I decided to try this after seeing it used at the salon. First off, the fragrance is lovely. It feels quite gentle when shampooing. It seems to leave my hair a bit dry and frizzy. There's no cooling sensation - maybe it's not suitable for dry hair? There's a slight tendency for the hair to feel a bit dry and rough. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 20, 2019
For an anti-hair loss shampoo, it lathers up nicely and has a subtle, pleasant fragrance. While it doesn't provide an intense cooling effect like Hwahae products, leaving it on for about 3 minutes as instructed does give a refreshing sensation. I didn't experience any dandruff, dead skin cells, or blemishes after using this. With its generous size, I think it's a good shampoo for daily use. However! I saw absolutely no effect on hair loss... If anything, my hair became stiffer and seemed to fall out even more. I didn't feel like my scalp was getting stronger, and worst of all, my hair became very weak and thin. I used to receive compliments on my hair texture, and even though I didn't have thick hair, it was resilient, thick, and healthy. Now it's in such poor condition that it immediately droops when tied up. It's dry, brittle, and even tangles easily. While I can't say it's 100% because of this shampoo, I wouldn't recommend buying it if you're concerned about hair texture. I regret trusting its popularity and buying it. While it's not the absolute worst, considering the price, it's disappointing... It might feel nice and cooling when used on very oily hair that hasn't been washed for a while. After using this shampoo, I apply an extremely rich conditioner or treatment. That helps a bit with the dryness. Oh, and the Red J scalp pack that comes as a set with this? That's really not great either. It dries out your hair just like the shampoo. It has zero conditioning effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 3, 2018
After using this, the red patches on my scalp from seborrheic dermatitis disappeared. The cleansing effectiveness is top-notch! They recommend leaving the lather on for 3 minutes without rinsing, but I'm too lazy for that. I just brush my teeth and rinse it off right away. Can't wait that long on busy mornings! My hair seems to become... way too dry and brittle... - Hwahae UserOily SkinMay 10, 2018
I think this is really false advertising... I bought it knowing I might be fooled, but it's truly disappointing. My scalp is oily, but this made it even greasier and more brittle. I'm just going to stick with the shampoo I've been using - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 16, 2018
After a month of use - I decided to try this shampoo during a sale, switching from a fairly good one, to address hair loss and cleanse my scalp. Though it's only been a month, I can see tiny new hairs growing in sparse areas. It lathers well, and my routine is simple: apply, wait 3 minutes, brush teeth, then rinse. I'm excited to see the results after three months and will update my review then! I'm not sure if this is part of the scalp cleansing process, but after shampooing and drying, my scalp becomes incredibly itchy. I end up scratching intensely, and I've even developed some scabs. I'm hoping this is just part of the transition phase. I'll update on this in two months. Conditioner is a must! Using just the shampoo leaves my hair static-y and dry. While this could be due to my color-treated, damaged hair, it feels drier compared to my previous shampoo. Despite having short hair, I need three pumps, which seems like a lot. The 3-minute wait time is perfect for multitasking - I use it to remove body hair or brush my teeth!
