ConsWhile the clean feel is nice, it might leave colored or damaged hair feeling quite stiff. The scent could also use some improvement.
TipI received this as a winner from The Hwahae Testers, but due to circumstances, I started using it later than planned, which delayed my review. Although I haven't used it long enough for a thorough before-and-after comparison, based on the experience so far, it seems like a decent, no-frills shampoo.

My hair used to be so full of oil that it would overflow, always making my hair look greasy. But since using this shampoo, the oil has disappeared to a reasonable level, my hair strands seem thicker, and I didn't lose as much hair when washing! I had some hair loss issues before, but after using it frequently, I could visibly see my hair volume filling in. It's truly a game-changer! I can understand why it's a best-seller on Amazon... I absolutely recommend it!
ConsOne aspect I usually consider important when shampooing is the scent, and I found the fragrance of this product not to my liking. So, I ended up using it together with another scented shampoo. Also, because it controls oil so well, it did make my hair feel a bit stiff. However, for those of us blessed with an abundance of natural oils, this product is nothing short of a miracle!

Lovely scent While using it, I realized the familiar fragrance reminds me of Vitamin C Lemona! It's a super refreshing scent that puts you in a good mood while washing your hair. Come to think of it, the color has a slight yellow tint too! 2. Refreshing feel It gives such a refreshing sensation while washing! While it's not extremely cooling, it definitely leaves you feeling invigorated. It's like you can feel your scalp getting cleaner! 3. Zero residue I usually rinse my hair for a long time, partly because I'm concerned about ingredients, and partly because my scalp tends to be dry. But with this product, there's absolutely no residue left. My scalp feels thoroughly cleansed, and the ingredients are great too! This is what I love most about it. 4. Impressive product I'm even more impressed that it's a shampoo specifically for hair thinning. My hair is naturally fine, and I've been losing more lately, so I've been paying extra attention to it. I figure it's better to start caring for it while I'm young. I've been using scalp ampoules too, but this product seems perfect for me. Rather than focusing on hair growth, it seems more important to prevent hair loss first. I'll keep using it consistently. After using it, my scalp condition has improved! And we all know that a healthy scalp means less hair fall, right? So I'm determined to use up the rest of the bottle!
Cons1. Lacks moisture Perhaps because it leaves no residue, it feels a bit drying and makes my hair slightly stiff. I always use conditioner because I dislike this feeling. Using just this product, it's a bit challenging to thoroughly cleanse both the scalp and hair (this might be specific to my hair type). So after using this shampoo, conditioner becomes even more essential! But since this is always part of my routine anyway, it's not a major inconvenience. Still, while rinsing, I do worry a tiny bit that this might not be ideal for my hair. 2. Average lather I prefer shampoos that lather well. While lots of foam doesn't necessarily mean it's a good product (it's probably all chemicals anyway), I'm just used to it. It also makes me use more shampoo than necessary, which is a bit concerning! However, I don't really want to skimp on shampoo usage, and given how effective this product is, it's not a major issue for me.

