The scent is almost undetectable, making it pleasant to apply, and it doesn't cause any blemishes! True to its name as a moisturizing toner, it really helps combat deep dryness! I use this Goodal toner with Wellage ampoule, and when I apply both, my skin doesn't break out, feels hydrated, and has a nice, firm texture!
ConsIt feels slightly richer than expected, but not to a degree that's particularly bothersome

I actually prefer that it's fragrance-free. Thank you!
ConsEverything's great, but the container has a straight opening, which makes it difficult to use the last bit, especially the emulsion.
TipIn my personal opinion, it's good to use an essence between the toner and emulsion steps.

I was shocked when I received it - it's bigger than expected. ✔️It feels quite weighty when held in one hand. ✔️The liquid has a slight off-white tint, true to its 'rice' name. ✔️The scent is reminiscent of rice water. Though it's a fragrance I've never encountered in skincare before, I found it appealing. It has a sort of hearty, comforting aroma. ✔️After opening the seal, I applied it to a cotton pad as an exfoliating toner, but it's not the watery toner I expected! I was surprised to see a bubbly texture on the pad. ✔️Quickly dispensing some onto my hand to check the texture, I found it has a slight viscosity. It feels slippery and hydrating. ✔️No wonder it's great for moisturizing! It feels like it creates a thin layer of hydration with just the toner. ✔️Checking the ingredients on Hwahae, I saw all components listed with a safety rating of 1.
Cons✔️It's challenging to dispense the toner onto a cotton pad. Instead of gently squeezing, you need to tap it to get the product out. The bottle is rigid and has a wide diameter, which makes it difficult. As toner is the first step in skincare, I wish it were easier to use - that's a bit disappointing. ✔️Recommended for dry skin types. As it's not oil-free, it might be difficult for my oily skin to use outside of winter. (However, it didn't cause any blemishes! Maybe I could use it in other seasons too?)
TipFor those with dry or combination skin looking for a moisturizing toner in a large size, this product is perfect. It's purely for hydration without additional benefits like soothing, so I recommend it specifically for moisturizing! Ideal for winter use.

Even when applying base makeup (using a matte cushion), I noticed my skin feeling dry and flaky. While searching for a moisturizing product, I was lucky enough to be selected for The Hwahae Testers program! The texture reminded me of a thin aloe gel. On first use, I was surprised by the strong rice water scent, but I got used to it after that. As someone with extremely oily skin, I really dislike products that make me feel greasy, sticky, or like they're just sitting on my skin without absorbing. However, I loved how this product absorbed quickly, leaving a fresh finish. I'm already a big fan of Goodal serums, so I had high expectations - and this product definitely lived up to them! The name includes 'vegan', so I wasn't worried about the ingredients (and I didn't experience any blemishes, so it seems to suit my skin well). Previously, I would apply Dr.Jart+ moisturizer and Goodal serum before my matte cushion foundation (the mint-colored one from La**), but it would still look patchy on my nose, cheeks, forehead, and between my brows, requiring frequent touch-ups. However, when I layered Dr.Jart+, this Goodal moisturizing toner, moisturizer, and Goodal serum before applying my cushion, it adhered perfectly with a smooth finish! This product truly lives up to its name as a perfect hydrating solution. It's not overly heavy, which I'm really satisfied with!
ConsIf I had to nitpick, it would be about the packaging. The screw-top lid is a bit inconvenient. I'm used to the Dr.Jart+ products that have a simple click-open lid, so this felt a bit cumbersome in comparison.
TipI don't like the feeling of product sitting on my skin without absorbing, so I only use a small amount as shown in the photo and pat it in. I love how it seems to melt into my skin nicely.

You won't notice it unless you're actively trying to smell it, but I liked that it felt like a natural scent from the ingredients rather than an artificial fragrance. ◇ Texture It's not watery, but has a slightly viscous, runny consistency. As someone with dry skin, I prefer this texture over water-like formulas, so I was pleased. ◇ Hydration/Longevity Having sensitive skin, I usually stick to patting toners as exfoliating ones can be irritating. This product felt perfectly optimized for the patting method! After application, it filled my skin with hydration and made it feel plump, seeming to enhance the absorption of emulsions and creams applied afterwards. The moisturizing effect also seemed to last longer than usual! However, those with dry skin will still likely need an emulsion and cream. ◇ User Experience As it's marketed as a gentle toner that passed sensitive skin tests, I tried it with confidence. It truly felt mild without any irritation. There was no stinging or burning sensation at all. I've used it for over a week without any blemishes appearing. It seems safe to use without worry! ◇ Vegan 🌱Vegan cosmetics: Products that avoid animal-derived ingredients and animal testing, while minimizing unnecessary chemicals and single-use plastics. This was my first time trying a Goodal product, and I appreciated that it's vegan! Despite using recycled plastic, the packaging has a nice matte finish and looks clean.
ConsWhile I liked it overall, if I had to point out one drawback, the bottle opening allows for good control, but it comes out in small amounts, which felt a bit frustrating. I had to tap it into my hand several times to get the desired amount. On the bright side, this reduces the risk of accidentally pouring out too much.
TipIt's great for use as a patting toner! Dispense the desired amount of toner into your palm, then spread it widely over your skin before gently patting to help the skin absorb the hydration.

