I bought this shampoo along with other products because J.SOUP treatments are famous. It lathers well and has good cleansing effectiveness. However, I stopped using it because my hair felt dry afterwards. While I wouldn't recommend it, I think it might work well for those with oily scalps. The scent is similar to what's commonly found in herbal shampoos, which might be hit or miss for some. While using it, my hair felt stiff, and despite being marketed as an anti-hair loss shampoo, it didn't reduce the amount of hair falling out at all. In fact, I experienced a lot of shedding. I won't be repurchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 29, 2023
I've tried so many anti-hair loss shampoos, but nothing compares to this one. My scalp used to be flaky and dry, but this is the only product that truly soothes my scalp. It makes your hair quite stiff. The price is on the higher side, so it's best to buy it when it's on sale. However, it's still worth purchasing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 21, 2020
The lather is rich and it seems to rinse off well! I had high hopes, but I'm disappointed. After washing, my hair feels stiff. Even though it's supposed to be an anti-hair loss shampoo, I'm still losing hair just the same. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 20, 2019
For an anti-hair loss shampoo, it lathers up nicely and has a subtle, pleasant fragrance. While it doesn't provide an intense cooling effect like Hwahae products, leaving it on for about 3 minutes as instructed does give a refreshing sensation. I didn't experience any dandruff, dead skin cells, or blemishes after using this. With its generous size, I think it's a good shampoo for daily use. However! I saw absolutely no effect on hair loss... If anything, my hair became stiffer and seemed to fall out even more. I didn't feel like my scalp was getting stronger, and worst of all, my hair became very weak and thin. I used to receive compliments on my hair texture, and even though I didn't have thick hair, it was resilient, thick, and healthy. Now it's in such poor condition that it immediately droops when tied up. It's dry, brittle, and even tangles easily. While I can't say it's 100% because of this shampoo, I wouldn't recommend buying it if you're concerned about hair texture. I regret trusting its popularity and buying it. While it's not the absolute worst, considering the price, it's disappointing... It might feel nice and cooling when used on very oily hair that hasn't been washed for a while. After using this shampoo, I apply an extremely rich conditioner or treatment. That helps a bit with the dryness. Oh, and the Red J scalp pack that comes as a set with this? That's really not great either. It dries out your hair just like the shampoo. It has zero conditioning effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 29, 2019
1. It lathers up incredibly well I've seen many shampoos that lather well, but this one takes the cake. A single pump produces more than enough foam - it's perfect for those looking to save on shampoo. 2. No skin blemishes To be honest, I was quite worried after getting contact dermatitis from using J:SOOP's Riabiche shampoo before... I had already bought this one along with Riabiche, and when I suddenly ran out of the shampoo I was using after Riabiche, I decided to give this a try. Now, I've been using it for over a week, and there's no sign of irritation - it seems to be working well! <Overall, I think it's a solid, reliable shampoo!!> 1. Hair feels a bit stiff It's not as bad as Riabiche, but my hair does feel slightly stiff. However, I don't really consider this a drawback because when I use the scalp heal pack from the same line, my hair becomes super soft and feels great. 2. No noticeable effect on hair loss Honestly, I've used many anti-hair loss shampoos (Ryo, TS, etc.), but I've never really felt like my hair was getting thicker or falling out less with any of them. I didn't have high expectations, so I don't consider this a major drawback. Also, with Riabiche, I noticed more hair falling out after washing, but that doesn't happen with this one. (Maybe because Riabiche was so terrible, nothing else seems like a big drawback in comparison...) I'm not sure if the scalp heal pack from the same line has been discontinued or why it's not listed as a product anymore, but using it together with this shampoo is really great. It's not like there's some amazing synergy effect when used together or anything. It's just that after using the scalp heal pack, my hair becomes so soft that... well, that product is just really good...! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 3, 2018
After using this, the red patches on my scalp from seborrheic dermatitis disappeared. The cleansing effectiveness is top-notch! They recommend leaving the lather on for 3 minutes without rinsing, but I'm too lazy for that. I just brush my teeth and rinse it off right away. Can't wait that long on busy mornings! My hair seems to become... way too dry and brittle... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 7, 2018
It lathers up pretty well and the scent isn't bad. Just average overall. After washing, my hair feels stiff, so a conditioner is absolutely necessary. Definitely need to use a conditioner. Won't be repurchasing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 23, 2018
The scent is refreshingly intense, giving the impression of excellent cleansing effectiveness My scalp felt burning and painful... it gave a stiff, uncomfortable feeling - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 9, 2018
I'm not a fan of this... The feel on the skin is underwhelming and I didn't notice any results. If you have any cuts on your hands, it stings terribly. Beyond just tingling, it's excruciatingly painful. Also, after rinsing, my hair feels so stiff it's unpleasant. I can't tell if my hair has become thicker, and there's no noticeable difference in hair loss compared to before using it. I wouldn't recommend using this. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 4, 2018
I've always had thin hair that falls out easily, and I've been dealing with stress-induced hair loss, which made me really self-conscious about my receding hairline. After using this product, my hair feels fresh and light, and many people have commented that I have more baby hairs now. The M-shaped hairline is becoming less noticeable! It's been almost 5 weeks since I started using it, and it seems to be effective for hair loss. While I'm not sure if less hair is falling out - it might be, but I can't say for certain - I'm really happy because there's a noticeable increase in baby hairs. My scalp used to have no visible baby hairs at all, but now they're clearly visible! If you don't use conditioner after this, your hair turns into a broom... It gets incredibly stiff. Also, it's quite expensive. As a student, the price is a bit daunting. The instructions say to leave it on for 3 minutes, but even without waiting, I noticed a lot of new baby hairs growing.