First off, I have combination oily scalp. By evening, my bangs get greasy, and by the next day, even the back of my head... I have thick, long hair and occasionally get painful blemishes on my scalp. With the changing seasons, my scalp's been itchy, so I decided to switch shampoos when I won this! The scent is citrusy? A subtle herbal aroma? Personally, I loved it, but it might be hit or miss for some. The color is a slightly opaque yellowish, with a thin gel cleanser consistency. It's quite different from the thick, white shampoos I usually use - this one feels light and fluid, which was refreshing! When I first wet my hair with lukewarm water and used two pumps, I was shocked at how little it lathered. Even though I tend to have oily hair, it barely felt like I was using shampoo. After massaging and rinsing, I tried again with another pump, and it lathered better. Still, by my standards, it wasn't very foamy. Rinsing feels very 'squeaky clean' - like washing with bar soap. I usually don't like that squeaky feeling, so I was worried. But after using conditioner, my scalp felt refreshed without being stiff. The cleansing power seems excellent without being drying! No scalp odor or flaking either - a pleasant surprise! What I loved most was the reduction in hair fall! I have very thick hair and used to lose handfuls when washing, but after using this Gold Label shampoo, it's been cut in half! I was amazed - I expected more hair loss due to the 'squeaky' feel, but there was so little on the floor after showering. Though I haven't been using it long, my mom, stylist, and friends have all complimented how beautiful, bouncy, and shiny my hair looks lately! I've noticed split ends disappearing too. I'm definitely going to keep using it! So grateful to have won this! Honestly, the day after I first used it, I woke up with a big, painful blemish on the back of my head. I do get these occasionally, so I wasn't sure if it was related. I continued using it for two weeks and didn't get any more blemishes, but that first one was quite painful and lasted a while...
ConsThe lack of rich lather was a bit disappointing for me, as I prefer a really foamy experience. The 'squeaky clean' feeling was also quite intense. However, its cleansing power is truly excellent! While I only had that one blemish issue on the first day and was fine after, it's worth noting that some people might have ingredient sensitivities, so please check carefully before purchasing.
TipWet your hair with lukewarm water and massage it in like you're giving yourself a scalp massage! I've heard leaving the lather on for about 2 minutes before rinsing helps, and when I tried it, it seemed to reduce scalp itching! You might want to give that a try. Also, using conditioner or treatment afterwards is a must! While it may vary from person to person, my hair felt quite stiff after shampooing, even making it painful to comb through with my fingers... Wishing everyone a healthy scalp!

I was about to give it 5 stars, but then remembered a few drawbacks, so I'm deducting one. 1. Scent People say the herbal fragrance is divisive, but personally, it reminded me of a distant ginger scent mixed with the aroma you get when sniffing essential oils up close. It's not a spicy scent, and though it doesn't seem to contain ginger, there's a subtle gingerbread-like aroma that lingers. Not recommended for those who dislike spices. However, for those who prefer natural ingredients with stronger scents over artificial rose or cherry blossom fragrances forcefully added to hair/body products, this is a good choice. I found it quite agreeable. 2. Texture It has a translucent deep yellow color with a slightly runny consistency. There's often a misconception that runny formulas don't lather well, but this one does. It's not the rich, dense foam you get from cleansing foams, but it creates a nice lather when it touches your hair. The instructions suggest using half your usual amount of shampoo, rinsing, and then using a quarter amount for a second wash. 3. User Experience With my thick hair that usually requires a lot of shampoo, I didn't notice much reduction in the amount used. However, when washing twice, the first wash removes some oil, and the second lather is definitely more effective with just a small amount. If you feel like you're not getting enough foam at the back of your head, just keep massaging it in, and it'll lather up nicely. Highly recommended for those with oily scalps who find frequent hair washing in winter weather bothersome. I tried washing just once as usual, and while it felt clean, it wasn't as refreshing as washing twice.
ConsEverything's great, except that it leaves hair feeling stiff after rinsing, especially at the roots, which is uncomfortable and makes me cautious about tangling when washing. Using shampoo + treatment + conditioner helps soften it a bit, but when I tried just shampoo + conditioner, it felt stiff. When air-drying (before using a hair dryer and serum), my thick, coarse, damaged hair felt almost crispy. However, when I touch it, surprisingly, it feels smoother than before washing. 4. Price 450ml costs about $31 (with free shipping) at the lowest online price. Considering many products on the market are priced around $13 for 400ml, this is a bit of a barrier. I checked Amazon and iHerb, but as it's an officially imported product, the prices were similar. It might be worth considering if you're good at using discount codes, otherwise buying domestically would be better. Thinking about whether I'd buy it with my own money, while it definitely leaves hair feeling clean, the drawbacks I mentioned make me hesitate. If I try other shampoos and come back to this one feeling it's heavenly, I'll return to change my rating to five stars.

There was absolutely no itching. While it has strong cleansing effectiveness, it doesn't seem to stress my scalp. Even with my oily scalp, it doesn't get greasy the next day!
ConsYou need to pre-wash for a rich lather. Also, a conditioner is a must... The hair gets really stiff after shampooing, but using a conditioner definitely improves it!
TipI've heard that instead of rinsing immediately after shampooing, you should massage it in well and then rinse thoroughly. This helps the beneficial ingredients in the shampoo absorb better into your hair. I've been letting the lather sit for a bit before rinsing, too!

