The scent isn't overpowering, so it's comfortable to use (unlike Banila Co. which can be a bit intense). 2. Love that it comes with a space for a spoon - much more hygienic than using your fingers. 3. Impressive cleansing effectiveness - it even removes Clio mascara (no need for separate lip and eye makeup remover). 4. If a cleansing balm nails these three points, it's a winner. Just needs to be reasonably priced. Added bonus: Doesn't irritate the eyes at all - amazing!
Cons1. More expensive than Banila Co. for the amount you get. 2. Can't think of any other downsides, to be honest.
TipIt might look solid on the surface, but it scoops out easily with the spoon. Just press gently!

Effectively removes sunscreen, foundation, and eyebrow makeup. Doesn't strip the skin of moisture (no dry feeling). It's a vegan product. Doesn't cause blemishes. Has an effect of dissolving sebum (though there's still quite a bit of sebum in my pores, there's definitely less after use). Comes with a built-in spatula, and there's a plastic plate between the spatula and the product with a handle, making it convenient. Also, when using the spatula, you can attach the plastic plate to the lid to prevent contamination, which is really user-friendly. Easier to control the amount and use compared to cleansing oil, and cleansing balm is generally better for people with a lot of peach fuzz.
ConsDoesn't remove eye makeup very well. Considering the regular price, it's not particularly budget-friendly. The amount lasts about a month with daily use. Leaves a slight residue (which is why I do a second cleanse). Doesn't really exfoliate dead skin cells (if you have skin with lots of tiny bumps, I strongly recommend using an exfoliating product in your skincare routine)
TipI have combination dehydrated skin, so I use cleansing balm well, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to those with very oily skin. However, I do recommend it for dry or combination dehydrated skin types. In my case, because there's some residue after using the cleansing balm, I follow up with a low pH cleansing foam. In the morning, I only use the low pH cleansing foam, while at night I use the cleansing balm followed by the low pH cleansing foam. Having only used cleansing foams and oils before, this is my first time trying a cleansing balm, so I'm not sure about its unique characteristics. However, this product has been satisfying enough for me to get into cleansing balms. If it goes on sale, I would definitely repurchase.
