This is a review after finishing the entire bottle. I decided to try it since it was created by Director Pi. It has a watery texture that tends to drip, so it's more convenient to use with a foaming dispenser. Even a small amount produces good lather, and the cleansing effectiveness seems decent. Right after washing, my skin feels hydrated, but there's some tightness as it dries. If you apply a mist or your skincare routine right after cleansing, it shouldn't be a big issue. The disappointing aspect is that I wish it came with a foaming dispenser from the start. When using the original container, the product can splash or drip easily. A foaming dispenser is absolutely necessary. With just one pump, you can easily cleanse your face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 1, 2025
It's gentle and nice. It's so mild that I wash my face twice to make sure all my makeup is removed, but I still really like it. The formula is quite runny, so you end up using it up quickly! I find it works best when I wash my hands thoroughly, lather it up in my palms, and then cleanse my dry face with the foam. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 11, 2023
Incredibly gentle, so there's no worry about blemishes, and it doesn't sting even if it gets in your eyes The watery texture often spills over when pouring from the opened bottle. The packaging needs improvement - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2023
Pros: Gentle yet effective cleansing. Great at removing blackheads and excess oil. Love that it doesn't rely on harsh surfactants for its cleansing power. Versatile enough for daily use and light makeup removal with two cleansing methods. Definitely planning to repurchase! The ampoule-like texture means it flows out quite freely. The center-positioned dispenser can be a bit tricky to use. It took some trial and error to figure out the right amount to use. If you're not particularly careful, you might go through this product pretty quickly. Be mindful when first using it, as controlling the amount dispensed can be tricky! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 29, 2021
I've been using this for my morning and evening cleanse since receiving it on 11/26. Here's what I love: Cleansing power: I was worried it wouldn't dissolve foundation, but it removes makeup incredibly well! Its cleansing effectiveness is top-notch. Hydration: Despite its strong cleansing power, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. Texture: It's different from typical foam cleansers. It has a gel-like consistency, or a viscous liquid texture, similar to dish soap. Zero irritation: No dryness or discomfort whatsoever. Eco-friendly: The packaging is super easy to recycle! These two points alone make it a great foam cleanser. While I haven't noticed any worsening of existing blemishes or new breakouts, my skin is extremely sensitive to cleansers. I'll keep monitoring and update if needed. So far, this is one of the best cleansers I've used, alongside What's M Cleansing Oil and Medimix Ayurveda Soap. The packaging could be improved. I mentioned this about the essence too... The gel-like texture makes it hard to control the amount dispensed from this toner-like bottle. Scent: It smells like dish soap. It's not fragrant, but not unscented either. The scent isn't particularly pleasant. Foam: While it's meant to be used with foam, it doesn't lather well on bare skin when removing makeup. Even with wet hands, it produces very fine bubbles. The foam is delicate, but it feels like it uses surfactants that produce less lather.