At first, I was puzzled, wondering what this scent could be. But as I kept using it, I found myself growing to like it, perhaps because I got used to it. Lather: The amount of foam it produces is impressive for the quantity used. Especially during the second wash, just 1-2 pumps were enough to lather up hair reaching down to my chest. The cleansing effectiveness was also good. Results: After washing, I definitely noticed less hair fall while drying. However, since I haven't used it for long, I haven't felt my hair strands becoming thicker yet. Recommended for: Those who want to feel their hair is thoroughly cleansed after washing
ConsAfter washing, my hair feels quite stiff. Using a conditioner is absolutely necessary! The price... I'd have to think two or three times before buying it, and only if I really needed it. Honestly, it's too expensive for the amount you get
TipThe instructions say to use half your usual amount for the first wash and a quarter for the second. But for the second wash, one pump is actually enough to create plenty of lather! Just make sure to rinse thoroughly and you should be fine.

It lathers up quite well, producing an above-average amount of foam. With my shoulder-length bob, I found one pump slightly insufficient, while two pumps felt excessive. So, I've settled on using about one and a half pumps. For men with short hair or women with pixie cuts, one pump should be plenty for a thorough cleanse. The cleansing effectiveness is impressive, living up to its marketing as a shampoo that tackles excess oil. My scalp tends to get quite oily if I skip washing for just a day. With previous shampoos, I'd struggle to work up a lather on such greasy hair and often needed a second wash. However, this product foams up nicely even on oil-laden hair and cleanses exceptionally well, which I really appreciate.
ConsGiven its focus on controlling excess sebum, the shampoo tends to leave hair feeling a bit stiff afterwards. Without using conditioner or treatment, combing can feel somewhat rough. The scent reminds me of vitamin pills - it's not the sweet, zesty lemon fragrance you might expect from perfumes or hand creams, but rather a tart, acidic aroma that might not appeal to those sensitive to smells. As I don't have particularly sensitive scalp, I didn't notice significant soothing effects. It feels like a fairly average product to me. Considering its performance relative to the regular price of 39,000 won, I can't help but wonder if there are similar, more affordable options from other brands.

Despite its clear appearance, it lathers surprisingly well. The lemon scent is refreshingly zesty. While it doesn't give a tingling sensation on the scalp, it leaves a pleasant cooling effect after rinsing. With its quality ingredients, it's a trustworthy choice for regular use.
ConsUnlike some shampoos that leave hair soft just from washing, this one makes hair feel stiff and tangled during the wash itself. Without using conditioner, detangling becomes quite challenging. It seems the focus on beneficial ingredients comes at the cost of some convenience, which might be unavoidable.
TipBrush your hair before shampooing

And my hair is long enough to cover my entire back! I applied for this shampoo through The Hwahae Testers because it claimed to help with fine, lifeless hair. Now, I'll give you my honest feedback! Lather: Initially, I didn't follow the usage instructions and just used one pump, which didn't lather well. However, when you follow the two-step method as instructed, it creates a rich, abundant lather! I recommend following the instructions. Scent: While it might be a matter of personal preference, I really liked it! It reminded me slightly of a lemon scent. You can think of it as a fresh, zesty fragrance! The refreshing scent made hair washing a pleasant experience. Irritation: Perhaps because it's free from 15 harmful ingredients, it wasn't irritating at all! I think even those with sensitive scalps could use this without any issues. Effectiveness: Since my hair is long and fine, I usually experience some hair loss. But after using this shampoo, while it hasn't completely stopped, it seems to have reduced! So I'm very satisfied with it and continue to use it.
ConsPrice: Compared to regular shampoos, the price seems a bit high, which is disappointing. So I'm not sure about repurchasing. Stiffness: Using the shampoo alone makes the hair feel stiff, so it might be better to use it with a conditioner or treatment.
TipI recommend using a treatment as the shampoo alone can make your hair feel stiff!