Oil-based products tend to cause breakouts, so I stick to gentle, hydrating formulas with clean ingredients. I tried this vegan moisturizing toner and love that: 1. The scent isn't irritating. I've used tea tree and aloe products before that were uncomfortable due to strong fragrances, but this one doesn't sting my eyes or have an artificial smell. 2. It's been a lifesaver for my recent skin troubles. Since the new year, I've dealt with allergic reactions and itchy bumps all over, even needing allergy meds from my dermatologist. This toner doesn't irritate or cause any burning sensation, which is fantastic. I use it mainly after cleansing in the evening. Despite its substantial, clear gel-like texture, it absorbs quickly without leaving my skin feeling dry. In winter, it's non-sticky and keeps my hands moisturized too. It provides a dewy hydration that's perfect for the dry season. I'm not sure how it'll perform in summer - whether it'll absorb as nicely or feel heavy - but for winter, it gives that much-needed glow and moisture.
ConsThe bottle is quite thick and doesn't fit comfortably in one hand. A slimmer design would be easier to grip. Given its weight and the gel-like consistency, it can be a bit challenging to dispense the product onto my hand.
TipI used to do sheet masks 2+ times a week, but I've cut back due to concerns about preservatives, especially with my recent skin issues. Now, I'm focusing on gentle ingredients. As an alternative to sheet masks, I open my pores with warm water in the evening, then apply this toner generously and let it absorb. For those with dry skin, it could even work as a body lotion substitute for rough areas like elbows.

The scent is so subtle that it's barely noticeable even when intentionally sniffing it. As someone with dry skin who doesn't drink much water even in winter, I experienced no tightness after application.
ConsThe texture isn't thin, so it's a shame it doesn't come with a pump dispenser, which would have made it easier to use.
TipI think this formula is perfect for a pre-makeup hydration boost. A great tip is to soak cotton pads with it and place them on your cheeks and forehead like a mask just before applying makeup. The rice-based ingredients make it gentle in both composition and fragrance, and it gives a nice glow after makeup application.

When I pat it into my face right after cleansing, I can feel it tackling dryness with just this one product. Of course, being a toner, it's hard to use it alone, but I only used this with a hydrating cream and didn't feel dry at all. That's how incredibly moisturizing it is. The ingredients are really gentle, and I loved that there's no overwhelming fragrance. I have oily skin and am prone to blemishes when products are too rich, so I actually didn't get along well with Goodal's famous line. However, this one seems perfectly formulated to suit both dry and oily skin types!
ConsThe texture is close to a runny consistency, but the bottle opening is a bit unfriendly, making it difficult to dispense. The texture isn't quite right for decanting.

I applied for this product because I felt my current toner lacked sufficient hydration. Being mildly acidic and vegan, I had high expectations, and I'm thrilled to say it's a perfect match for my skin. The texture provides a more hydrating feel, which I love, and the absence of fragrance is a big plus. While it's only been a week of use, so it's too early to tell its full effect on acne or blemishes, I can already see a noticeable calming effect on my skin. It seems to work well for my sensitive combination skin.
ConsThe texture is more concentrated like a serum rather than watery, which made it a bit inconvenient to use as an exfoliating toner. It took quite some time for the toner to be absorbed into the cotton pad. However, this thicker consistency seemed to lock in moisture better after application, which I found beneficial.

It provided enough moisture that I didn't feel extremely dry even when I didn't apply anything after the toner. While I'm not particularly sensitive to scents, I don't usually like cosmetic fragrances, but this one was quite pleasant. The formula is quite fluid, so it absorbs well into cotton pads. With its generous volume and quick absorption, it seems great as an exfoliating toner before makeup. After use, I felt my skin texture was more refined. It didn't cause any blemishes, and with its good ingredients, I think it would work well as a toner for any skin type. The product packaging also seems eco-friendly and easy to recycle!
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly disappointing. Due to its fluid texture and quick absorption, those expecting a very moisturizing or rich feel might find it lacking.
TipWhen using a sheet mask, I apply this Vegan Rice Milk Moisturizing Toner with a cotton pad on areas that tend to dry quickly, like around the nose and mouth. It's great because these areas don't dry out while wearing the mask.
