  Personally, I find that many cleansing balms have unpleasant scents, but this product seems to have a much nicer fragrance. It removes makeup thoroughly without leaving any residue, and it even takes off waterproof and color cosmetics in one go. The best part? Unlike other products that can sting your eyes, this one doesn't cause any irritation at all - that's a huge plus!

  Cons

  I think it would be great if they could offer a larger size for better value for money.

  Wow, this is absolutely amazing! It doesn't sting at all even if it gets in your eyes! It must be super gentle. But get this - it removes makeup like a champ too! Honestly, this is the best cleansing product I've ever used!

  Cons

  The spoon-mixing format is a bit inconvenient. I think it would be more user-friendly if it came in a tube.

  Tip

  You can just slather it on haphazardly and rub it all over, and your eyes won't hurt at all!

  1. The scent isn't overpowering, so it's comfortable to use (unlike Banila Co. which can be a bit intense). 2. Love that it comes with a space for a spoon - much more hygienic than using your fingers. 3. Impressive cleansing effectiveness - it even removes Clio mascara (no need for separate lip and eye makeup remover). 4. If a cleansing balm nails these three points, it's a winner. Just needs to be reasonably priced. Added bonus: Doesn't irritate the eyes at all - amazing!

  Cons

  1. More expensive than Banila Co. for the amount you get. 2. Can't think of any other downsides, to be honest.

  Tip

  It might look solid on the surface, but it scoops out easily with the spoon. Just press gently!

  Please refer to the product photos for visuals and texture. The size fits comfortably in one hand! When you open the lid, you'll find a separate spatula for scooping the balm. The texture when first scooped is like a sorbet, but as it melts, it becomes a true balm! 1. It melts smoothly and absorbs well into the skin! (Please check the attached photos!) 2. It doesn't sting even if it gets in your eyes. Unlike other products that can be painfully irritating, the Tobegun Cleansing Balm is completely gentle. 3. Excellent cleansing effectiveness! Whether I wore heavy or light makeup, after cleansing with the Tobegun Cleansing Balm and wiping my face with a pad during the first step of skincare, there was no residue left behind.

  Cons

  1. There's a peculiar scent... An artificial cosmetic smell? 2. For me, it felt quite rich. Even during the emulsification process, it felt more slippery than oily.

  Here's my review after using it right away upon arrival! Comparing it to the Banila Co cleansing balm I used before: Usually, you scoop it out and apply it to the back of your hand. While the Banila Co spatula is slightly rounded, leaving some residue, the Hwahae product can be used cleanly. Excellent cleansing effectiveness! It removes mascara thoroughly without any burning sensation in the eyes. It dissolves sebum well, and the emulsification process is smooth, leaving you feeling refreshed without any slippery or heavy feeling.

  Cons

  Maybe because I'm used to the Banila Co sherbet texture, the melting process of this balm feels slower. It melts into small clumps that need to be broken down by hand. Of course, it melts easily, so it's more like gently massaging rather than crushing, but simply scooping and rubbing between palms isn't enough!

  Tip

  I plan to update on any skin irritation or changes after continued use, but based on my first impression, I'd likely repurchase if the price is reasonable!

  - Melts gently on contact with skin - Emulsifies well, leaving no slippery residue after rinsing, which is excellent, and leaves skin feeling hydrated - Being solid, it's great for travel without worrying about spills - No eye irritation, and if it gets in the eyes, it washes out quickly with water without leaving any foreign sensation. Other brands' oil cleansers often leave an oily film in the eyes

  - Doesn't thoroughly remove makeup from pores or heavy cosmetics (Used this product for first cleanse, but when doing a second cleanse with a galvanic device, a lot of makeup still came off) - The scent starts off fresh, but then develops a slightly musty smell and a medicinal odor
