This must-have deserves a spot in your makeup bag. It's excellent for calming redness and blemishes! I'd only heard of Burt's Bees Ointment before, but I had no idea it was this good! While I don't get acne, when I have blemishes or my skin is irritated and blotchy, I apply a thin layer on the affected area before bed, and it's cleared up by morning. I also love the lavender scent. While it comes in a stick form like lip balm, the tin case is more cost-effective for the amount you get.
ConsAlthough the tin case is more economical for the amount, it's a bit inconvenient as you need to use a spatula.
TipFor those who prefer convenience, consider purchasing the stick version.

While I personally love these earthy, herbal scents and found it very appealing, it might be a polarizing fragrance for some. Texture: It comes in a balm form that you're supposed to apply by rubbing with your fingers. When it's very solid and cold, it can be a bit challenging to pick up. While some might find this inconvenient, I actually preferred this texture as it allows for a thin, even application. Rather than feeling like a cream or having a hydrating quality, it has a strong oil-like consistency which might make your skin look a bit shiny. However, the fact that it applies thinly compensates for this, so I was able to use it without any discomfort! Usage: I used it as a spot treatment on my lips, around my nose, and on areas where blemishes were starting to appear. For my lips, which I tend to pick at, I applied it frequently. It seemed more suitable for maintaining the current condition by creating a protective barrier rather than promoting rapid healing. So, it might be more appropriate for those looking to alleviate dryness rather than those with frequently chapped or picked lips like mine. For the area around my nose, which tends to get flaky or chapped, it was extremely useful as I could apply it thinly and carry it around for frequent application! I especially recommend it for those with allergies who need to blow their nose often! It was great for soothing the white, flaky skin that often appears after frequent nose-blowing, separate from regular dead skin cells! As for its effectiveness as a spot treatment, I'll need to observe a bit longer and will update my review after further use :)
ConsThe disappointing aspect is that the container is in a balm (jar...?) form rather than a stick. This might be less hygienic as dust could get in, and I think a stick form would have been more convenient for application, which is a bit of a letdown.

You need to melt it with the warmth of your hands before use. Scent: As soon as you open it, you're hit with a strong cica scent. It might be polarizing, but I absolutely love it. It gives a refreshing feeling. Effectiveness: I applied a thin layer on insect bites and random itchy spots. It noticeably reduced swelling and significantly eased the itching. It worked better than other ointments or medications, even with smaller amounts! Packaging: It's lightweight and portable, perfect for outdoor activities like camping or picnics. Price: Considering that Burt's Bees has been consistently offering this product for years and it has trustworthy ingredients, I think the price is reasonable. Plus, since you melt it for use, it seems like it will last longer than expected!
ConsTransfer: The green color... it transfers onto white t-shirts and bedding. Some people mention slight skin staining, but I have darker skin so I didn't really notice this issue! Effect on blemishes: It didn't have much effect on acne or blemishes. It seems best suited for soothing insect bites, eczema, or rashes.
TipApplying thin layers frequently seems to be more effective!

Due to its firm texture, it's great for applying to areas like cuticles when using your hands, as it spreads thinly.
Cons- Ingredients As someone with super sensitive skin, I unfortunately couldn't use it on my face. - Texture While it's good for applying to areas like cuticles, it doesn't melt easily with just the heat from your hands when you want to use it for moisturizing or applying to your lips. If you want to apply it thickly, I recommend scooping it out! I found it worked well on my hangnails.

Eye creams feel heavy, and oils are too much for me, so I tried this product and found it quite nice. To be honest, I wasn't sure if it would work, but the tightness has significantly reduced, and it doesn't feel heavy, which I love. I can apply it frequently without it pilling, and it spreads thinly without feeling greasy, which is great. There's a distinct herbal or grassy scent with a slight kick to it. It might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation. Personally, I'm a fan of this type of fragrance. I've also been applying it to my neck wrinkles before bed. It doesn't cake up and feels comfortable, so I plan to use it on my neck and under-eye area whenever I have a spare moment. It definitely helped alleviate itchiness caused by dryness. When my forehead was irritated and itchy after exfoliating, I applied this, and it soothed the itchiness effectively.
ConsThe product description was lacking, so I had to research online before using it. Also, considering the price-to-performance ratio, it feels a bit ambiguous. This might be because I haven't used it for long. I'll update my review after using it more.
TipWhile it's great for soothing itchiness, it lacks in hydration. I found mixing it with a cream works really well. Applying a small amount to itchy and dry areas of the face is perfect.

