphasis on flaky skin, and it applies moisturizing and smooth. In about 3-4 seconds, it transforms into a lovely velvety texture. It's so pretty! I'm a cool-toned person, but I really recommend that all you cool-toned folks stock up on this one.
Cons
I want to tell warm-toned folks to buy a different color 200 times over... The color payoff can change dramatically depending on how many layers you apply, so you'll need to keep that in mind. Since this is a velvet lipstick, it does start to feel a little drying over time, so you'll need to pay attention to that. There's also a bit of staining, so you absolutely must use a makeup remover.
Tip
Buy multiple products from this line and do a gradient effect. Even those of us who love glossy finishes can become totally enamored with velvet lipsticks when they look this pretty. I really hope those of you who dislike matte formulas will give this a try at least once.
