I tend to layer toner multiple times, and it's definitely great for deep dryness. The texture isn't watery and runny, nor is it thick like mucus. Since the ingredients are good, I even share it with my middle school child.
ConsThe price and the scent might be hit or miss for some people. I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, but other family members say they don't like the scent.
TipI often layer this toner multiple times or use it together with facial oils.

Perhaps because it's made with fermented kombucha, it felt gentler and my skin accepted it well. + This seems more like a toner suitable for patting rather than an exfoliating toner. The texture isn't completely watery for wiping, so I'd recommend using an exfoliating toner first, then patting this on to smooth the skin. I noticed my skin became silky smooth after using this toner. + I didn't experience any blemishes at all. With continued use, it seems like it could help with anti-aging too. I think this might be the kombucha effect.
Cons+ The disappointing aspect for me, as someone sensitive to smells, is the very strong, pungent odor. I understand it's unavoidable due to the kombucha, but I find it hard to tolerate.

It's perfect for me! The texture is like a rich serum or essence, not too light, and it fills my skin with hydration, leaving it wonderfully moisturized. Being a low pH toner, it's safe for sensitive skin. I'm satisfied with how it balances my skin's oil and moisture levels while also having a calming effect.
ConsThere wasn't anything major to complain about, but I was a bit surprised at first because the scent isn't particularly fragrant when applied. I think this is because it's a natural cosmetic without artificial fragrances. After using it a few times, I got completely used to it and found it fine.
TipWhen your skin feels extremely dry, I recommend using this as a toner mask. Generously soak a cotton pad with the toner and apply it to your face. This helps reduce redness and eliminates deep dryness. I highly suggest giving this method a try!

Highly recommended for sensitive skin! It seems to be a cost-effective toner with a reasonable price tag.
ConsThe scent isn't quite my style. It might be a love-it-or-hate-it situation for some people.
TipIf you apply it generously before bed, the moisturizing effect lasts until the next morning.

Lightweight texture I prefer thinner formulas over thick ones. You can even use it with cotton pads. 2. Gentle on skin I've had bad experiences with some highly-ranked toners on Hwahae like Dokdo Skin or Hyaluronic Acid toners that irritated my skin. So I'm very careful when choosing toners now. This one doesn't cause any irritation and feels fine on my skin. 3. Generous amount The bottle is quite large. I've used it for modeling masks and the level hasn't gone down much. 4. Hydrating I have dry skin, but in summer I think I could use this alone. It's thin but very hydrating, which I love. This is the main reason why I like it so much!
ConsThe scent... Oh, it's driving me crazy! It's like the smell you'd expect in a monk's room or a teacher's office - which I usually enjoy, but this is so overpowering it gives me a headache. To be honest, this drawback almost outweighs all the good points.

(1) Skin type: I have slightly dry and extremely sensitive skin. It's usually okay, but sometimes it suddenly flares up, becoming itchy and hot... ugh! (2) Absorption: Surprisingly good! I applied it with a cotton pad, then patted more onto my face with my hands. Being a water-based formula, it didn't take long to absorb. However, it did leave a slight sticky feeling. (3) Soothing effect: When I received this, my skin was acting up. I was hesitant to try it but decided to give it a go. The soothing effect was better than expected! After applying this, then aloe vera and a gentle emulsion, my skin calmed down within 10 minutes. In conclusion, the soothing effect is pretty good! (4) Hydration: I switched from a sticky, mucus-like toner to this water-based one, and I didn't feel any dryness at all! (Note: I have slightly dry skin) For about 5 minutes after applying just the toner, there was no tightness at all! (5) Packaging: The bottle is really beautiful! It's clean-looking, allows you to check the remaining amount, and it's just so pretty! It's not too heavy either, just perfectly attractive!
Cons(6) Scent: This is probably personal preference, but I didn't like it at first. It smells a bit like honey, but not quite... maybe tree bark? But now that I've used it for a while, I've gotten used to it and it's okay.
TipApart from the scent, I don't really have any complaints! It was just a nice, easy-to-use toner. Really, it was just pleasantly unremarkable and good!