It's a soothing balm that's neither too soft nor too firm. It applies smoothly and thinly, so it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. The formulation is so comfortable that you can reapply it multiple times without any discomfort. #Soothing During a hotel staycation, I went out briefly and came back to find my leg swollen and itchy from a mosquito bite. I immediately thought of the Rescue Ointment Cica that I've been carrying in my pouch lately. I applied it to the affected area, and while I was busy taking care of my child, I suddenly realized that both the itching and swelling had subsided. It's truly impressive how even a small amount of this Rescue balm can have such an immediate effect on the skin. #Ingredients While opinions may vary, I believe the strong herbal scent typical of Cica products actually increases my confidence in the product's ingredients. My child has been suffering from an unexplained allergy recently, and every time I apply this instead of the harsh steroid ointment prescribed by the doctor, I feel less worried and guilty. I plan to gradually replace the prescription with this Rescue balm. Knowing that it's safe for children over 6 months old is reassuring, and based on my experience, I truly believe this product is worth trusting.
ConsI haven't found any significant drawbacks yet, but if I had to mention something, it would be that the tin case can dent easily when impacted, and dust tends to collect when opening and closing the container.

Hydration During seasonal changes, my cheeks get dry and flaky, but I avoid using oils as they make my whole face greasy. This product is great for applying like an ointment to dry areas - it absorbs completely. My skin feels much less rough too. My lips crack all year round, but carrying this around and applying it constantly helps calm the dead skin cells and makes them feel more comfortable. 2. Application It's quite solid, so you need to warm it up between your fingers before applying, which helps it go on thinly. This naturally controls the amount used and improves how it absorbs. I tried using more with a scoop, but it just became an oily mess. It doesn't scoop well - I think they made it solid so you'd use very small amounts, like an oil. 3. Absorption I have thick dead skin on my lips year-round, so I'm always using lip balm. I've tried them all, and this absorbs much faster than Burt's Bees, though you need to reapply more often. On cheeks, it sits like a coating. During the day, you need to rub it in well to avoid a disaster when it mixes with sunscreen oil. At night, I want to apply it thickly before bed, but since it needs warming up, I end up applying multiple thin layers. By morning, it's completely absorbed. 4. Cica Function Seeing how quickly it heals cracked lips and helps new skin form, it seems to have a good cica function. Regular moisturizing lip balms take days to heal cracks. This worked like magic overnight. It also thickened my lip skin. My boyfriend got some kind of insect bite that became swollen from scratching. We applied this thickly before bed, and the swelling was gone by morning. 5. Scent It has a very strong scent typical of cica products. I love it, but it might be polarizing.
ConsThe tin case is hard to open at first, but you get used to it. The formula is too solid.
TipRub the product between two fingers, apply to face and other areas, then massage again on problem areas. This improves absorption and prevents pilling.

I applied the cica balm thinly only to areas that needed soothing as the final step in my routine! ✨Texture It doesn't feel like Vaseline, but rather like a thin layer of oil! This meant my skin didn't feel suffocated, and I didn't get the impression that it would clog my pores! However, being a balm, it provided zero hydration! So it's crucial to have a solid hydrating base for it to be effective! I applied it thinly to areas that needed soothing, like my forehead and cheeks! It was great for moisturizing and had excellent calming effects! ✨Scent It has a slight herbal scent...? Plus a hint of tiger balm. I personally like it, but it might be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance! ✨Side note.... I applied this thickly to my lips and oh boy... My lips started tingling like crazy! Even after wiping it off several times, my lips still felt numb.... I hope no one else makes this mistake... Absolutely avoid using it on lips or any sensitive areas!
ConsIt would be nice if it came with a spatula! Using it with your fingers feels a bit unhygienic, which is slightly disappointing!
TipAlso, if you mix it with aloe vera and massage it onto bruised areas, the bruises heal faster than usual and are less painful!

It definitely has a soothing effect when applied to dry areas. 2. It spreads thinly without clumping. There's absolutely no white cast, and the hydration is top-notch.
Cons1. When you first use it, it's hard to tell if you've applied it or not... (this could be a plus though). Unlike Vaseline or Tiger Balm, you can't scoop out the product. You need to warm it up with your body heat to use it...!
TipIt's light and easy to carry around!

The next morning, my skin feels smooth and polished - like it's been refined somehow! Lately, my biggest concern has been recurring blemishes, but this seems to make them disappear. It's temporary, but I'm amazed a skincare product can have such an effect! This SOS Soothing Balm truly lives up to its name. In my opinion, it's so incredibly good that I'm 100% going to repurchase.
ConsOpening the lid is an absolute nightmare... Whether it's a can or jar type, they're all similar, but it's extremely difficult to open. The texture is sticky, so it might be too much to use under makeup. I wish it came with a spatula... I'm currently digging it out with my fingernails to use it.