I appreciated how it really embodies the concept of vegan cosmetics. Scent: Aromatic? Texture: Watery toner! As I have extremely oily skin, I prefer watery toners over sticky formulas. When I first applied it, it felt hydrating and seemed to have a calming effect on my skin.
ConsScent? The aromatic fragrance wasn't to my liking, unfortunately. Since I have very oily skin, I wonder if this toner contains oils because it didn't feel super refreshing after application. I prefer toners that leave a fresh feeling, so this was a bit disappointing for me personally.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis was my first time trying a vegan product, and I felt good about it from the moment I received it. The packaging looks much more luxurious than regular toners, and it seems they've thoughtfully used recyclable paper for packaging, showing consideration for the environment. It gives the impression of a cosmetic that's been carefully brewed for a long time, like a fine tea. The toner's consistency seems more suitable for applying with hands rather than using cotton pads. It's not so much a typical toner for wiping, but more like a thin serum. Recently, I've been dealing with severe blemishes around my chin due to prolonged mask-wearing, and I've been hesitant to use heavy creams for night care. So, I've been applying this toner generously after cleansing in the evening, and it feels more refreshing. The next morning, my blemishes seem to have calmed down a bit. If they could just improve the scent, this would be a toner I'd like to use consistently.
ConsPerhaps due to the various beneficial herbal ingredients, the scent is a bit... While those who don't mind ginseng or red ginseng products might be fine with it, personally, as someone who doesn't like herbal cosmetics, I found the scent slightly reminiscent of traditional herbal products, which was a bit off-putting for me.
TipI tried soaking cotton pads generously with the toner, placing them in a container, and storing it in the refrigerator to use as a mask replacement. It helped reduce heat in my skin and seemed to calm the blemishes caused by mask-wearing. Although I ended up using quite a bit of toner, which felt a bit wasteful, I was satisfied since it served as a substitute for a mask.

I could feel my skin becoming calmer. While it wasn't a dramatic effect, I noticed that not only did I not get more blemishes, but the existing ones from mask-wearing visibly reduced! I also have severe redness, and after applying this toner, I felt it significantly soothed my skin! After application, I didn't experience any deep dryness, and the hydration lasted quite a while. - I really appreciated that it doesn't dispense too much product at once! The toners I used before would often gush out, but this one comes out in small amounts, so there's no waste. This might be a personal preference though!
Cons- The scent might be quite polarizing... To be honest, I deducted one star because of the fragrance. It's somewhat reminiscent of mom's cosmetics mixed with traditional herbal scents? It's hard to describe, but I personally didn't like it... The scent also lingers, so if you're not wearing makeup, you'll probably smell it for a while. - It's not a formula that absorbs immediately, but rather has a slippery texture. Those who dislike slippery textures should take note!
TipAs mentioned above, because it absorbs slowly, I applied it to my face using a cotton pad and then patted it in with my hands. I felt this toner alone helped address my deep dryness to some extent, so I used just the toner and serum, skipping the moisturizer!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.Pros<The Hwahae Testers Review> I have atopic dermatitis, so my skin is dry and super sensitive. If I use products with questionable ingredients or active formulas - basically anything with even slight irritation - my skin is likely to react badly. On top of that, I have combination dehydrated skin, so if I use something too moisturizing or oily, I break out terribly. It's a real skincare dilemma... Naturally, I've tried many toners for sensitive skin with good ingredients (like Dokdo, Isntree, Ceanic, The Lab by blanc doux, Innisfree, etc.). The Hubleoom Kombucha Skin feels similar in effectiveness to those toners, but its organic ingredients are a major plus. Of course, it didn't irritate my skin, and it felt perfectly hydrating without being too oily - the user experience was really great. Let me break it down for you: 1. Texture It's somewhere between a watery toner and a slightly thicker one. The texture is similar to Isntree, but personally, I dislike Isntree's uniquely light yet slippery feel. The Kombucha toner doesn't feel slippery at all and has just the right consistency for quick absorption. 2. Ingredients Excellent. While there are many skincare products with good ingredients, it's rare to find a brand using organic raw materials. The ingredients marked as caution for sensitive skin are both natural extracts, so individual results may vary. It worked fine for me! 3. Hydration and Lasting Power Before the Kombucha toner, I was using The Lab by blanc doux, and I can hardly tell the difference in terms of hydration and lasting power. Both products provide a clean, moisturizing feel without being excessive. (I use the Kombucha toner followed by Dokdo emulsion, and occasionally Physiogel on dry areas - it feels like it balances both oil and moisture perfectly) 4. Packaging The packaging is really pretty, simple, and gives off a warm vibe. It can even serve as a decorative piece on your vanity. I think it's the most beautiful packaging among all the cosmetics I've used. However, as others have mentioned, it is a bit heavy due to the glass container.
Cons5. Scent Hmm... I feel like the scent might be the one flaw. It's above average in all aspects and even has great ingredients, but the fragrance is disappointing. The moment you apply it, there's a strong and unique aroma that hits you - it's the kind of scent that might make you feel a bit queasy if you smell it for too long. Of course, the scent doesn't linger for long and fades quickly. It's not a deal-breaker, more like a minor drawback? I think I might be more sensitive to it because I'm used to fragrance-free cosmetics.
TipConclusion: This is a gentle toner that works well for my atopic, sensitive, combination dehydrated skin. If they could improve the scent, I'd be very interested in purchasing it again!
